Great video mate good advice I have all of those lures and more and they actually work well for bream, trevally ,tailor and even fresh water for redfin my favourite all-rounder would have to be the 1/4 Oz blade bait .
Thanks for the info... Question... what size line is recommended? Is 10/15/20 pound braid with 12/20 pound flouro too heavy? What size jigheads? Im using 1/8 1/12 1/16 with 1 or 2 size hooks, but find maybe too long for the 2 n a half inch... maybe im rigging it up wrong 😅😅 Ive just recently ventured into lures... I do prefer curly tails.. or ones non paddle tail.. never caught anything on a paddle tail 😅 Those answers would be great. Cheers and subbed
Braid you can go up to 20lb if the diameter isn't too thick which is most these days. I would stick to 12lb if you are in Vic a lot of our water is pretty dirty so using that heavy is fine although a lot use less all the way done to 4lb. Yeah some of the hooks will go right down to the end of the grub so bit smaller is better but I still use them and they work. The curl tail does get stuck on the hook more though
@@w0lfm4n43 no worries. Small channel so try to get back to as all comments I see pop up NSW still a ripper place to fish, hopefully the rain eases up to clear up all the systems up there for yas

Great video mate. 👍
Cheers mate 👍
Great vid mate👌🏽, Adding what gear you would throw these lures on would be great info for beginners.
True, was thinking of doing a separate video on beginner bream gear 🤔 might have to if people enjoy these types of videos
@@ChasingFish Great idea mate, I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate a video like that 👌🏽
Hey, what colour bait do you think is best?
Ooo good question, in soft plastics probably motor oil and hard body probably a suji prawn type of colour
Legend!
Definitely want vids like this
Sub for sure
Bought a pack of ebay vibes super cheap and caught heaps on them. 5 bucks for about 5 of them.
I'd love to see a list that excludes soft plastics...to the intermediates we know that z man grubz and slim swimz in motor oil are a chest code :p
Haha fair enough, could make a video. For beginners hard to go past lures that you know definitely catch fish nearly every time haha
@@ChasingFish yea I always use motor oil grubz and slim swimz and only if the bite if not do I switch it up
Daiwa Gekkabijin range of lures all catch bream
