I am always impressed by a side arm cast that goes some 30m and lands in a good spot. Lots of time on the water does that I'm sure, but there's a lot of trigonometry going into those side arm flicks
An excellent vid Steve. You are one of the biggest contributors to recreational/tournament fishing in Australia. At an ABT several years ago, you kindly launched me and parked my car when my nonnny no-showed. Cheers. However as a guy who works in a tackle store- every time you mention Stick Minnows, Sugois, or that green SX40 you love; I hate it, as I know 5 guys in the next week will come in and ask for it. Great vid.
Hey Steve .. 👏 on AOY .. Love your commitment to “who shares wins” .. great vid .. inspired to cull the tackle box .. I have too many choices and there are lures that I never use and others I clearly need to concentrate on 😊 .. never forget when my wife met your mum at Sunnybank quilters and you gave me some fishing monthly mags and encouraged me to get into ABT .. the learning curve continues.. still love it .. thanks for sharing! Steve
Excellent video. Its even more amazing how long it took to make a mussel lure lol. Some blades and Strikepros got close. People colouring their lures black. Stick minnows are great fun all round.
Thank you very much for your great video that I am I am quite impressed how many tactics you have to get sea bream🎉. I normally use only free rig so I should try more variety of lures.
Awesome work champion, with the aqua, are you still using the magic beak worm hooks with the open eye, and do you loose many fish from the knot slipping out the eye of the hook, great video mate, learning heaps,
I'm loving the look of the slow taper of those rods, do you get that across the series of infeet rods or is it a different blank material in the higher end models that allow that?
Don't care - my leaders are long enough for it to mot make a difference. Unless I'm crankbaiting, where I want no braid at all and use straight-through fluorocarbon.
I fish a Lake near me wear boats can’t go cause it’s to shallow for boats boats can only use the channels to get through and not many fish there and full of bream
I dont like the short foregrips on the infeet rods at all will never buy that style of rod there are way better options for me personally. The lures work great good job .
One of the best / well composed natural presentations I have come accross ( great work and thanks for informative info)
Glad it was helpful!

The secret is to not replay the ones that end up in a tree.

Glad it can be of help. The fish are still there and nothing has changed!
It's amazing what you do for fishing beyond your own personal success. Earnt all your rewards :)
Thank you.
Well done 👏, also been reading fishing monthly for 20 years and just wanted to say thanks for all the work you put into it.

Get into it!
Another informative video. Thanks for sharing 👍
They really need to bring in the Daiwa Gekkabijin range of lures again. Sad they have been discontinued
Congratulations on aoy and excellent video
Thanks John. Hope your boat is giving you joy!
Congratulations on AOY
Thank you Steve!
Hi Steve, awesome work as always. mind me asking if there's any particular reasons fishing a shorter rod?
Jerkbaits for me are better to fish with shorter rods - anything you’re giving action to by twitching downwards. The tip doesn’t hit the water.
What model and size reel do you use for the 3lb straight through fluro? Great video thanks
A variety of the 2000 sized Daiwas. Shallow spool.
What do you consider the best low budget *multitasking* rod to throw lures? (Plastics and hard bodies). Appreciate you. Thanks.
Any light actioned, 7', fast taper rod will do all of the techniques.

Have lost two fish like this over the years / both with less than 6lb leader.
Thanks mate, much appreciated
I'm loving the look of the slow taper of those rods, do you get that across the series of infeet rods or is it a different blank material in the higher end models that allow that?
I think it depends on the model.
Hey Steve, what's that landing net you're using ?
I think it’s from Wilson. Fine mesh that doesn’t split the fins of the fish. Nightmare for tangling lures. 😂
Do you pay any consideration to colour of braid? Yellow braid is often cheaper.... what colour do you prefer... if you had to choose just one.
Don't care - my leaders are long enough for it to mot make a difference. Unless I'm crankbaiting, where I want no braid at all and use straight-through fluorocarbon.
Multi colour

Fair enough!
