      Interesting that you say that. I don't know why these videos always assume that the team will try to go to the other side. A perfect counter to his press is a strategy where my players will always have a 2 on 1 advantage over the entire field without shifting sides.

    Very likable dude, but I have to say that this isn`t a functioning pressing-tactic. Every opinion is welcome, but as a A-License Trainer I want the viewers know, that this static explanations are not the reality in a game. You have dynamic routines and runs in the phase of construction, which would let it be easy to play over that "pressing-idea". A simple example is: What happens when the fullback comes back in a flat chain of the defense? Very simple for the other team and the pressure is gone in that idea of pressing.

      Yes, these explanations always assume that the dots on his fake field will do what he thinks they will do and some of his dots don't even move. The press he is talking about would be WELCOME by my team. We commonly use a strategy that would give us a 2 on 1 advantage for the entire field with his press.
