I quite recently moved to Boardman and it indeed is "A Nice Place to Call Home." I appreciate how quaint, quiet, and antiquated it is in Boardman. I came here from a large city after many trials and tribulations in Life. This small town is precisely what my Soul needed. I bought a lovely and gorgeous little Home (outright, in cash) as the real estate prices are SO low and reasonable here. I felt right at Home in Boardman my first time visiting and now that I am settled in after seven months, I am certain I do not ever want to leave. 🖤

Just an FYI...St. James Church was ORIGINALLY on MARKET STREET as was the OLD "Boardman Hobby Center"...The MOVED it to the first then second location over the years...As KIDS, We used to PLAY on the steel girders that were up when they built the "mall". We my dad moved his store to Boardman I was 10 years old AND the "Mall" was NOTHING but a OPEN FIELD with,NOTHING but weeds !!!

Nice video. I'm wondering if you have any pics or information on the stretch of 224 between Glenwood and West. Blvd. I'm trying to remember what businesses were in that area in the 70s, 80s and early 90s (I remember Hills/Ames, Children's Palace) Wasn't there an Isaly's somewhere in Boardman Plaza, too? Would you please consider doing a video on this?

BOARDMAN HAS BEEN ALMOST IN CONSTANT FLUX SINCE 1950 , THIS YEAR REPRESENTS 71 YEARS OF CHANGES WITH BUSINESSES LIKE A&W PIZZA HUT PLAZA DONUTS , SKY BANK HILLS/AMES FRIENDLY'S CHASE BANK ETC . TO MANY TO NAME , AT ONE TIME BOARDMAN PLAZA HAD THREE GROCERY STORES FOR EXAMPLE , TO MANY TO NAME , A LOT OF BUSINESSES AS YOU KNOW WHERE TORN DOWN AND QUICKLY REPLACED BY OTHERS , WOW TIME DOES FLY BY I GREW UP ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF YOUNGSTOWN AND SHOPPED IN NUMEROUS AREAS . PLEASE FEEL FREE TO VIEW OTHER NAPE1962 VIDEOS .

'Walking tour'? Good luck getting around Boardman very easily if you attempt to walk this area instead of drive. :/
