These settings helped my out so much. Before I was only getting 60 with stutters. Now I’m consistently getting 80-115 fps with i5-12600k and rtx 3050 oc.
Squad has always been a hard game to dial in the visuals for me but running nvidia DLDSR at 4k on my 1440p monitor has been good. Much easier to spot things in the distance.

Hi, I used to get 100+ fps on 4k before the update. Now I'm getting 37-47fps no matter what I do. I changed the resolution to 1080p and the graphics to low, it's still doesn't work. I tried to DDU the driver and even rested the pc and re installed win11 with no luck. I have i7 12700k, RTX ,4080, and 32gb ddr5 5200hz. I don't know what's going on ;(. The PC is running stuck with no OC.
@birdz2000 Yes, one of the RAM sticks was underperforming "broken." I tried to run the game on one RAM at a time. One gave me 37FPS and the other 100+. Try this if you have 2 sticks of RAMS and try to install it in the A2 slot. I would recommend looking into ur motherboard manual to find the optimal slot cause it matters a lot.

The stutters could be a lot of things. For starters it could be your API, so mess around with dx11 and dx12 to see if anything changes. Update your graphics drivers, and turn down settings that take up your VRAM. Like you said, a gtx 1060 really is behind considering what is out there today and 6gb of VRAM is pretty much not acceptable for modern games especially after the ICO update. Also try windows updates, or just do a simple check on steam to make sure nothing is turned on that hinders perfomance-verify squads game files. I hope this helps.

Well most likely because you have a gtx 1060, the card is pretty outdated and especially with the ICO it’s not any better for you. Consider diagnosing ur gpu or upgrading, your cpu as well.

Why do you choose not to use AA? Obviously less of a problem on desert map like training range, but on grassy maps is there not stuttering everywhere? I tend to prefer under AA rather than over AA but I end up using low AA with 4 repeats on Squad otherwise horrible
You are correct. For visual you want to increase resolution as much as possible (eg. render scale 125% on 1080p) first. if there are still stuttering issues, you have to enable AA. The lesser the AA the better. I have everything on low except view distance, textures and mesh(?). Maxed my render scale. I also enable AA on low 4x. Sweet spot. 85-90+ fps on a 5700xt.
Make sure you update deivers..get rid of overclocks or undervolts. Remove drivers and install them again. 40-60 fps on an rtx2060 makes sense since it’s a pretty old card but you also might be bottlenecked. Check the ms times as mentioned in the video.
My "ENABLE AA" setting is greyed out, any idea why? Edit: If anyone wants the fix, just click "Clear Cache" on the settings menu and it should turn back on again.
just an advice xD you can turn up shadows and some graphics, it makes the game look much better and cooler and won't hurt your fps because this game is so heavily cpu bound, just like escape from tarkov, especially at 1080p. with your gpu and pc you could play this in 1440p im pretty sure.

Got a new cpu i7 12700 getting good fps but still stutters and droos below 60 sometimes. Garbage optimization. They need to just redo the game from the ground up with ue5. Shit looks bad and still have perf issues after almost 10 years. Pathetic.

Are they going to optimize the game after this update? Because this issue with online games is universal. After every major update people have FPS drop and then they usually optimize games. I just hope they will.
They definitely will improve optimization in future updates…however it is pretty good rn. I have had zero stutters and no fps drops even with the pip scopes and suppression mechanics.
@@resonance32807 For some reason every update they push my computer stutters and lags like crazy for no reason. Every other game I play I average 90-120fps. This game I average 80fps with massive fps stutters that drop me down to 20 fps regularly.
Clear the game cache and clear your gpu/shader caches as well. First bit of gameplay will be a bit choppy as it reloads all the cache but it should be smoother after and give you more fps.
If it’s 4k native, 1440P won’t look as good as 1440 P native. However you can create a custom resolution in order to match the signal resolution to the display resolution
@@resonance32807 I tried with the Dx12 yesterday with frame buffer and got over 200fps but got crash so many times. I saw some people have the same problem with 40x graphics when the frame buffer is on. Suck!

I have the same CPU as you and a better GPU and get higher frametimes with these settings, up to +15 game on local jensens... 32gb 3200Mhz DDR4 RAM & game on SSD.
Instead of these new gamplay updates they should be focusing on performance improvements. For instance I cant get over 100 fps on Battlefield and COD on high setting but this game nah and squad isnt even a visually good looking game graphics wise
Yes, however this game has a lot more going on…for example the maps are way larger and the amount of things that each individual player of 90-100 players can do are way more than a game like COD or battlefield. But I agree there could be better optimization.

Try bios update…make sure RAM is at XMP

That sounds very odd….check your gpu software to make sure anti-aliasing settings are dependent on application or like overriden by the application

I in fact did turn on AA right after publishing this video, the game looks a lot better with AA for me but I’ve had no issues with stuttering…

If it’s ONLY the mod, the only things you can do are either redownloading the MOD on steam workshop or contact developers of that mod.

Probably not max settings…but high may be playable. Maybe get a graphics card with 10+ gigs vram or something stronger in general.
