my dream guest character is kazuma kiryu, he simply would translate very well for tekken, a good amount of combos with trow follow ups, more than 1 fighting style which could be his stances, with his op dragon style moves available on heat mode, tiger drop could be a strong counter move but very risky if you timed incorrectly would be perfect

... the thing about all the series you are choosing here is that most of them are very unlikely. At least for this final slot. There is a reason why they did not reveal the character at the TWT; the biggest event ever for the series. ... this character is BIG. This character is someone they want a lot of eyes on. And I tell you what, fighting games are too small of a genre to have any true impact at The Game Awards. It's not going to be another fighting game character. Those might come at smaller events. This one is meant to put eyes on the game so they will definitely be going with a 3rd Party character that's likely not a fighting game character. ... people also have to consider that Harada is a liar and these colors and random animals he's throwing at us on Twitter are just silly, misleading little scavenger hunts for the fans to buzz over and keep them occupied while they wait and likely has nothing to do with the character. ... and if that turns out to be true, he's probably been having a laugh the whole time watching people desperately come up with the wildest theories and predictions when he just pulled random stuffed animals and colors out of his ass. ... this aside, as much as Cloud or Sephiroth would be cool... the sword characters we have in the game already are insanely cheap. There would be virtually NO WAY to balance those two with their comically long blades without deviating from their speed and style of play. ... this goes for any sword user. Save those for a weapon-based game like that Soul Calibur gem that they took out to pasture with a Double-Barrel Shotgun. ... CQC is the best choice and to that, I say Tifa or Snake.

SOLID logic right there (no pun). You said everything I felt to be true aswell and more. This is it. I feel and hope its Tifa but that also makes you second guess and get this ‘nah to good to be true’ feeling. I only got surprised on this gut feeling once with Sora in Smash, maybe Banjo too. Doom Slayer in MK would have been the same type of deal but MK1 is doubtful right now. So while everything screams Tifa, I know how this usually goes. That said Solid Snake/Big Boss would make MUCH more sense next year following the wake of MGS3R which I doubt will come out in a month or so from now. And they wouldn’t release a character prior to its actual game release no? I never really saw this happen with colabs personally. Its always after. So Tifa or MGS are likely but it could also be something entirely out of left field but still hype af. Then again I can hardly picture what that would be, nothing would beat these two safe for maybe Master Chief or something? I have a feeling that they might not add characters who mainly use two handed weapons like greatswords and staff's due to how difficult it might be to give them universal tools like jabs that are still perceptible as jabs. Thinking about commercial strategies, I would like to share some thoughts: Tifa or Cloud: It will be an enormous hit, and they have the last chapter of the remake series to promote and also the rebirth port to PC Yakuza series: It would be okay, since there is a new game coming out, but the VF series is connected with Yakuza games because of the arcades on it, so I think it would not happen CoW character: Rocky makes sense, since Terry and May are on SF. I dont think a KOF character makes sense, because even they announcing new characters, the game is on its final days Devil May Cry: Hum, I dont think it so, there is no announces related to the franchise right now and the staff related to DmC are recently working on Dragons Dogma. Anime characters related to bandai/namco: I dont think Dragon Ball characters would be easy to portrait in tekken, but that is not impossible especially with the number of players Sparking Zero gathered on the launching. One Piece is always a huge hit, so who knows... Bleach will have a new game next year, so I think it makes sense in a way... 2XKO, it will launch at some time next year, MAYBE we should be considering that. MARVEL CHARACTERS: I dont think it is impossible, since we have Wolverine and Captain America games next year. (Well, wolverine not confirmed next year, but it is possible). Also, Marvel is trying to move forward with games after the failure of Avengers, and they have a very good hit with Marvel Rivals now. KRATOS: it would sell a lot, and it is possible they announce a remaster of GOW greek games, so...

If they was to add a Final Fantasy character I think adding the main character from XIV or the Crystal Exarch could be a good choice due to the job switching system that could act as a stance switch mechanic. For example Tank Stance (Warrior/Paladin/Dark Knight) could act as the defensive stance, And Melee Stance (Dragoon, Monk, Samurai, Viper) could act as the offensive stance.

That's kind of one of the main reasons why a lot of people want her, because she already fits in Tekken perfectly. She could bring some general FF7 mechanics with her, probably would work as some install comeback mechanic. At the end of the day, a lot of people don't want certain guest characters because they bring things out of the regular Tekken world and mechanics to the game, and people find them "broken". I definitely don't think it's going to be a 2d character though okuma was a lucky situation because he was tied into the storyline and that was challenging for them to do to make a character that normally plays in a 2d field
consdiering that Red from Angry Birds, Colonel Sanders and even Trump were considered for Tekken 7. i would expect the most out there for Tekken 8. Bandai could go the Warner approach with the game add add the likes of Goku, Harry Potter and John Wick. But Kiryu, Ichiban, Majima, Scorpion, Liu Kang, Kasumi, Ayane and Hayabusa are all plausiple choices.

IMO, the safest options for Bamco today would be Tifa or Dante (although I would hate it). Personally, the best guest I can imagine (as a Tekken player, martial arts admirer and pop culture enjoyer) would be Spike Spieguel. His agile, floaty and cocky, yet devastating fighting style would be simply amazing in a game like Tekken. So much personality and style, It would be peak creativity for Harada's team, and Peak fun for the players.
Spike would be a very fun addition for sure! And as always is super hard to balance hype and entertainment with game balance for a game like Tekken and potential 2D fighters. It is possible but I think it is pretty hard because of how expensive it would get to pay for the rights to have a Pokemon in the game? It is the biggest grossing brand in the world at the end of the day. And games like Smash have a bigger budget and direct relationships with Gamefreak and the Pokémon Company more than Bandai at least. my dream guest character is kazuma kiryu, he simply would translate very well for tekken, a good amount of combos with trow follow ups, more than 1 fighting style which could be his stances, with his op dragon style moves available on heat mode, tiger drop could be a strong counter move but very risky if you timed incorrectly

1. Wonder Woman (DC comics) - Defensive based character with a strong parry (and or Sabaki variants), and wrestling style throws, a while-running throw, and air grab)

... the thing about all the series you are choosing here is that most of them are very unlikely. At least for this final slot. There is a reason why they did not reveal the character at the TWT; the biggest event ever for the series.
... this character is BIG. This character is someone they want a lot of eyes on. And I tell you what, fighting games are too small of a genre to have any true impact at The Game Awards. It's not going to be another fighting game character. Those might come at smaller events. This one is meant to put eyes on the game so they will definitely be going with a 3rd Party character that's likely not a fighting game character.
... people also have to consider that Harada is a liar and these colors and random animals he's throwing at us on Twitter are just silly, misleading little scavenger hunts for the fans to buzz over and keep them occupied while they wait and likely has nothing to do with the character.
... and if that turns out to be true, he's probably been having a laugh the whole time watching people desperately come up with the wildest theories and predictions when he just pulled random stuffed animals and colors out of his ass.
... this aside, as much as Cloud or Sephiroth would be cool... the sword characters we have in the game already are insanely cheap. There would be virtually NO WAY to balance those two with their comically long blades without deviating from their speed and style of play.
... this goes for any sword user. Save those for a weapon-based game like that Soul Calibur gem that they took out to pasture with a Double-Barrel Shotgun.

SOLID logic right there (no pun). You said everything I felt to be true aswell and more. This is it. I feel and hope its Tifa but that also makes you second guess and get this ‘nah to good to be true’ feeling. I only got surprised on this gut feeling once with Sora in Smash, maybe Banjo too. Doom Slayer in MK would have been the same type of deal but MK1 is doubtful right now. So while everything screams Tifa, I know how this usually goes.
That said Solid Snake/Big Boss would make MUCH more sense next year following the wake of MGS3R which I doubt will come out in a month or so from now. And they wouldn’t release a character prior to its actual game release no? I never really saw this happen with colabs personally. Its always after.
So Tifa or MGS are likely but it could also be something entirely out of left field but still hype af. Then again I can hardly picture what that would be, nothing would beat these two safe for maybe Master Chief or something? Doom Slayer afterall? 😂

I have a feeling that they might not add characters who mainly use two handed weapons like greatswords and staff's due to how difficult it might be to give them universal tools like jabs that are still perceptible as jabs. Thinking about commercial strategies, I would like to share some thoughts:
Tifa or Cloud: It will be an enormous hit, and they have the last chapter of the remake series to promote and also the rebirth port to PC
Yakuza series: It would be okay, since there is a new game coming out, but the VF series is connected with Yakuza games because of the arcades on it, so I think it would not happen
CoW character: Rocky makes sense, since Terry and May are on SF. I dont think a KOF character makes sense, because even they announcing new characters, the game is on its final days
Devil May Cry: Hum, I dont think it so, there is no announces related to the franchise right now and the staff related to DmC are recently working on Dragons Dogma.
Anime characters related to bandai/namco: I dont think Dragon Ball characters would be easy to portrait in tekken, but that is not impossible especially with the number of players Sparking Zero gathered on the launching. One Piece is always a huge hit, so who knows... Bleach will have a new game next year, so I think it makes sense in a way...
2XKO, it will launch at some time next year, MAYBE we should be considering that.
MARVEL CHARACTERS: I dont think it is impossible, since we have Wolverine and Captain America games next year. (Well, wolverine not confirmed next year, but it is possible). Also, Marvel is trying to move forward with games after the failure of Avengers, and they have a very good hit with Marvel Rivals now.
KRATOS: it would sell a lot, and it is possible they announce a remaster of GOW greek games, so...

If they was to add a Final Fantasy character I think adding the main character from XIV or the Crystal Exarch could be a good choice due to the job switching system that could act as a stance switch mechanic. For example Tank Stance (Warrior/Paladin/Dark Knight) could act as the defensive stance, And Melee Stance (Dragoon, Monk, Samurai, Viper) could act as the offensive stance.

That's kind of one of the main reasons why a lot of people want her, because she already fits in Tekken perfectly. She could bring some general FF7 mechanics with her, probably would work as some install comeback mechanic. At the end of the day, a lot of people don't want certain guest characters because they bring things out of the regular Tekken world and mechanics to the game, and people find them "broken". Personally I'm happy with Clive, a cool character and franchise, but I know that A LOT of people will not be happy with him. I definitely don't think it's going to be a 2d character though okuma was a lucky situation because he was tied into the storyline and that was challenging for them to do to make a character that normally plays in a 2d field
consdiering that Red from Angry Birds, Colonel Sanders and even Trump were considered for Tekken 7. i would expect the most out there for Tekken 8.
Bandai could go the Warner approach with the game add add the likes of Goku, Harry Potter and John Wick.
But Kiryu, Ichiban, Majima, Scorpion, Liu Kang, Kasumi, Ayane and Hayabusa are all plausiple choices.

Personally, the best guest I can imagine (as a Tekken player, martial arts admirer and pop culture enjoyer) would be Spike Spieguel. His agile, floaty and cocky, yet devastating fighting style would be simply amazing in a game like Tekken. So much personality and style, It would be peak creativity for Harada's team, and Peak fun for the players.
Spike would be a very fun addition for sure! And as always is super hard to balance hype and entertainment with game balance for a game like Tekken and potential 2D fighters.
