Pia sounds so much like Celine with David, but without the wear & tare of years performing & stressing out the vocal chords. Time to make a song her own. Find a song that is not Celine's, Whitney's, Mariah's. . . You can sing it as well or better than the icon but will always be compared to those powerhouse women. Even Jesse J sounds like Whitney & is awesome in her audition of "I Have Nothing" on 2018 China TV show. So Pia keep going. I love your voice. David Foster is magic. Maybe he can write a song for you, or Diane Warren has a perfect love song for you.❤️💜🌠☄️

She was/is beautiful and has a powerful voice. I think her weakness was connecting. She was like this perfect immaculate singing robot who effortlessly executed the notes on the page but never connected the emotions and conveyed them.
Shd does a bunch of half smiles during this song which is supposed to be so heartbreaking and it disconnects.
I wonder if over the years she has become more heartfelt. Shdcreally is so very talented

For the first time in my life, I had to miss my guess when I guessed who would be in the final of America Idol.
At that time I had guessed that Pia would go on to the final, but Pia had to be eliminated because she lost the vote. I swear by whatever at that time I really couldn't believe it and couldn't sleep that night. Because that's the first time I missed my guess.
Even today, 20-12-2020, I don't believe that Pia won't make it to the final of America Idol. He is the American Idol participant with the best kind of vocals after Clay Aiken in my opinion.

Why is that awkward? I think JLo is a huge fan of those three artists. As successful as JLo is, I don’t think she would argue that Mariah, Whitney, and Celine are the 3 greatest vocalists of all time and are in a different vocal league than her. Also, JLo is a aware that they came out over a decade before she did.

They should have let you hold that first high note. Totally anti climactic after that point, but it was clear you had the voice, they just didn’t let you shine. I watched the David Forester performance, I’d keep the word to All not Wall and it would be 100000000% perfection. Incredible talent, you are huge star whether the world decides or not.
I’m so glad I stopped watching this show over a decade ago. When singers this talented and beautiful don’t win? 🤔💭 I know it’s votes… but my goodness… then the winners go on to do nothing. Kelly and Carrie are the only really successful ones that actually won.

Interscope records did not do a dam thing for the contestants. Did not promote them, nothing. Idol starting going downhill when they got involved. They were only interested in promoting themselves.
Interscope and that idiot who runs it are the reason why for the past 10 years everything on the radio sounds the same, rinse wash, repeat.

This season was all the judges fault especially Jennifer. She’s been delivering ballad songs but they got bored with her and influenced the voters to not vote for her

I don't like this arrangement. Her voice is good, there's just something about the key change. She goes up to the album version and then drops down to Celine's live version. It's just a weird arrangement.
