- June 13, 2004 - The Detroit Pistons' game plan in the 2004 NBA Finals was quite clear: resist the temptation to double-team Shaquille O'Neal in the post and force the rest of the Lakers to carry their share of the load against staunch defensive resistance. The result: Shaquille O'Neal ate, while the rest of the Lakers struggled. In Game 4, O'Neal finished with 36 points and 20 rebounds on 16-of-21 shooting. However, with his teammates connecting on just 17-of-57 field goal attempts (.298 percent shooting), the Lakers fell into a 3-1 series hole with an 88-80 loss.
Kobe Bryant, O'Neal's partner in crime in L.A., finished with 20 points but struggled, shooting just 8-of-25 from the field. His shot-by-shot performance can be seen here: • Kobe Bryant - Game 4 o...

Shaq had no help in this game. I don’t blame him for leaving for Miami later that summer.
No he demanded a trade to Maimi
He got dealt
He already wanted to leave for a different reason. He was fed up with Kobe and didn't want to stick around if management backed Kobe which they did.
RIP Stuart Scott.

They should of never Broke Up This Team Run it Back!💯
And they still got bpiwn out 😂
Lol, you people are delusional. LA never had a chance. Shaq played incredible, and we still whooped that ass.
He didn’t play incredible though Shaq was way overweight. the guy from 2000 and 2001 was long gone
