The fact that the song gets so dissonant, listening to it feels like having a fever dream on how much is happening on the background. Coincidentally, playing DDLC felt like a fever dream so it all connects together, somehow.

A theory I read was that Sayori didn’t get the “instant death” she was hoping for, then started suffocating. Of course, suffocating is scary, so she tried to break free, but could only scratch her neck, hence, the bloody hands.
The fact that she wanted you to kill herself and midway when shes abt to die she regrets it and tries to break free but fails- its so fucking disturbing to me i never thought that was the reason why she had bloody hands-

I watched 3 seconds of your video and then immediately went to go listen to the full song for the first time. This song felt like every line was about sayori. I had only played DDLC for the first time two months ago (but watched a full playthrough years ago), so it is still very fresh in my mind. Sayori is my favorite character, so obviously I chose her route. I knew what happened at the end of the first act, but still dreaded what awated me. And when I did unfortunately find her body, I screamed in a way that my mom would have thought I got murdered if I hadn't warned her earlier that night.
Just wanted to ramble because Sayori is my favorite and I can somewhat see myself in her.
Getting into ddlc and pjsk at the same time is a spectacular experience

Firts of all, I apologize because of my bad english as it's not my first language and you might find some mistakes in the text.
I've been translating the kyu-kurarin's lyrics and the sentence "saigo mita no wa sonna yume" says "that was the dream I say in the end", we can extract the meaning by translating word by word:
Saigo = last
Mita = past simple form for verb "miru" (to see)
No = particle that transforms the "saigo mita" in to a substantive-like construction
Wa = particle that signalizes the theme of the sentence
Sonna = "that kind of" "something like that"
Yume = dream
Translation:
"The last thing I saw was a dream like that"
I consider this translation more devastating because it says directly (saying "the last thing I saw" instead of "I saw at the end" makes me more aware of what's happening, I believe it's because "the end" might seem a period of time longer than "the last thing" that seems shorter and faster, making me conscious that Kurari Chan will stop existing in a bunch of seconds) that while she was hanging she imagined her whole life being happy ("aa shiawase ni nacchimau yo" = "aa I will be happy") and crying in the boy's chest, maybe regretting doing the chuuburarin trick. It also fits in the theory when you know the fact that Sayori's hands are bloody when you gently open the door because she regretted it at the last instance and tried to stop it, but her neck was bleeding and she couldn't go back; the fact that kurari chan imagines a happy life and sort of regrets doing the sayori-trick at the very last moment, connects her more to Sayori.
I don't know if you'll read this because I'm commenting this like 2 years late, but at least I hope I'll contribute a little to the theory explained in the video if someone sees this comment.
