2008 could've really used a stacked legends roster. 2007 had enough stars to not need the stacked legends roster, but 2008 wouldn't even let you have a full 3 show gm mode with the base roster
2008 with three brand GM mode would have benefited from having a 65 man roster or so. Playing GM mode and only having 16 wrestlers or even less if you didn't unlock anybody is terrible to play

Also when WWE/THQ were releasing games around October/November time, the cut off point for releases, returns or debuts was April/May So when the game came out it was to reflect the roster on May the 1st of that year. So SmackDown vs Raw 2007 roster was who was on the roster from May 1st of 2006. So apart from Nunzio those names you mentioned were not eligible to be in SVR 07.

What makes me love SVR 2008 is your soundtrack, to listen to everything without wanting to spend the music ... And 2008 was the last of RAW's old layout and SmackDown .. In 2009 onwards it was standard. The 2008 cannot be the best in everything, more in terms of nostalgia is the most spoken and remembered at least by the people I see or speak.

06 was my favorite! I had the triple bundle of svr, svr 06, and svr 07. I have played so much of the GM mode, and sadly my ps2 has stopped working, or I would go load it up right now.

Svr09 was my first svr, its honestly underappreciated. Yeah sure there weren't too many things to do in it but it did introduce road to WrestleMania which is in my opinion, the best thing in a WWE game ever, and yes better than my gm mode.. overrated in my honest opinion. But svr07 and 2011 are without a doubt better and top 2.
SvR 2011 will always have a sour note in my heart, as The Hurricane has always been my favorite wrestler and that fact that he’s not playable but technically in 2 matches, one where you “team up” with him(Christian and Hurricane vs Hart Dynasty backstage) and in a challenge match in Rey’s RTWM means I just can’t forgive that game. SVR 2006 for the win.

It’s just SVR 06 was missing Matt Hardy, Victoria, Hardcore Holly, Maven, Tomko, Rosey, Simon Dean, Johnny Nitro, Joey Mercury, Melina, Kenso Sasuki, Funaki, Nunzio, Billy Kidman, Val Venus, Viscera, Matt Morgan, Luther Reigns, Antonio, Romeo, Akio, Maria, Dawn Marie, Miss Jackie, and Hiroko. They were all eligible to be on the SVR 06 Roster but weren’t, Matt Hardy technically was eligible but because he originally got released in April of 2005, they scrubbed him off the game, but Matt Hardy would return just 3 months later in July of 2005.

So anyone who debuted or returned after the 1st of May of a given year wasn’t eligible to be in the game. With the game now being released in March now the cut off point would likely be the 1st of September.

Only complaint I have about this video. Smackdown vs Raw 2007 is considered the greatest SVR in the franchise. Plus is one of the greastest wrestling games ever made.
If you were a wrestling fan only during the Monday Night Wars, then Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes The Pain were the best Smackdown games for you. Both games rosters were basically a combination of the biggest stars in WWE/WCW/ECW back in the late 90's early 2000's (plus Brock/Cena/Orton/Batista).

2011 I didn't care about the Roster. Most of the guys that were apart of it were legit rookies that year, and nowhere near the stars they are today. I think SVR 07 clears that roster by miles.

I just played them all . Svr 2006 gave me so much nostalgia, 2007 roster made me more hype but it missed the 2006 feeling & storymode . 2008 mechanics were great but overall blahh, 2009 a step up but blah the no legends killed it. 2010 a step up , 2011 equal with 2006 just better mechanics
Svr 08 had a lot of content but a small roster. Svr 09 was kinda empty, that game only had Road to Wrestlemania. A slightly bigger roster than Svr 08 but it didn't have legends. From my standpoint, SVR 08 was more enjoyable and better than SVR 09.
06,07 generally my favorite. It was 11 and08 but they were really underwhelming I thought 11 coulda have been gm mode still especially with that roster. Adding ecw in 08 shudda been a game changer but not really

Svr09 was my first svr, its honestly underappreciated. Yeah sure there weren't too many things to do in it but it did introduce road to WrestleMania which is in my opinion, the best thing in a WWE game ever, and yes better than my gm mode.. overrated in my honest opinion. But svr07 and 2011 are without a doubt better and top 2.
He said we all knew what happened to GM mode after 2008, but I don't! Lol
SvR 2011 will always have a sour note in my heart, as The Hurricane has always been my favorite wrestler and that fact that he’s not playable but technically in 2 matches, one where you “team up” with him(Christian and Hurricane vs Hart Dynasty backstage) and in a challenge match in Rey’s RTWM means I just can’t forgive that game. SVR 2006 for the win.

It’s just SVR 06 was missing Matt Hardy, Victoria, Hardcore Holly, Maven, Tomko, Rosey, Simon Dean, Johnny Nitro, Joey Mercury, Melina, Kenso Sasuki, Funaki, Nunzio, Billy Kidman, Val Venus, Viscera, Matt Morgan, Luther Reigns, Antonio, Romeo, Akio, Maria, Dawn Marie, Miss Jackie, and Hiroko.
They were all eligible to be on the SVR 06 Roster but weren’t, Matt Hardy technically was eligible but because he originally got released in April of 2005, they scrubbed him off the game, but Matt Hardy would return just 3 months later in July of 2005.
You also forgot to add Bobby Lashley,The Boogeyman,Cade n Murdoch,Goldust,Mexicools
@@WowSuchGaming2009 Like I said the cut off point was 1st of May, for releases, debuts or returns.
It’s usually roughly 6 months give or take before the game came out would be the cut off point.
So anyone who debuted or returned after the 1st of May of a given year wasn’t eligible to be in the game.
With the game now being released in March now the cut off point would likely be the 1st of September.

Only complaint I have about this video. Smackdown vs Raw 2007 is considered the greatest SVR in the franchise. Plus is one of the greastest wrestling games ever made.

If you were a wrestling fan only during the Monday Night Wars, then Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes The Pain were the best Smackdown games for you. Both games rosters were basically a combination of the biggest stars in WWE/WCW/ECW back in the late 90's early 2000's (plus Brock/Cena/Orton/Batista).
Whichever had the shower scene was best career, and the fleshed out create a finishers in the newer was great.

2011 I didn't care about the Roster. Most of the guys that were apart of it were legit rookies that year, and nowhere near the stars they are today. I think SVR 07 clears that roster by miles.

I just played them all . Svr 2006 gave me so much nostalgia, 2007 roster made me more hype but it missed the 2006 feeling & storymode . 2008 mechanics were great but overall blahh, 2009 a step up but blah the no legends killed it. 2010 a step up , 2011 equal with 2006 just better mechanics
Svr 08 had a lot of content but a small roster.
Svr 09 was kinda empty, that game only had Road to Wrestlemania. A slightly bigger roster than Svr 08 but it didn't have legends.
From my standpoint, SVR 08 was more enjoyable and better than SVR 09.
