how do you not have Austin in a SvR game? He is fun to play as.

I was happy that wwe svr 09/2010 roster lacked legends, i was getting annoyed that they were included each year, i won't use or touch them & only wanted a wwe game with the current roster. Thq could've replaced the legends by adding new superstars but no. The roster was great & big back then so there was no need to be in at all, i don't hate them but it gets repetitive seeing the same legends, if they were to add new ones we never seen before like wcw bret hart, warrior, hogan not his nwo version even if it's one time appearances then I wouldn't mind because outside of wcw games have not been in official wwe roster. That's just me though & always love 09/2010 for no legends.

The worst thing I ever did was sell my PS3 and all my games for it. I had every SVR that was released on it. Not no more 😂😭🤦🏻‍♂️ I wish the PS5 had full backwards compatibility. I miss this game series so bad. Mainly for their silly/fun game modes and rosters. I specifically miss 2009 for it’s Road to Wrestlemania gameplay. I remember getting that for Christmas. Was too entertained 😭😭

Adding Legends in wwe games is one of the best features they ever added to these games. Not only is it nostalgic for older long time fans, it can also be a cool introduction to those who didn’t grow up with them.

Something I didn't even notice until now is the probable reason why guys like Bret Hart, Sgt. Slaughter, Mr. Perfect and Rick Rude were in the SVR games to begin. While many legends were signed to legends contracts which allowed them to be in the games, I think some were in due to the DVDs which were sold at the time. You can see these DVDs in the instruction manuals of the games at the back. WWE DVDs featured "Life And Times Of Mr. Perfect", "Bret Hart: The Best There Is, The Best There Was And The Best There Ever Will Be", "The Ladder Match Volume 1" and "The Spectacular Legacy Of The AWA". Most the legends in the games were featured in these DVDs and maybe as part of the deal, their contracts also allowed them to be part of the games' rosters. Of course, I'm still speculating but it's not out of the realm of possibility.
