well keep in mind there are a few ways to work midi into guitar, you can have a midi "pickup" device that converts the string vibration right into normalized midi tones, (you can even have each string be its own channel) or you can get a midi interface that you plug your guitar straight into (a small device the size of a guitar stomp) and process it in your DAW. you can do a lot but you have to find good quality processing or else it will sound silly. The hardest thing to find is good amp models
