Man I feel you. I am also so disappointed by this specific part of the process at first seen all the people saying they failed the poly unfairly and that they were truthful through the entire exam. So I was a little skeptical about it. I honestly thought maybe they really were not honest on something at all. After I took mine I completely understand now that they indeed want you to fail. I was told I was not being honest in one of the questions and my examinator tried everything he could do to make me change my answer which he did not succeed because I was telling the truth at some point I got so frustrated and just wanted to get out of it. I really felt I was being treated like a criminal. He would not accept my answer and said whatever I say will not matter because I already had failed the test. This is just wrong man, a guy with an inaccurate machine that is a completely stranger to you will decide if you continue the process no matter how qualified you are for the career this is just wrong in all sense. I hope they get rid of this requirement soon I am certainly sure they're losing so many good people.

Go to an agency that doesn't require a Poly.. New Mexico State police, Portland Police, WA state corrections. I mean CBP isn't a general authority Post certification, it's a FLETC or federal academy. It has no transferability to any other real local departments. Law enforcement pays pretty well. I was corrections, and was making $30hr. It is what you make it to be, I'm chasing after becoming POST certified now. If you're in Cali look into Butte Law enforcement academy. Or look at states which allow a self sponsored academy, usually if you send your self there's no need for a poly after. As someone who knows its pseudoscience??? I'd never attempty a poly. They aren't admissible in court because they had a guy say he did commit murder and passed, and then say he didn't and passed. LOL.

Bro the moment you said that you took your polygraph in San Antonio, I knew you didn’t fail your polygraph. You need to reapply and take your polygraph somewhere. San Antonio is under investigation because they keep on failing people for the polygraph. We had other employees at my station fail in San Antonio, and then go take it elsewhere and pass. If your closest location is San Antonio for the CBP polygraph do not take it there. Drive the extra hours and take it elsewhere.
