I could count the Boss Monsters of Vector and Nash (and also Mizar, but this is shared with Kaito in general since they both use Galaxy Eyes Boss Monsters) Other than that, there aren't many memorable Boss Monsters in my opinion (at the most, I rescue Number 9: Dyson Sphere, but only for being the biggest Monster in all of Yu-Gi-Oh)
Agreed. Especially IV. Those Gimmick puppets are nightmare fuel. I remember number 15 was everyone’s favorite back in Zexal of how ominous it’s presence was. The music, the tone, the sound effect and it’s soulless expression with the scariest effect activation in all of Yugioh. Even the those XYZ fodders are creepy.
Honestly, it should have ranked higher for that alone, DIO hamming it up when he once again brings the power of tarots against the main characters is amazing.
The different theme music that plays when the villains summon their aces sends chills down my spine and it’s really cool. Also the emotion that goes into the summoning chant is really awesome
I love it when Antagonists create a new way to break the limits of the game. Rank 13, Link 5 and 6, Integration, Maximum and Fusion Summon. It is a great way to introduce a new mechanic into the show that some characters could possibly use in the future
I loved Z-ARC's integration summon, because it was him going beyond the limits of duel monsters, and reviving the beast that destroyed the original dimension
I know I’m old but DM and GX will always dominate these videos for me. Not because they’re the originals but I prefer hand drawn and animated style over blocky CGI summons any day >
Why do the Go Rush and Sevens summons go so hard!? I keep on replaying the Gigantomachia summon, and it's so awesomely fire!!! Plus... I have to say... It does tempt me- A BIT, I TELL YOU! to watch Sevens and Go Rush.
Even if you don’t want to watch the shows, certain scenes and summonings go so damn hard indeed, it’s one of my favourite parts about them. One summoning I recommend you check out is Nail summoning Yggdrago for the first time. I love Sevens but that scene, Much like Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon from Arc-V, had no damn reason to be as hype as it was
My favourite Summoning Chant from Sevens is from episode 83, with the dual Maximum Summons between the Machine Cavalry Club and Sebastian. All the VAs pour their fucking hearts into those chants and the track that plays underneath the chants, Tomo no Yuki, is such a fucking powerful song
Everyone else having these great (or at least age appropriate) intimidating voices for their summon chants, meanwhile Dartz and Yami Bakura out here still trying to summon puberty.
He isn't quite an antagonist at that point but when Spectre extra links Lightning (and when Lightning breaks the extra link) was one of the most awesome back to back "quasi-boss" summons in the series
im surprised Mizael summoning No 107 isnt here as wasnt that the first over hundred number we were introduced to (apart from OP) also Yuris Starving Venom Fusion Dragon against the Gx knockoffs was badass
Dylan, you should make a video about the number of times a duelist uses cards from other duelists. For example, Yugi with 8: - Grandpa Muto's deck in episode 1 - Joey's cards (Flame Swordsman, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and Claw of Hermos) - Téa's card (Magician of Faith) - Tristan's card (Cyber Commander) - Kaiba's card (Fiend's Sanctuary) - A Dragon deck used by the duelist in the KC World Championship arc
Aki using Stardust, Anzu using Dark Magicians, Yusaku using Borreload Furious, Yusei using all the Signer Dragons, Yugi blending his deck with Kaiba's, Judai using Ojamas, Yuga using his friend's aces, Romin and Luke borrowing Yuga's decks, Yusei making use of Yuga's Maximum...there's plenty to go with.
@@christopherb501 "Yudias making use of Yuga's Maximum" fix. Similarly, you can add Yuna to the list of people borrowing Yuga's Deck (and to a lesser extent, Otes, with the Sevens Road theme). I like most of the summons of the side bosses in 5D’s. They have very distinctly cultural and religious vibes. Like Rex summoning Inti and Quilla is very Aztec, team Ragnarok with their Nordic Gods and Z-one’s timelords are angelic like Judaism and Christianity. Like 5D’s was that rare time where it has representation for everyone but no one respected it. Also like Don Thousand’s number 1-4 summoning sequence.
from the 25 list, my personal number 1 has to be Z-ARC for both its soundtrack behind it, and the massively threatening red smoke is just 20/10. Also, the Integration summon is reminiscent to the former summons that made the user fuse with the monster
Supreme King Z-ARC literally has Dark Souls Boss music as his build up and entrance theme. Nothing can top that. Though I wish Z-ARC summoned him out when all duellists and even Ray entered the fray altogether.
I loved the scene where Judai thinks he destroyed Yubel and then through the smoke the music swells and Yubel speaks then the big reveal of Das Abscheulich Ritter
Yuo in Sevens was something: getting out creepy dolls, bringing back the extra deck AND creating a new type that then beat the main character was something else entirely, you spent that entire arc wondering what was going to happen next.
i love AI''s way of how he like sumoned the arrival cyberse @ignister like when i saw that scence, i wondered how was he able to pull it off with 6 extra deck monsters lol also next up: awessome maximum summons
