      I went to college where the former bball team's center played in the NBA for a few years in this era. He played pickup with us at college and on our practice team against the bball team. The former NBA-er said Grant Hill had the quickest first step of anyone he ever saw--and think of all the legends in that era. Sad he succumbed to injuries, but his peak was up there will the all timers.

      @venxerheim1848 3 месяца назад +1

      This is also what I observed from Grant Hill. His dribling is so efficient and his footwork is crisp. Not to mention his craftiness in it coz his movements always look like a 'thriple-threat': might shoot, might pass, might drive. Considering that he causes trouble on Pippen (a great defender) really speaks about his offensive prowess. Really sucks to know that he suffered from injuries early on in his career. One of the really great 'what if's' in NBA.

    Grant Hill was basically LeBron before LeBron. He was the SF that could get you 25 points, 7 boards, and 7 dimes and was always a triple-double threat. I remember his first step and hesi in-between the legs crossover was so devasting that he was basically unguardable and like LeBron, he would always make the right play. I remember he was one of the first players that could really attack Mike and Scottie, usually, most players would cower in front of them but he was crossin' the shit out of them from day one! LOL We still got 6 really, really good seasons out of him before injuries took him out of his glory. He came back to end up being a solid starter for a few years but let's remember that Grant Hill was once christened as the Heir apparent to Michael Jordan for a very good reason. He was one season away from being crowned the king. He had it all, the swagger, the cool shoes, the maturity, and the bad chick (Tamia)! LOL Plus he bought FILA back!

    Prime hill is one of the best ever, people forget how good he was, i'd take him over lebron in his prime anyday

      Grant Hill was very fundamentally sound.
      Lebron is just a beast and prodigy.
      I like Hills game better.

    He’s effortlessly elite
    Only bad thing is that he played for Duke

    A monster.. I loved his game. All of it. even as a native Chicagoan, I had to admit... Grant Hill is gonna be a 15 year problem.. I HATE that injuries ruined him.

    Watching these highlights I see so much Grant in Kawhis game now that I think about it. The dribble stop pull ups are the same the occasional post fadeaway. And both of them have sneaky athleticism even tho Hill has a lil bit more than Kawhi their games almost identical

      Hill is way smoother; while Kawhi is stiff.

    One of the fewest players that can easily get to the basket, especially off a 1 or 2 dribble move. In his prime and at Duke Grant was that dude.

    Grant Hill would be great in today's game. Athletic 3-4 with ball handling and footwork and always a triple double threat.

    That rebound he stole from Jordan and then put it down on him. That needs to be talked about more. Also, Jordan took that personally.

    I really enjoy guys like Hill and Pippen. Their play styles are so similar, explosive first step, I also notice how low they keep the ball on thheir dribble drives
