Grief shows up differently for everyone. I think she is finally getting back into racing and her regular life. She probably didn't want to be in the spotlight or around people in general. It took years for me to get back to a semi-normal life after being a caregiver and losing my mom, and I was 34. At 19, I know I would have been even worse.

I'm jamaican living in Texas for the past 22 years and I been all over the US and I will tell you that running/sprinting in jamaica starts at a early age like what baseball or basketball in the US for her to beat the jamaican team now at her age she will have to give up everything and put training frist nigh and day because them jamaican been training all there life this is the easy part for them now..
Congrats 11:37 and not 10:37 but it is small steps to big spikes going forward and you have support. As a Jamaican we want a competitive World Championship with small Shaq in the mix. That was a race filled with 10.8 and 10.9 runners. Everyone ran 11.3 and worse in the cold, and rainy conditions. So you can subtract about .4 seconds from the times to convert it to reasonable weather conditions.

Ms Richardson is exhilarating to watch mostly for her on track performances. Watching her dominate at LSU gave me hope in the future of the USA’s sprint program. While I thought she went pro too soon, I understood. Her off track activities are those of a young woman who is coming into her own while under the brutal spotlight of public scrutiny and opinion. On one hand, good for her for living her life out loud - the scorned lover, breast implants, tats, hair & nail expression, IG profile, trash talking and all! On the other hand, as she matures and begins to heed the best advice of coaches and others, the novelty of much of this off track stuff will wear off, leaving her and us to reminisce fondly even as we focus on her talent.
Problem is she doesn't let her running do the talking and so people will say she can't back up all that trash talking she does... the Greats always come through in the clutch.. Sha'Carri hasn't come through for shit!

11.37 is terrible against Elite sprinters...rather this is her first or 2nd race. You need to be starting out sub 10s to even get in Elaine and Shelley's territory, then you improve on that. You're celebrating an 11.37 barely beating subpar runners, if you're a 10.67 runner...that time and win is disappointing.
TT is not sub-par. Sant-Price has run 11 sec 100s before and is one of the best 60m runners in the world. ShaCarri may not have been up against the best in that race but you can't sleep on all the other runners.
Of course she'll care about the time. The field was a no name race. Her time wouldn't rank her in a high school meet. She hasn't been injured, she's been 'training". She was suspended for 30 days almost a year ago. She is almost 10 yards behind SFP and Elaine T.

I am Jamaican, I love seeing Shacri back to winning ways. The time is inconsequential with the rain and that stumble.

I'm jamaican living in Texas for the past 22 years and I been all over the US and I will tell you that running/sprinting in jamaica starts at a early age like what baseball or basketball in the US for her to beat the jamaican team now at her age she will have to give up everything and put training frist nigh and day because them jamaican been training all there life this is the easy part for them now..
Congrats 11:37 and not 10:37 but it is small steps to big spikes going forward and you have support. As a Jamaican we want a competitive World Championship with small Shaq in the mix. That was a race filled with 10.8 and 10.9 runners. Everyone ran 11.3 and worse in the cold, and rainy conditions. So you can subtract about .4 seconds from the times to convert it to reasonable weather conditions.

Ms Richardson is exhilarating to watch mostly for her on track performances. Watching her dominate at LSU gave me hope in the future of the USA’s sprint program. While I thought she went pro too soon, I understood. Her off track activities are those of a young woman who is coming into her own while under the brutal spotlight of public scrutiny and opinion. On one hand, good for her for living her life out loud - the scorned lover, breast implants, tats, hair & nail expression, IG profile, trash talking and all! On the other hand, as she matures and begins to heed the best advice of coaches and others, the novelty of much of this off track stuff will wear off, leaving her and us to reminisce fondly even as we focus on her talent.
Problem is she doesn't let her running do the talking and so people will say she can't back up all that trash talking she does... the Greats always come through in the clutch.. Sha'Carri hasn't come through for shit!

11.37 is terrible against Elite sprinters...rather this is her first or 2nd race. You need to be starting out sub 10s to even get in Elaine and Shelley's territory, then you improve on that.
You're celebrating an 11.37 barely beating subpar runners, if you're a 10.67 runner...that time and win is disappointing.
TT is not sub-par. Sant-Price has run 11 sec 100s before and is one of the best 60m runners in the world. ShaCarri may not have been up against the best in that race but you can't sleep on all the other runners.

The issue with SHA'CARRI RICHARDSON is that she just is not that likeable, before all the stuff happened before the Olympics I was rooting for her, but my view changed when she did an interview. She just says all the wrong things, just not sponsor friendly, maybe different now, but with her celebrating before the finish line is immature, not like she just won the Olympic trials, lol.
