@@ObsessiveCarDetailer absolutely! Like I said, I never thought of using it to dry the car with. I had a nightmare with water spots last year, so I’m definitely getting one now 😂
The Dewalt has almost the same performance as the Flex that many detailers use but cheaper. Because you already have Dewalt tools it will be even cheaper still. Clearly you like the make so give it a go. There are reasonably priced mains blowers on the market but you have the issue of dragging a lead around and as I said in the video, it wouldn't work for me. Me and the blower would come to blows 🤣
SteveRabbits Hi Steve, it works great for me. Have a look around and get what works for you. Hopefully I have given you something to consider. Let me know what you get 👍
Next to my jet wash, my blower is my next piece of essential kit I couldn’t do without. I have to get an extension lead out anyway for the jet wash so having a mains one is not an issue for me. I had for many years a mains hand held one similar in size to your Dewalt but a couple of years ago got a Bruhl MD2800. This is a twin fan monster that blows warm, filtered 180 mph hurricanes so I dry the whole car with it and so don’t use drying towels hardly at all. A year or so after I got it, the Big Boi Pro came on the scene and apart from the wheels and the colour, the unit itself and specs are identical. Must be made in the same factory in China as these things often are except I got my Bruhl for £160 and the Big Bois are over £300. They’ve gone up a bit now but are still under £200 so not bad for what they are.
Chris that sound like the ideal piece of kit for me if only I had a double garage where I could permanently install it with an expansion hose. Me & trailing leads don't get on, that's why I have situated my pressure washer in one place and fitted a 10m hose. If only I was normal🤣. The question is, what is normal. Bit deep for this time of the morning🤣
Great video Martin, I remember you showing this on the channel a while back comparing it with the Flex as a cheaper option, makes good sense if you have a tool system that takes all the same batteries
I guess its all about what works for you.. If I had a double garage where I could fix a mains powered one with a flexible hose it would be great but you have to go with what works & in my little workshop I stuggle with space 🤷🏻♂️
