if you ask me the biggest benefit of changing a faulty nox sensor is getting the fuel consumption as low as possible, bad sensor=high fuel consumption. it also makes the engine run at his best, keeping wear and tear as low as possible. i would immediatly change it
You have two sensors, one before the catalytic convertor and one after the catalytic convertor. Usually the one that's gone bad is the NoX sensor which is the one before the catalytic convertor (known as bank 1), easy replacement and the part is pretty cheap.
Have same exhaust sound, code like lambda cata.. thx for this vidéo now im fix on what I have with my 116i 2.0

Hi there, I have the same issue on my 116i. Did a new Nox sensor fix your issue? Thanks
We change Nox sensor and new bougies and until now no problem at all.Afcourse we change also oil with new filter.
@@MrMiniek007 new nox sensor and what also? bougies?
@@kacper2563 maybe sparkplugs
Do you need to adapt after replacing the nox sensor?
No we just replace the original nox sensor and we run the car.Until now no problems at all, car start every day without any problems
Depends on the error code
Apart from getting rid of the engine light, does replacing nox sensor have any other benefits ?

Maybe in your engine is broken head gasket?Try to buy special coolant tester to check the head gasket
