Announcers need to realize that this footage is packaged to be watched online, one group at a time, in no particular order. Giving out spoilers from the other groups was entirely unnecessary.
You know this was an event that happened in a certain order/time frame and was filmed live for television, not the internet? You could have avoided this by looking up the order in which they were aired.
@@Popartastic I agree that it was produced primarily for TV. Still, I've never run into an announcer stating the other group winners before. It seems unnecessary, and media folks know to look out for things like that in a multi-media environment.
Thank goodness the Ridgebacks are back in the hound category. I remember being horrified when they were removed due (I was led to understand) to being both sight and scent hounds in one dog, and therefore confused the groupings. I stopped watching Crufts for many, many years after that nonsensical decision.
Was amazing to watch all the Bavarians showing this year ❤ my absolute favourite breed and well deserving to finally be getting some time in the spotlight
@@turbo5784 Podengo is an amazing breed. I have seen one and zhe loves to lay down up against their human. Is this dog like that? (I take it you're saying your mom is the human, it's neat she got to this level).
Would it be so much to ask to allow the trainers to wear jeans? I get nervous about a dress getting torn or pants splitting every time I watch these videos. Dresses are not made for running.
My baby Merida an Irish wolfhound moves easily but she sounds like a herd of horses running by it’s a good thing we don’t show though because even though she was the runt of the litter she grew up to be 36 inch’s at the shoulder and about 160lbs that puts Her at the top end of size for males so she wouldn’t have qualified for anyone thing maybe even not allowed to be in a dog show and that would have hurt her feelings and. I don’t allow that ever she’s going to be 5 yrs old at the end of this summer and we’ve been blessed by not having any health issues with her maybe if god smiles upon us she will stay that way for another10+years but who knows Does anybody knows what they are doing for the inbreeding. For them and their extinction I emailed someone in IWH medical research and another one with a save the IWH thing a few years ago and never got a respond from either one but they may have thought I was crazy asking about viable DNAfrom some of the old original dogs I know it’s highly unlikely to find some in a 4-5thousandyear old IWH body but maybe in a 5-6 hundred yr old one and they could inject some new blood so to speak into the breed that might go along way toward a healthier longer living breed revive the breed it cant be allowed to let this iconic breed that’s been around for over 5,000 years just die out that would be criminal. Sorry for the novel rant 34:52
my first reaction was that this dogs headshape is a little flat, like its kinda reminding me of the Borzoi headshape... obviously im not a greyhound breeder or a judge, im not an expert so maybe its just my perception from watching on my phone, but yea, i also think this Greyhound looks a little off. but Maybe its just me bc i prefer the racingline greyhounds who to me, look like they have more of an S-shape to their chest/tuck and have taller legs (this showline greyhounds is very.. long)
so shocked the Afghan didnt place. such a beautiful dog

@@turbo5784 obviously too lazy to put the dog on the ground properly and not let it drop like a stone.

Great judge for the short dogs
my favoritt afghan hound
Seems the Wolfie is 1 of the most popular!
I love Hound Dogs! 🧡 because they’re great for going hunting with them!
The whippet handler was awful that dog was strung up so high it could barely touch the ground with it's front legs almost looked like it was limping.
Bloodhound should of won , he was beautiful

is it just me or are greyhounds getting shorter faces?

Pelvic bone and vertebral bodies of the Afghan hound clearly visible @7:48. Shame on Crufts!
That's th Way are supposed to be, breed standard calls for " prominant hip bones"
You have no idea what you're talking about, that is how the breed should look.
its normal for sighthounds to carry very little fat and Afghans have naturally prominent hip bones,
Dude it's literally they're build😂, it's like saying "omg your poodle is so skinny!" When it's literally the standard weight and is fit
Check the standards that's all I can say..
