Well done ghost dog , all looked fantastic , was great to see the golden retriever getting a shout even as a pet , it goes to show 😊. Might take my Viz next year
My favorite breeds from the Gundog Group! Bracco Italiano Clumber Spaniel English Cocker Spaniel English Pointer English Setter German Shorthaired Pointer German Wirehaired Pointer Hungarian Vizsla Irish Setter Lagotto Romagnolo Chesapeake Bay Retriever Flat-Coated Retriever Golden Retriever Labrador Retriever Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Weimaraner
The pointers nose isn’t concave at all. Its not according the standard. Her body is oke. The toller is beautiful. Those goldens are lower to the ground every year it seems. My pick would have been the irish red and white, then the weimaraner and then the toller
Ngl kinda disappointed by this pick and so many of the dogs appeared over weight or out of standard?! like that Brittany. Personally would have went w/ one of the cockers, the clumber or a setter. They were by far the best in condition.
That Brittanywas nothing like ours in US, are longer legged streamlined, & no all are not born bob tail, some in same litter can have long tails,& are docked . All Th British dogs seem"coarse, like irish setter
@@Memow-pk1ng I’m australian and have seen some from both UK and USA lines as well as a few from Aussie breeders. Non looked anything like that Brittany so it was a bit of a shock lol
@@saralackey3435 You miss the point maybe? When people were asked to write to their local MP's and ask them to attend a debate on expanding the laws on dog theft (if I can out it that way) this MP replied that there were already laws in place and did not attend. Sure it's a dog show but maybe they should have chosen an MP who actually cared about that bill.
Many of these dogs appear to be overweight and in poor working condition - a seriou fault when showing a gundog. I won't comment on the handling. The Brits need to up their game.
Personally I don’t like the way of showing, with a short and tight leish. I’m used to show my dog trotting free.. thats the only way a dog can really show his true movement
@@jennykonijnenburg3031 There are good reasons why dogs are shown on a short lead. The dog may be young and difficult to control, it may not be the best mover and the handler is trying to hide imperfections, or the dog may not be properly trained to move on a loose lead. A really good moving dog is best shown on a loose lead, but only when the dog knows what it needs to do and the handler knows how to control the dog. Many of these dog/handler combos were sloppy and all over the place when moving. Notice too that those dogs where not among the placements in the group.
I've watched this for several years and STILL they have two lots of commentators clashing. Totally annoying. I can't be there, so there is no other way to watch.
This is an example of why you need BREED EXPERTS, rather than just a dog judge. Because a lot of these dogs are out of shape, overweight & not to the breed standards (tails not docked, etc).
I don't understand why hendrix is winning anything his tail isn't right for the breed, seems to have a more European look to it. Really shocking crufts
the duck tolling retriever's white feet are ridiculously cute 😍
The labs are the most adorable. 🙂

You have to qualify for Crufts, you can't just turn up, just an FYI.
When did golden retrivers became so short legged? Where they always like this? Labradors too, the working line is waaaaaay better looking.

I don't understand why there is only one judge, but very nice dogs all of them
Other judges get the different breeds to this point in the competition and then one judge examines the group overall.

They all been judged for best of breed by other judges.. That's th Way it's been done, 1 judge& winner of group goes to Best in show, by another ,

The red & white is just a stunning example of the breed along with the Weimaraner. Excellent top 4 but I personally wouldn’t have included the golden
@@NebraskaGonvilleJones i didn’t pick the golden either. As i said to close to the ground. My pick was Irish red and white/weimaraner/toller

Only the Weimaraner pleased me
Presentation made by an M.P who would not attend or support a debate in parliament about making dog theft a specific criminal offence.
Can you please elaborate on this please?
It's a dog show not a political event.

The golden retriever this year is truly awful, when did they became so short legged? The lab and the Brittany are also overweight. Wtf
first one pleace is to line italian spinone and english setter
I've watched this for several years and STILL they have two lots of commentators clashing. Totally annoying. I can't be there, so there is no other way to watch.
Why do they choke them 😢
Exactly. The allure is either there or not, and if it's there, the string should be carried lose on a side
Why can't anyone see that they're choking their dogs? It's hella noticeable.
True, its awful....

Docking is illegal in the UK
@privatecocky8971 no, it isn't.
Docking ears and tails is forbidden in the Netherlands and more countries

How is his tail not right? Were you expecting his tail to be cut off?
It's a German breed
@@carolboyd334 Yes it is.
Crufts is in the UK which is geographically in Europe?? We don't cut tails off here 🥱
Tf are you on about his tail is correct for the breed, in proportion, gently tapering to the tip, raises it but doesn’t go over the back, nice length
