I just bought 2 coach bags and was gifted one recently. I now LOVE Coach!! I have a navy crossbody, a mini backpack and the Parker. Love them. I've showed each of them on my channel too. I'm a tiny RUclipsr, so shameless or shameful plug here 😁😘 Anyway, regardless...I love Coach.

Honestly, I didn’t become such a big follower of Shea’s channel due to the luxury handbags, I still watch the videos because I just love watching Shea (she’s great 💕), but these videos have taught me so much about luxury brands and handbag types and things that luxury brand lovers care about and I now have a new topic to bring up at work when I come across a women with a designer bag. Before I never would have known who it was by or what bag it was, but after Shea Whitney I can call out a good amount of bags and impress quite a bit of my customer 😏 However, I occasionally question if I should watch these videos because I get way too tempted to purchase her suggestions haha
That's a good point I realized that turned me onto designer bags for so long i only saw them as a way to show off you have the funds, but i didn't think that negatively because i still wanted those items myself, but learning which ones are worth the cost and how to find quality in the midrange literally changed my perspective on everything
People who diss coach have nothing better to do with their lifes and need a hobby lol. I love all my coach items, they hold up so well over the years as everyday bags.
So... I knew the antigona would be low on the list because I had the same issues you're experiencing and I think just about everyone else that has the bag has dealt with them. It does get MUCH MUCH better. Keep using it, possibly stuff the bag between the handles or just randomly stretch it open every once in a while. The leather gets softer, the zipper gets smoother, the "teeth" get duller. Took me a few weeks but now it's an absolute fav. xx
Shea I keep bubble wrap in my bags when I am not using them. It maintains the shape really well. I have a gorgeous black Karl Lagerfeld shoulder bag that everyone mistakes for a Channel CC clasp bag. It cost $350 in Newman Marcus Rack.

I think there was a 2-3 year period where the Pochette Métis being manufactured were flawed.....ie. glazing problems. As far as I know they are still making them and in the last few years the bags haven’t had any issues.

Love this visit of bags… I did purchase the givenchy antigonia and feel the shape is what sold me on it because I like speeds so much… however it’s a heavy hitter bag … to me it’s a serious bag in black… funeral, office, a serious classic black bag. So if that’s your purpose for sure get it and love it. Heavier than Louise vuitton and very well made. I’d lean towards saying basic closet necessity. It’s a favorite for me. Pouchette metis I have a love hate relationship there bc you’re right … most anything monogram says casual but in black leather empriante the metis is a home run filling in all the boxes and blk elevates the whole look. Best reguards!

I think the purple Gucci bag looks best on you. I know you love the Balenci....but it doesn’t flatter your figure and look as much. However, it is a more practical purse that is versatile. Love your vids!!
So agree, that while Coach doesn’t have the prestige of luxury brands (I do enjoy a luxury bag, still can’t explain it, but everyone here gets it) the quality (leather, hardware, and craftsmanship) is really really good. I bought a brown Coach Drs Bag for my first briefcase 20 plus years ago and it is still classic and beautiful. A couple other pieces have been bought over the years and I’ve not seen a decline at all. Unlike so many other brands with much higher price points that let their name and “desire” factor drive the price up as the quality goes down.

I have a mini Antigona and when people ask for my thoughts on it I always tell them that I love it, but the only thing that can be a bit cumbersome is the opening. I tell them that the zipper tends to scratch your hand as you go in and out of it. Chanel caviar is absolutely gorgeous and my favorite. I also love aged calfskin as it is softer and the wrinkles add to the character of the bag. I only own a few small leather goods in lambskin and I think that’s as far as my lambskin collection will go. I would be too concerned about caring for a lambskin bag.
Hi Shea! I’m sure you do this... but I keep my favorite mm bags stuffed with air paper and they’ve kept a nice shape so far. I don’t use mine too often. 😊
I have several lamb skin Chanel. I understand your concern, I usually condition it after I use it for about two weeks. The leather conditioner I use is French made, very very good. The best I used. Saphire man’s renovator jar 1925.
💡 TIP : to avoid scratches, use the tab above the buckle on the PM bag when closing to guide towards the lock. You’ll find it’s easier to close this way.

I sold the mini Chanel in the lamb skin after one and a half years. I loved it sooo sooo much but wasn’t using it enough because I was afraid to and it’s way too expensive to leave it in my closet. I got a little over retail for it and invested in a caviar jumbo. Same like yours. Best choice ever. I do want a mini some day but it will be a pop of color in caviar.
A lot of cons are pretty apparent prior to purchasing. Magnetic closure on the chanel, flower on the coach, size of the bag.. were being bought blindly??

This was really enjoyable and very informative. I would like to say that I totally agree with you about the Pochette Metis in canvas being casual only. The ones in empriente leather however are not, I have two and they are so much more versatile, they work with everything from casual, through smart casual, daytime dressy to non formal evenings. I definitely put that one as my number 1 cross body bag. My worst was the Rebecca Minkoff bree circle bag. I just couldn't get that one to work for me. I think it's the top handles that I dislike most. They are too small to put my arm through and when they are put down and it's worn cross body they leave indentations in the sides of the bag. I have been trying to sell it for ages but I can't give it away the resale prospects are so bad. It's definitely my first and last Minkoff bag.

Great video Shea! A little tip regarding the LV Favorite - I have purchased a purse organiser for it as as as soon as I have purchase it, and it's still in a perfect shape, plus spotless!
Same here im so happy with that organizer.. and when it comes to the hardware and those scratches I’ve ordered a hardware protector specifically made for the favorite from thehandbaghaven .. that is also really nice if someone worry about scratches 😊

I don't think I ever buy a designer bag, because I think it's not worth it, but here I am watching your video, because I love your videos! Funny and lovely as always.
I have a mini Antigona and when people ask for my thoughts on it I always tell them that I love it, but the only thing that can be a bit cumbersome is the opening. I tell them that the zipper tends to scratch your hand as you go in and out of it. Chanel caviar is absolutely gorgeous and my favorite. I also love aged calfskin as it is softer and the wrinkles add to the character of the bag. I only own a few small leather goods in lambskin and I think that’s as far as my lambskin collection will go. I would be too concerned about caring for a lambskin bag.
Givenchy Antigona is beautiful. It doesn’t look like it’s sticking out. It’s just a classic.
Hi Shea! I’m sure you do this... but I keep my favorite mm bags stuffed with air paper and they’ve kept a nice shape so far. I don’t use mine too often. 😊

I have several lamb skin Chanel. I understand your concern, I usually condition it after I use it for about two weeks. The leather conditioner I use is French made, very very good. The best I used. Saphire man’s renovator jar 1925.
💡 TIP : to avoid scratches, use the tab above the buckle on the PM bag when closing to guide towards the lock. You’ll find it’s easier to close this way.

I sold the mini Chanel in the lamb skin after one and a half years. I loved it sooo sooo much but wasn’t using it enough because I was afraid to and it’s way too expensive to leave it in my closet. I got a little over retail for it and invested in a caviar jumbo. Same like yours. Best choice ever. I do want a mini some day but it will be a pop of color in caviar.
A lot of cons are pretty apparent prior to purchasing. Magnetic closure on the chanel, flower on the coach, size of the bag.. were being bought blindly??

Now I know ... you struggle with that and some don't quite make the grade! Thank you for sharing your top10 - best & worst about each! I DO love that purple velvet ... regardless! I require bags that will hold my wallet, phone, & large Jimmy Choo Rx Sunglasses case as they're too expensive to just stick in a bag unprotected! I ALWAYS wear them outside! And I wear progressives indoors! Cannot wear contacts for medical reasons. So by the time I get necessities in my purse, it takes a larger bag. Even when I leave "the kitchen sink" at home! I'm looking for medium-sized quilted leather bag that's not Chanel. My only quip is that I'm afraid that the logo will be too big. 🤔 But it looks like the right size on you. And I like that yours is not black.

Shea love these types of videos. Thank you for recommending the new Balanciego bag. I wanted to get the bag but was not sure if it is comfortable and light to carry on the shoulder. Mytheresa had a good sale on this bag and I did not get it. Now that you are recommending the bag, it is easier to decide if another opportunity comes up. Also, I love YSL bags but my Toy Lou Lou is too small and not as comfortable as a cross body bag. I like your YSL, particularly in grey color. By the way, you have a great sense of humor and energy. I am totally shocked your LV Pouchette Metis wasn't first 😯😲 BTW I used the Apple Guard on my LV MM Graceful based on your recommendation and it's been great, accidentally got caught in some snow with it and not a mark on the leather!

LV have done a huge recall on the metis. Even people who thought theirs were fine were told in fact they were not :( I still love it though!!!

This was really enjoyable and very informative. I would like to say that I totally agree with you about the Pochette Metis in canvas being casual only. The ones in empriente leather however are not, I have two and they are so much more versatile, they work with everything from casual, through smart casual, daytime dressy to non formal evenings. I definitely put that one as my number 1 cross body bag. My worst was the Rebecca Minkoff bree circle bag. I just couldn't get that one to work for me. I think it's the top handles that I dislike most. They are too small to put my arm through and when they are put down and it's worn cross body they leave indentations in the sides of the bag. I have been trying to sell it for ages but I can't give it away the resale prospects are so bad. It's definitely my first and last Minkoff bag.
I just buy Dupes and I'm very happy with them all. Nice list though
