Join us for a real time, guided tram ride. We travel through the city and explore all its colors and nuance’s. Want to know what to do in Oslo if you have some hours to spend as a visitor here? Or, you just want an authentic and exotic inside tour of the capital in Norway, behind the tourist attractions? Watch this video. In the end we will present a secret gem, a park to hang out with the locals. Tram 12 covers most of inner city - and drives from the east to the west side. The differences are striking. Both in scenery and in culture.
This is a real-life experience on a packed and warm tram with dirty windows covered in graffiti. You will enjoy beautiful scenery, the ocean, people in the streets, parks, houses, monuments, stores, cafes, bars and a lot more. You will get tips for a cool, but unknown shopping street, where you can buy contemporary Norwegian design and enjoy an organic meal. We will show you the diversity in food options and ride by the cool bars and clubs.
Ronald will explain what you see and be your guide. Mads will be the sidekick and record the whole ride and the little episodes that occur along the route. Ronald knows this tram route inside out and will share his knowledge and enthusiasm for Oslo. Mads is not so found of moving too far from home. You will learn new stuff about Norwegians and maybe change the way you see these people and culture. Even though this is a small city, its very divided. The rich, posh west end with high life expectancy and healthy habits. The diverse hipster area mixed with poverty and drug addicts on the east side.
** ABOUT yourway2norway (your travel guide to Norway and to understand the Norwegian culture) **
yourway2norway (your travel guide to Norway and to understand the Norwegian culture) is a different travel channel. We combine education with humor and entertainment. It’s an authentic inside guide to real life in Norway. We highlight small and large themes, cultural characteristics and Norwegian phenomena. All the stuff you won’t find in a tourist brochure.
The content is perfect for people who travel to Norway as tourists, visit friends and family in Norway, study in Norway or work in Norway. It is ideal for anyone with Norwegian roots and DNA. It is also interesting for anyone who wants to learn more about other cultures and people. And for all of you looking for some smile and laughter.
The guys behind are; Ronald Sagatun - a enthusiastic and sarcastic Sami Latino with a Norwegian passport. Throughout his life he has tried to find out what it means to be Norwegian. Now he shares his hilarious experiences. Mads is a grumpy Norwegian dude, providing the channel authenticity and the typical Norwegian way of viewing the world. We always try to be funny, self-deprecating, human and, when it´s necessary; sincere and passionate.

Travel to Norway, going to Norway, how is it in Norway, Norwegian life, life in Norway, study in Norway, Norwegian

Sign me up!! I would pay to go on this tour!!
the nAyisha
I'm sure they wouldn't mind if we just showed up at their doorstep.
I would too and i live in that city!!
I will be there in October, I'll buy you food and drink and pay you perdiem.
Good idea 👍
It's like a trip with a personal tour guide, except better. So fun and interesting and informative, thank you for all your effort! Great idea! ❤
Thanks Gerđr 😀
I love that you show everything you talk about, awesome quality videos
Thanks 😀
@@YOURWAY2NORWAY you are welcome, thank you, I love to learn about Norway with visual material, so your videos do help
Thanks for facing the annoyance/scorn of fellow Norwegians on tram 12. Great tour.
Oslo may be the only city I have seen where the streets are not clogged with traffic. Fantastic tour of your city. I enjoy it.
Thanks 😀
You talk about the beauty and Mads is obsessed with the expense. Ha ha.
👌😂
Everything is expensive for Mads! HAHAHA
And they complement each other because you need both perspective to bet the full picture
I enjoyed the ride! Great idea, for 21 minutes I was with you on that Tram 🤗🚃❤️ greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
VERY BEAUTIFUL CITY. THANK YOU FOR THE TOUR. 😍🤗😊❤❤❤❤❤
Hello crazy Ronald, hi Mads, love your videos 😀
Mads, "it's boring". Love his positive attitude. 🤣
Ronald looked like a million bucks in this video. Summertime made him flourish! Loved the tramway tour, I even saw a place where I ate lunch on a Sunday and I felt almost like a local. In my city, Genoa, the place to visit is the medieval centre. If you think the streets are narrow in some areas of Oslo, you will have a shock there! It is also very extensive and pretty much a labyrinth, so better go with a local. I would be glad to volunteer.
totally agree, he looked really happy and healthy he looks cute when he gets all excited!
That was the best tram video ride!
So nice love it.beautiful
Excellent to see so much!
Nice
Loved the tour. Thank You!!!!!! #12
Jeg er ikke norsk, men jeg liker Norge så mye at jeg lærer meg språket gjennom internett og håper at jeg kan bo i Oslo noen dag. Takk for videoen. Dere har et utrolig land.
Jeg bruker Duolingo
@@danielm7794 Det er fint. Jeg tror det er et godt kurs
Always fun to watch! Thanks Ron and Mads! ❤️🇳🇴
thank you!
It was so intense and such an extensive guide👏
Beautiful!!!😍💞👌👍
Thank'you
Thank you for a great tour! Oslo is a really beautiful city. Gorgeous!
It is 👌❤
Thank you.for the tour.
Ron, it is Ron, right? Forgive me if I’m wrong! This was an awesome tour of part of your city...I so enjoyed it! I myself would love to visit there. If I do one day, you will have to take me on a tour. I find it a very interesting place..all that I saw from the tram anyway. It’s pretty kewl though, the tram seems to take you everywhere..And yes, the diversity is fantastic. I like diversity, not only in the people but the buildings, homes, the city itself. Gives it character.
We have a street here in my town called Historical 8th St. Huge homes that have been there for 150 yrs or more..The people keep it up so well, nice to see. It’s a great place to walk. Anyway, thanks again! I love what you do. xo
What a great tip. Oslo is a lovely city. I'm an architecture buff. I really enjoy studying a city's historic architecture. It speaks to the artisans of their time. Norwegian Art is beautiful.
What a treat! We came to America from Porsgrunn when I was a little girl. We always spoke Norwegian and now with my parents gone I miss speaking my native language. I am addicted to your videos to hear you speak my dialect. And I enjoy the funny Nordmenn too!
Hei Greta :) Very nice and interesting to hear about your Norwegian American story starting in Porsgrunn. And love your phrase "my dialect"! We are delighted that you are engaged in our videos. Tusen takk Greta. Stor klem fra Ronald og Mads. Skål :):)
And very expensive.. haha! I love the trip
Thanks for the Tram ride to Oslo! I enjoyed the sunshine & views of the city town. It was a fun ride but I did notice one thing "there weren't many cars" but lot of bicycles🚲. It was nice ride without the traffic. Again enjoy Tram ride, sunshine & views🚋😊🚋. We always have construction!!! Oh! I saw a "7 eleven" we use to have lot of them. I'm in America and city traffic is a Nightmare!!! Thanks for sharing, enjoyed the Tram😊🗺
very nice video , enjoy your Beer Ronald .
Thanks 🍻
Always happy to receive notification of a video from you ❤.
Thank-you Ronald and Mads for sharing another piece of your beautiful Norway.
So nice .
wow..very in depth...love it
Nice tour of Oslo on number 12 tram. I will remember that just in case I visit. Thank you.
Thanks. Welcome to Norway Lily :)
Lovely video
Fun!!
"This is Yourway2Norway! All the fun you need!" 🎵🎹🎹🎹🎵 I hope everyone stayed around for the singing at the end!!! Your videos keep getting better and better! ❤️ ❤️ If it seems like an interesting topic for you, could you make a video about Norwegian music?
I've enjoyed the coverage of your charming country, Norway. Yes, I've been to Oslo back in the 80s (later part 1987) with a couple of friends & my 2nd partner. I've recognized some of the places in town, like the popular park with statues. Now, I live in Seattle, Washington state, U.S.A. I've been living here since 1984 former resident of Brooklyn, New York. You really have a fun way of taking your audience in you short trip videos. Like your beautiful city, we have trams, light rail in and out of the city limits of Seattle. Seattle is a very pretty town to visit. One can always take our public transportation, like our tram, light rail, bus system. We also have a couple of towns here populated with Scandinavians (I used to live in one called Ballard). Please keep up your good work in covering Norway and the cities within.
Seattle is on our bucket list! Cool to learn more about the city. Thanks for sharing and engaging with us. We appreciate it. Cheers from Ronald and Mads :):) Welcome back soon
I think you guys should start up your own tour guide business...you’d be the best tour guides ever. Nice video guys...love you both 💖💖
Hei Lori Lyn. Love you right back 😻😻
You are so much fun!!!
Happy Independence Day from California
Oslo is beautiful. TY for the tram ride. In my little town there isn't much to do. We have no public transportation. We live in the mountains and there is a lake. There is hiking in the mountains. If you own horses there are trails to ride. If you own a motorcycle there is the very curvy mountain road called The Snake to ride on. There are a lot of camp grounds if you own a camper/RV. You can rent a boat if you know how to drive/sail one and go out on the lake and cruise or fish if you buy a fishing license and study/read the rules for the fishing season. You can rent a cabin and go hunting if you buy a license and again study the rules for the game seasons.
Thanks for sharing your insider tips with us 👌😀
I'm planning to visit family in Stavanger next year. Based on this video, I will try to convince my cousin to take a trip to Oslo. Tusen takk.
Cool trip! And thank you for showing the Legevakten, I was born there back in 1944.
Love your comments and engagement! And its very interesting that you live in Chile, as a Norwegian. My mamma is from Chile and lives as a pensioner in Norway :) Ronald
You know i love you guys. Thank you!
I just finished the video haha the song that Ronald was singing at the end of the video should be your channel's jingle! "This is YourWay2Norway! All the fun you need!"
LOVE! In Wales getting the bus is a MUCH more social experience. If you were filming and it was clear you weren't locals, you wouldn't get dirty looks - you'd get the whole bus full of people telling you where all the best places were. I also lived in London for a few years and to be honest, there aren't many places/things to do that aren't touristy. You could take a picnic to the top of Primrose Hill, its definitely worth booking a tour of Highgate Cemetery and if you're into food, then Borough Market *is* fairly touristy but it's also a kind of destination for posh Londoners/foodies. I would definitely recommend Speakers Corner at Hyde Park too. The best advice I could give to you and Mads or any tourist - is to travel by bus rather than tube. I mean get the tube once for the "experience" but you see so much more travelling by bus - especially from the top of a double decker even if it does take longer. There's a really cool website - www.tripsavvy.com/london-bus-routes-for-sightseeing-1582177 - that's updated fairly regularly and that lists ordinary bus routes that take you to and/or give you a grand view of some of the most iconic sights. :)
We will take the bus next time👌 Your tube is clausthrophobia. Thanks for the tips 😀
Took a trip to the UK from the USA many years ago and the best decision we made was not having a plan and not relying on a tour guide. We just rented a car, had no idea where we were going and had a fantastic time. Saw the lake country, Stonehenge, Roman baths, drove through Wales, saw amazing castles, old seaside resort Aberystwyth.. My best advice to anyone is to just get in a car and explore.
This was nice.....
Exploring Oslo from only one tram. I am actually enjoying this tram ride with you guys. 😃 Makes me want to go there one day. 🙂
Awesome to hear! Thanks Widisanti. Welcome to Norway 😀
Thank You! That was great!

Really classy filming and editing and super clear with the right microphone, wonderful. Feels like I'm sitting right next to you ! Jules
Great idea to take the tram and bring us with you. Excellent video per usual!
Tusen takk! I appreciate your videos and insider tips, so interesting and informative. We are visiting Norway with a friend this summer. Of course we are super excited about it. Your channel is one of the sources for preparation, tram 12 added on the list🙂
Awesome to hear! Thanks and enjoy your stay 😀
Great pre-covid19 tour!
Thank you Ronald and Mads from Scotland still in lock down. Xx
Yes, that was then... Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and sane! Cheers from Ronald and Mads:):)
"More people with different colors and much more diversity" 😂😂
While I try to avoid very touristy areas, I was enamored with Aker Brygge. Just a wonderful example of successful urban redevelopment.
You are one of the most loveable guys on you tube .
Thanks a lot su a 😻
THANKS!!! SO LOVELY AND USEFUL VIDEO ❤️☺️😘😘❤️
Great filming and nice narrations. Well done guys.!
Thanks :)
Ronald…Mad, What an amazing city there ! It's awesome ! Thanks for the tour guide! Very infomative that packed with rings & whistle.
Hi, Ronald,
You are our hero! Chasing through Oslo in search of the low life that stole Mads phone! It must be all the Tran you've had, in your lifetime.
I hope it's a phone that can be disabled, or better yet, tracked.
That was quite brave of you, not knowing with what type of perpetrator you were chasing.
You two deserve drinks "on the house", some chocolate, and more tax free shopping, or at least a trip to a nearby beach for some relaxation.🏄🏊🚢
It doesn't help much, but know that your subscribers send you guys much love
Hehe, thanks SANDRA 😘
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing a real world perspective. You two are wonderful guides. :)
Thank you for the free tour of Oslo☺️ and big hello👋 from Dubai🇦🇪
Hei and hallo from us Rima Dubai 👋😻
I've visited every spot you showed in this video. I love Oslo and really want to go back soon! I've lived in Oslo for two months. Near Torshov. I've been to Brugata many times and yes, you can feel that there's a bit of a different atmosphere hanging around over there, but I've never felt unsafe. Oslo is a great city!
me too, too many years away can't wait to return ... bit of a worry so many cranes though! It was a nice quiet town a decade ago!! now it's all grown up
I enjoy watching your videos. I was pleasantly surprised at @7:51 on the left side of the tram to see a Peruvian Inca Orchid dog . We live in the US and have the same breed of dog.
This is an awesome vid! Thanks a lot!!
Man. I had no idea I wanted to visit Norway until i found this channel! hahahahahhaaha!!!
Haha, awesome to hear Tanya AD! Love your engagement. Thanks a lot for sharing.🍻🍻 from Ronald & Mads in the team
ive yet to watch a video that makes me want to go to Norway lol
Oh, look - the picnicking family at 18:19 are squeezing food from a tube. I learned about tube food from your channel! :D
Oh, you have sharp eyes and good taste ;) Thanks for sharing and engaging WhiteTiger333. Big hugs from the two of us
When I watch your vids, I don't want it to finish.. I don't know what to do with my life once I have finished watching all your vids!!! 😩😩 You two are a gift to the world! ❤️❤️
Hi Mah Nas 😀 Thanks a lot for your engagement, comments and enthusiasme in our work. It's so motivating for us to read. Lots of love from Ronald and Mads 😻😻
Oh, Mads,
I learned from your facebook page that you've lost your phone, again...reminds me of your Christmas video where you said that happened to you over the Holiday...You need a phone locator! We have a device called "TILE" that attaches to your phone, to enable you and other "Tile" holders to locate it for you. Hopefully, you have something similar in Europe?
In the interim, you should enjoy another cake, as you had in Portugal, to make you feel better!
Anxiously awaiting the latest videos from you and Ronald. The fjords video sounds very interesting!
Oh, and think about purchasing an inflatable boat and hip wader boots for a video, because you're apparently experiencing flooding streets in Oslo. 🌂🏄
But, your balcony flowers appear so healthy!
Stay dry... your subscribers send our love 💖💖💖🚽
Hahaha SANDRA, you are really deep into Mads life and habits. And I love it!!! I was awitness to him loosing his phone this tima. A very checky and sadly very efficient pick pocket - more or less right in front of our eyes. Might be time for both of us to seek an optician ;)
Hi, Mads,
I'm enjoying your solo tours of Norway and Sweden, on FB. The icy sidewalks are so treacherous! The matpakke drop box, dome over Norway and the secret drilling platform are really funny. Where is Ronald? Is he on Syden, or is he working too much?
Tell Joachim that we hope Gyda is finshed and he stays safe.
Looking forward to more videos from you guys this new year. One of these years, international travel will reopen and your subscribers can visit. 💖
It is so charming! Absolutely loved the tram tour. We have trams in the city where I live & tomorrow (Saturday) I’m definitely going for a ride. Thank you, both of you, for this lovely virtual tour. The best way to get the vibe of a place is to avail the public transportation, once again u guys were fun & informative at the same time.
P. S. Ur national library is to die for! 😍😍
Thanks for the ride from Canada
Jeg elsker dere! Dine videoer er veldig lærerikt og morsomt!
Tusen takk April Kurtz 😀
That was great, If you visit Wollongong go on the free bus....
Very smiliar to Munich
That was really awsome.
The Oslo Chamber of Commerce or whatever its equivalent is there should sponsor your channel! Loved the tour via tram. Thank you!
Thanks for your cool words 😀😀
What a beautiful country! I know I have seen Oslo in my dreams, it's so familiar, and beautiful!
Amazing video! I've lived in Bergen during university time and I've been in Oslo countless times. Brings back good memories. Keep up the good work guys. Really enjoy your videos. Cheers from NZ!
🦄 I'm on my way...please wait for me!!! 💜💜💜
Of course we will wait for you Tinkerbell B :):)
I would love 💕 that diverse neighborhood to explore the shops for sure. Great 👍 ride on tram💁
I'm impressed with the fact that there doesn't seem to be a lot of traffic like NYC. It looks so charming!🏣🏣🏣🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴
Nyc is 10 times larger, what did you expect?
A very nice journey in Tram 12 in Oslo. Really enjoy it. Now in winter in BAires 10C and clowdy with a soft damp breeze from the frezzy south. Thank you for sharing
Ring
I loved to ride the Tram with you! Very cool to see other places of Oslo...a real video showing exactly how Oslo is! The video is very informative and nice as always! Mads films very well and is talking cool!!😁 I love the way you talk Ronald!!! Love you guys!😊
Beijinhos Maria, obrigado 😻😻
YOURWAY2NORWAY Aí, ai ... nossa! Amei !!!😁😊Vocês escrevendo em português!!!Obrigada ...
Loved the tour and loved the lack of traffic unlike most Canadian cities!
Awesome!! you should do one at Bergen too!! Thank yoo so much
Thanks, we might do one from Tromsø soon :)
Wonderful tour guide! Thank you both!!!
Thank you so much for showing us Oslo by tram! It's a really very interesting tour of the city and it's even better when it's done by native people!
Also, Mads saying "it's very expensive" every time Ronald talks a bit longer about a specific place is hilarious lol
I've ridden the #12 a lot from the west side to Oslo City mostly... I never went east of that... on my next trip, I'll take it out to the end! Thanks for the tour... hope everyone is safe and well in Oslo!
So subdued today. I loved it, I'm totally relaxed, now! Beautiful and interesting as well🤓
I love the Oslo tram network! It is the best way to explore this beautiful town! Varma hälsningar från gränslandskapet Värmland!
Tusen takk Jesper 😀
Loved this video ❤️ The perfect tour through Oslo. Can’t wait to get back and explore more.
Love your new theme song! You must sing it every time. :) Thanks so very much for showing the diversity of Norway. I love all the cool different places from people and immigrants from around the world. That's where you will get the best food. :)
Excellent tour and description of the city of Oslo. You two can give your subscribers tours to make extra money for yourselves! If you come to St. Louis, I will wear my Matpakke shirt and take you to go up in the Arch. Then we can visit Soulard and South Grand which are similar to your East End areas. You can also tour the Anheuser-Busch brewery and get free beer! Ready???
i lived one and a half year in oslo and thanks to you. you made my experience wonderful.
Thanks a lot for your awesome and extremely motivating story! We are so happy that our content made life in Oslo better. Hope you return one day. Cheers from Ronald and Mads and welcome back :):)
Very interesting video, I quite enjoyed that. Oslo looks like a beautiful city.
Ronald and Mads, thank you for the virtual tour of Oslo, I'm dreaming of when I can travel out of corona-ravaged Texas! Love your little jingle at the end.
🤞🤞🤞
Informative and educational . Thank you fellows. One of your best in depth looks at Oslo. Well done. TRAM #12. GOT IT. Keep up the great work guys!
Thanks for the tour! In answer to your question, hm, southeastern Wisconsin: Racine has the cutest little zoo that few outsiders really know about. Also, okay, a little touristy, but Bristol Renaissance Faire close to Kenosha! Renaissance faires are an American phenomenon and if you've never been, BRF is the best place to start. One of these years we'll get to Oslo, and we'll take your advice and try Tram 12.
Thanks for sharing your story and suggestions from Wisconsin. Welcome to Norway, Oslo and tram 12 :)
