Epic games NEEDS to bring the games store to Steam OS
This was a really helpful video! Maybe not in the way Epic would have liked, but it is certainly informative.

Keep up the good work, and never be greedy businessmen who only think about money.

Can u make drift tuto.? 😢
Yeah, hope they will also improve the horrible performance as well...
Can third parties add their own marketplaces to the Unreal Editor? Considering the dominant position of the Unreal engine in the gaming industry, the EU should look into this!
you can copy paste literally any plugin or content into the editor. So yes. Half of the content I get for my projects is from third party sources or is free.
@@arcase6 What if I want to start a marketplace to compete with the Unreal Engine Marketplace? How do I integrate it into the Unreal Editor like Epic has?
@@johnsolo1701d perhaps look into making your own plugin for unreal
@@johnsolo1701d From a lay-man's standpoint, you would just need a regular online store that sells assets in UE format (which people are doing already through Gumroad, Artstation, etc). Then you would need an app that can detect Unreal Engine projects and copy purchased stuff into their content directory (probably with version check).
The marketplace icon inside UE5 doesn't do anything other than linking to the Unreal Marketplace so it's just a tiny bit of advertising and nothing more. All the importing is done by the Epic launcher and that's a functionality that anyone can copy with their own app.
@@johnsolo1701d I don't think you do as the Unreal Engine marketplace isn't integrated either. The marketplace button in the editor is just a link to the Epic Games Launcher and nothing more.
Wait wtf?
