A big thank you to Marine Lance Corporal Gaven Skyles for sitting down and allowing me to introduce him to one of my favorite metal bands - Rammstein! Gaven has only been in the Marine Corps for a couple years and already has some great stories to share - from the effects of 'rona on boot camp to traveling while stationed at his first duty station (Japan). You should know that this song was released after the illegal invasion of Iraq in 2003.. So the image of the USA was kind of broken in that period

Rick Pat, Gorilla - I just checked out ,,Zeit"... wow. That hit deep. So deep, mellow, in meaning, lyrics and composition. The video gave me goose bumps, slight PTSD, and the entity ,,Death" reminded me of reoccurring nightmare that I had as a young child. And, the face was so eerie... Thanks for mentioning that song! German scientists after ww2 - "We're all living in Amerika!"
Anyone in the military in general i think is exposed to Rammstein (good or bad) within 1-2 years of service. Coming from a former 6 year active duty Army combat vet, but these guys are amazing, so hopefully don't take one song as a sign of them. They are a phenomenal band, they just love to also push the limits.

Well as I have been holding onto tickets for Rammstein for two years now due to the postponements, "Deutschland" is one an amazing video, but the concept is almost 100% opposite to that of "Amerika", but their new single "Zeit" is another video masterpiece but also extremely in depth look at the reality of time. Just shows their versatility and yet still wanting to push boundaries.

Wait...this is the 1st time hearing Rammstein? For an hugely popular (worldwide) band, famous for their live shows...and making incredible music....you managed to stumble upon their *worst* song of 25yrs!

Back in the 90s I was a gig handler for west coast shows on their 1st Americans tour, so that added up my concert #s...but I've still paid money to see them many times over the years (got my tix for L.A. this summer) and they never disappoint! Really hard working guys who deserve their successes!

Shit, this guy is clueless.
Its all about criticising American (unwanted) influence on the rest of the world and America forcing its culture everywhere in expense of the local cultures and customs.
Mr Tuefel hund........ its pronounced 'Rom stein' not 'ram steen'. Why does every American pronounce it this way?
Also this video is a humorous attempt at describing America's corporate culture influence on the entire world...(you were definitely catching the drift)
Wasn't it the germans that gave the United States marines the nickname devil dog??
