Beautiful game. Reminiscent of Ding’s brilliant victory against Ian when his mysterious pawn push ended up creating a mating net after a queen sacrifice. Thanks for the coverage!
was thinking the exact same thing that pawn push several moves earlier to cover the one missing square of checkmate.... beautiful from Ding and beautiful from Magnus
@goose5462 4+ years??? He had one bad year. Magnus hasn't been playing at his peak either, and he's never been unbeatable. Not sure why I'm feeding the troll though.
OMG this is a masterpiece from Magnus Carlsen. How far in the future he had to see to calculate this brilliance and this in the rapid format with mere minutes on the clock. He really is a machine.
For some reason seeing a game in which the chess on the board is reflective and symbolic of the psychological brawl between these two Giants feels so artistically satisfying, feels good to be alive, here, in such a chaotically beautiful place of space and time.
He's truly great he brings the feel and passion, aggression, intellect to chess.Expresses each players character and person to a tee. World reaching stuff all the from South Africa, how can you express such Brilliance. Thank you Agad
I definitely was going to #Suggest this game while I was streaming it live. I'm happy you covered it here (even before I got to suggest it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼). Thanks a lot.
@@tama-4225I think Magnus intuitively saw that taking those two pawns would be bad in less than three moves. After taking, black bishop moves to c6 with a discovered attack, queen takes c5 and bishop takes bishop, leaving white worse. King takes, and now g5 kicks white knight's back, leaving the f3 square available for black's queen to check the white king. Magnus saw this and realised he would lose the initiative and that could lead him towards a draw or a worse position. Because at that point, if the king does not go back to g2 and remain in g1, the knight will check him in f3, thus achieving another discovered attack, but this time making him lose the queen.
Why is Magnus so unstoppable? 😒😒 Other players seem so weak against him that his games have become downright boring. He doesn’t even let his opponents create any incredible positions! He just wins so effortlessly-it’s like a hot knife slicing through butter... or is it butter through a hot knife? Either way, it’s unfairly smooth.
Magnus is always on top while the other fumble around, pretending to be threats, Fizzy the farmer was the most recent, but he is of little relevance now.
Agad it would be cool if you put the computer eval bar 🍸 while your recapping the games. I love that visual it just confirms my mere mortal suspicions about any given position ❤
The scariest part of Magnus is that he randomly shifts from a positional player to a tactician to a defender to an attacker. In one moment you're playing against Capablanca, then Fischer, then Leko, then Tal...
Right up there with classical masters of the past, or beyond - making impossible moves. I don't know if he's playing to the crowd, or just finding hard-to-find moves, but, nice choice of a game. Does it count anything if I got the first two moves of the mating net?
The Spanish Immortal - What Sorcery is This? #3 @Antonio #suggestion Agadmator, please show more videos like this. This game is a true masterpiece and a delight to watch from start to finish!! ThanQ !!!
And what battles they are too (MVL quote)! Along with so many other creative high-level chess players here!! That includes those out there who are just lessor known too, as that's what chess is supposed to be! For me and those like me, it's hard to have a 'friendly game of chess'! That could just be a trick, too! Lol.
Show the game Chess Tour 2024. Where commentators overreact with possible mate in 2. It was not there...they got it wrong. Kh7 avoids the mate...Magnus indeed saw that and play Rd8. I'd like see that game.
That was a bit tougher mate in 2 than the one Magnus missed I guess he finds the tougher ones easier to spot 😅phenomenal player Great game thanks Agadmator
That C5 pawn was the unsung hero of that endgame and Magnus has seen the checkmate pattern 10 moves earlier!!! Indeed nothing short of the incredible as the title suggests.
The video content is very interesting!❤ Just a quick off-topic question: I have a OKX wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (check broom dinosaur stool harsh hurdle morning solve barely umbrella crumble naive),What's the best way to move them to Binance?🤔
This channel is the only place i can come to where people just shut up and show you the game lol
He really has become popular for this reason. Other guys just haven’t figured out good pacing and have the charisma.
Yep, unlike a lot of others he thinks the chess is the star of the show not his own ego.
MVL always take it to Magnus and Magnus always welcomes the fight. Love the battle between these guys
Love it as well. MVL isn't one to chicken out.

LOL, ding, the guy that everyone has been stomping for 4+ years.
Dont compare Magnus to that loser, they are leagues apart.

5:43 it took Magnus exactly a minute out of a 10 minute rapid to win the game and blow our collective minds
How is it going, Agadmator?
Can't complain! But then again, I never do :)
@@agadmator I remember that you complained about your speaker once, not sure though

This Rd5 move and sequence of moves? Unbelievable, even more so when considering that this was a rapid game with very little time
Thanks for explaining all the lines at the end, and recapping that amazing R move followed by the Queen pin.

that rd5 is the most terrifying move ever scene 👍🏼
Damn. GOAT. Period. No Garry, no Fisher, no nobody.

@@praiseshishi2189 I know buddy & I'm saying Garry is the GOAT. Magnus close 2nd. Needs one more world title.

Can you show the 2nd game between Ian and Alireza #suggestion
At 3:12, why not Qxd6? If the bishop moves unmasking rook attack, Qxc5, and queen doesn't seem to be trapped.
I saw this too and also couldn't see a reason it doesn't work. Anybody?

Qxd6 bc6
Not much different
Nh3 +0.33
Qxd6 +0.32

Magnus vs Nepo last game was awesome.

One thing u missed after rook capturing C5 pawn the total crowd in match venue gives load applaud
This game explains why Magnus is the GOAT. Now Nepo will try to beg pardon.

I think Bobby Fischer would really admire Magnus’s style of play nowadays.
Excellent endgame win by magnus Carlsen , my endgame also fine
