Braised fuzhuk (dried bean curd) 焖腐竹

Fuzhuk (dried beancurd) is made out from taking the thin layer of soy bean milk on top and dried it, therefore it's not easy to control the consistency of the thickness. Also the reason why u will find some fuzhuk thicker than others and hence the cooking time may differs. When cooking braised fuzhuk, normally we will buy the one that comes in strips, not sheets. The one in sheets is normally for desserts or sometimes called desserts fuzhuk. Even for strips fuzhuk however, sometime u need to cook it for only 10 minutes, while many needs at least 20-30 mins cooking time. U just have to try and error. #fuzhuk
