My 316i does the same thing pretty much. It stays like this in the revs the whole time you drive it too which is annoying, cause when I am idling / braking towards a roundabout, it forces me to change gear quicker than I would like to be honest..... if you had any answers sure let me know.. i know it wasa few weeks ago you added the video. Vanos is like the german vtec but it works with cams (sprocket)when enough oil pressure is applied

new to this whole bmw thing what do you mean by vanos
there is no gasoline in fuel tank... check fuel gauge !!
so,I fixed this problem.........It was a hole in hose which is from "idle valve" to "knee shaped" hose behind air mass sensor.Chack it
