I thought it was cool when Zac Efron did baywatch and he was on the promotion tour and everyone kept on bringing up his physic for the film he always said don't try it, its horrible it's very much unattainable and unrealistic to be this way. Gained alot of respect for him after that.
The sad fact is people have nothing to gain from being transparent. By keeping it in the realm of "I did this, so you can too" they can continue to sell programs and product and who knows what else. The best we can do is bring the situation to light, like you're doing. Keep up the great work!
Sir, you have the experience. My trainer said it would well 4 to 5 years to make a shredded body eligible for competitive aesthetic bodybuilder tournament. Is that true? Im 90 kgs and 5 foot 8 inches. I'm not a young boy anymore, im overweight 25 year old man.
I saw what intense training looked like on my deployment. Real guys lifting 3+ hours a day and actually eating a balanced diet and they didn't grow or look nearly as big as those stars do in 9 months.
And its always bland chicken. Like spices don't have calories and do have health benefits but these people always love to emphasize that its just bland chicken
@@davidgreenwood6029 Sodium. Typically a womans problem, men when cutting quickly should watch the use of seasonings because they are loaded with sodium, retaining water= less definition. These actors are full of shit though because they cut fat and gain 30lbs of muscle in 6 months. Its not possible without PEDs They are accurate that you shouldnt season ur food when going for looks. Use tons of spiniach with a tiny bit of onions, peppers, and garlic ( natures seasoning) with your chicken and broccoli (experienced natty)
I like how the entire RUclips fitness community decided to boost this channel. Haven’t seen everyone get behind one creator this hard since Will Tennyson.
2 times a day is totally doable depending on the training - for example, running and doing cardio in the morning and gym in the afternoon or evening is what I used to do for a year without taking anything.
Have you ever deployed with the military? I say this because if you're deployed for 6-12 months, there are an insane amount of military members & civilian support staff that completely transform themselves while deployed. Obviously they'll never get "The Rock" big naturally, but they do get much bigger, leaner and stronger. The majority are not using PEDS while they are there. While you may work 7 days a week, it is easy to get in a couple hours of working out a day. Plus, you walk literally everywhere. On top of that, the chowhalls have unlimited food, you just have to make good choices. Additionally, it's surprisingly easy to get 7-9 hrs of sleep a night when you only have to roll out of bed and walk across the compound for work. All the elements you need for natural progress.
I think this is a topic that's not talked about enough. When people think of "unrealistic Hollywood standards" they usually think of thin beautiful women, not jacked huge men, but it's all the same principle to me. Many people, regardless of age, gender, or race, struggle with body image issues and use unhealthy means to try to emulate their favorite celebrity or influencer without realizing just how unattainable that physique is. It's an issue that effects men and women, but it's just not spoken about, so I'm glad that this video exists because we need to address this stuff.
Seriously, thank you for shedding light on this. As a young body builder in high school, I became very depressed and developed severe body dysmorphia because I was training so hard and eating well yet I couldn't attain the results I saw in the movie and in fitness mags. It fucking destroyed me and lead me to dangerous behaviors for years, eventually causing me to quit the sport I was so passionate about. PED users claiming to be natural is extremely damaging to young men and women.
If it makes you feel better, your peak strength wont’ come as a man until you’re in your mid-30s and still maintaining a good workout strength-focus regiment.
Maybe you lack the requisite genetics for a good build if so accept reality and focus on other pursuits regardless of genetics it's always good to stay in shape.

@@Xamry I’m still struggling. It’s a journey and I don’t think there’s any one answer to this problem. I’m trying to take it step by step, one day at a time and be kind to myself.
I was overweight for a long time and was miserable. So i decided to get into shape. I was able to lose a lot of weight and got to the point where i was "shredded" and was hovering around 10 percent body fat. However, i soon realized that maintaining that physique was actually difficult and also made me miserable. When i went out with friends i rarely drank and eat, so pretty much i wasnt having fun with them because i wanted to maintain that physique. I got to the point where i thought it would be easier to just not go at all. This took a toll on me so i decided that enough was enough. I gave up that strict diet and strict workout regime. I still work out and try to eat mostly healthy. But i give myself flexibility when eating junk food and drinking alcohol. Now im still in good shape (not as shredded) and Im around 15-16 percent body fat. So much happier and enjoying my time with my friends. I guess what im saying is that we need to find a balance and cant let yourself go from one extreme to the another.
Unless you eat all 3 meals, 7 days a week, with your friends, maintaining a low bf % is not unreasonable. I sit at 8-12% throughout the year, going to lean bulk and cutting cycles.
That's about where I like to be in the summer. I just enjoy bulking and getting as big and strong as I can. I don't care if I'll never be impressively strong by internet standards. I'm proud of my hard work, amazing gains, and self-discipline. I'm happy that I went from being morbidly obese to being in control of my body and both looking and feeling good.
@@1pk2much Imagine how much stronger you'd be if you'd just eat more and not worry about being sucked down. Even just up to like 15%, which is still solidly lean. I stay within 15-20%. Unless you've been lifting more many years and have a lot of lean muscle, you can't be as lean as you and have impressive strength performance naturally.
Zac Efron also said he does not want to be in the amazing shape again he had in baywatch. He said it was completly unhealthy and he had zero freedom about anything he did.
Im glad he is honest. In reality. There is no need to look like that ever. If you sit at 15% body fat, that is very healthy both physically and mentally.
@@renaldsunset I don't have that problem, it's the opposite actually, if I stop working out I become skinny again and lose most of my muscle and strength, I used to eat like shit regularly and still stay lean lol. Can only get a slight "beer gut," I've tried lol, I just don't store a lot of body fat smh.
A lot of people make steriods and peds some sorta sin. It's not. Almost all athletes take a supplement. It's humanely not possible to retain your natural ability til a certain age. Then you get injured.
This is a great video. That post-Tarzan shot of Skarsgard makes it clear how insane his re-transformation was in Northman. The dude has a decent natural build but he really lacks shoulders. His traps/shoulders were INSANE in Northman. The kind of transformation that should take years with optimal training, not in a short time in your late 30’s.
So many people have this idea that such a physique would take years to achieve. NO! It is only achievable with drugs. Doesn't matter how long a person trains. They can never get steroid-like results unless they use steroids.
Not gonna lie, I got into weightlifting because I wanted to look better and I indeed got amazing results once I learned how to train properly and follow a proper diet. However, as years passed by, I found much more fulfilment in training holistically for real fitness, strength and overall health. If you train to become stronger and fitter by combining weightlifting with running, cycling, swimming, plyometrics, calisthenics, sprinting, yoga or whatever you like, the aesthetics will come by themselves and the reward will be much higher.
I really appreciate this comment. I'm still new to calisthenics and only barely getting full range pull ups done, but my mentality is just to eat well (none of this plain chicken and broccoli shit, broccoli taste like sad) and I'm always super motivated when folks say that it'll pay off. I've already lost the majority of my gut and the bit of thigh fat I had and in the right light I can spot some buns forming beneath my stomach, but I'm trying not to weigh myself and instead going off of measuring my food and just watching my physique and energy levels. The goals im setting for myself are based around leveling up moves like planche push ups, pull ups and handstands, instead of trying to measure my rep counts and arm size but because I'm starting from the bottom, it can feel a little disheartening. Thanks for reminding me that all I need is consistency and knowledge for this journey
@@vanyel_etc8695 Exactly. Knowledge is probably the most time-consuming and confusing part, yet a crucial one. The more you know, the more you dare explore new things to keep challenging yourself and the more effective and efficient your training becomes. This is something I neglected and I'm now correcting. Also being honest with yourself and putting your ego aside is a big one. Sometimes you have to accept that you are just not ready for certain exercises and you need to work slowly and steady towards them. And yeah, eating well is probably the biggest factor when focusing on body composition. That was probably the most exhausting thing about bulking, having to eat all the time! I'd never go back to that. But for burning fat and keeping good energy levels, I think a varied diet with intuitive intake is enough. Sounds to me that you are headed in the right direction!
Look at the top weightlifters, they don't look that ripped, but still super powerful. That's because their diet isn't so restricted where they are weighing everything and some people even have their own nutritionalists
You gotta think about the fact that most of his time was spent traveling from place to place. They didn't have the time to work out like that. Now he has the time and a traveling gym. Lol
Man you guys are completely delusional and on the Rock’s junk so hard. The guy is clearly juiced up to his eyeballs and because he’s an awesome guy you refuse to see it. It doesn’t make him a bad person it’s just something he doesn’t admit. Instead you’re making every insane excuse in the book for why he looks like a science experiment.
This is spot on , it's insane how late in life I realized that certain physiques are not obtainable natural. I have been working out for 4 years and gotten to a point where I'm starting to wonder if I should use something and this is just because the media brainwashed me. I did a very good transformation but because of these issues I will always feel like I didn't do enough. It's very hard to be natural and want to keep on going natural.
When working out naturally you have to know that everyone will peak, understand your body and what it responds to and how, and also remember that genetics will always play a role.
U also need to understand every body is different some people are genetically more gifted then others ,just because you can’t do it doesn’t mean some other people can’t do it too ,genetic play a huge factor when it come where u can physically peak .
As a really thin male, all my life. Thank you this video was helpful. Great message at the end. I can’t tell you how many times I gave up because the results were not what I was expecting
I'm a woman, always had a muscular behind because my mom was a runner and she forced me to run even in winter since I was small. I tried putting on upper body muscle to look more symmetrical and maybe fill in my bra a bit. I am european but only in japan did I find bra size for me. needless to say it didn't work and only until I got fat did I fill my bra. it is frustrating to naturally ad muscle if you're not doing it 24/7 and have the genetics and age for it.
Thank you so much for this video. I'm 53 yrs old and have lifted weights since 21. Everyone in my family was overweight and died early. I worked out and did cardio for decades and have chased many diets but washboard abs have always eluded me. I've seen guys come in the gym and get ripped and cut in no time and they tell me the same stuff in your video. I did it but my ideal physic had always eluded me. Now only in my 50s and seeing all of the health issues my idols have had even early death I now see that most of these guys were doing PEDs. I actually went to my doctor and tried to get on clenbuterol. Your video was the missing piece for me. Before I thought these people were more disciplined than me. But now I see. The guys I see at my gym who come in looking like me but are in competition shape in 3 to6 months are all on some PEDs. I'm a school teacher and at 53 EVERYTHING is harder. I diet but my waste is still thick. I look like Mike Tyson with a gut. But your video is not an excuse to stop trying but a wake up call that with my genetics and age my expectations are extreme. I will still lift heavy diet and do cardio but will not allow myself to feel like a failure because I only lost 8 lbs after a month of ridiculous cardio and training. Good job sir very good job
It could be that the reason you don’t lose fat very quickly is because your metabolism could be too slow. That’s the case for me. I struggled to lose fat and when I saw a nutritionist and had a body composition scan, it turns out that at 27 years old I had a metabolic age of 42. I’m now in the process of fixing my metabolism. Just a thought.
I've waited 53 years (my age) and said F^^k it and used my WDL to purchase what would cost 20 K for anyone else for a years supply of Sustanon, Rimobolin, and Saizen. I'll post before and after 1 year pictures of 250-500 Test, 200-500 Primo a week and 3 IU Pharma HGH daily with a low dose long acting Insulin with the Chicken and Rice etc. Should be interesting.
totally agree "at 53 EVERYTHING is harder". I reckon the key message here is not go chasing celebrity physiques but rather train & eat sustainably and just strive to be the best person you can be at your age :)
This is genuinely eye opening and in my opinion, super important for men in particular to watch. Its so easier to feel bad about the way you look and the progress you make when all you see is hyper jacked guys claiming 'all natural.' After 10 months of work

@@realworkoutsforrealpeople5041 Actually it can be in a lot of cases but it takes about 10 years worth of strict training and eating. The unrealistic part is how quick actors make these transformations and at what age.
So a personal trainer can't watch RUclips? Do you think they are robots? The content of this video (IMO) would be interesting to a personal trainer. Or are you just envious of that person and had to take a shot at them?
Excellent video. Analytical, informative, no bellyaching, very realistic. All these things increase the value of the video. I am 51 years old and have worked out consistently (not fanatically) since I was 17. My advantage is the superhero physique was not a standard when I started, otherwise I would definitely have developed body dysmorphia (I have that perfectionist personality). I cannot swear I wouldn't have used PEDs as a teenager under this kind of societal pressure.
Sounds like you might be gay but unable to admit it even to yourself, only reason you would worry about your body so much? Straight men don't worry coz they know girls don't even care
Aged 12 I began my lifting journey with Hollywood, TV and magazines promoting the ideal physique. 24 years later and remaining a natural lifter I am nowhere near what numerous bodybuilders have achieved in a year claiming to be natural. This is The Best video I have viewed on the subject. Thank you!
This sadly demotivates me a bit. I feel like I will never have the body I want now. I saw some of your videos and if that is what 24 years of working out looks like then I have no damn chance.
@@MrBubbyG_OfficialI do not wish for you to feel discouraged. 5 years ago I drastically changed my diet and eating habits. We are all in our own journeys, living very different lifestyles. Before those videos you saw I was maintaining 74kg. I have lost quite a bit of weight, with my highest health in mind. I do though intend to gain more muscle. Nimai Delgado claims to be natural. Use him as your inspiration for achieving the results you wish to. I am working my way back there.
I trained 1to 1.5 hours a day for 4 days a week working each muscle groups once per week. Heavier and bigger is not the key it's body fat , at 90kgs I could lift more but looked worse because I gained bulk, at 85 kgs I looked great but lifted less so it's getting the right balance in your diet and not worrying too much about magical programs, whenever you do lift just give it your max effort jeep the muscle under constant tension when working it and cut out the sweet shit and all sugary drinks ,other than that you can pretty much eat what you like. I'm in my mid forties now and still the same weight and still lean.
@MrBubbyG sorry to say, but not everyone is built the same. You could look better than him with less work. It's all about genetics. But don't get fooled by some influencers. Most of them take shortcuts. And also, stop caring too much about others. Concentrate on what you can achieve.
I used to be a competitive powerlifter, I trained for 8 years straight and was barely able to get into the national level (under 21 division) once I crossed 22 and got into the "open" division it was ridiculous, I was never gonna touch those guys without "gear". I value my health more than that so now I just lift for fun.
@@burlhorse61 there are 2 sides to that. 1 you can use drugs that evade detection. 2 used drugs during your normal training then cycle off around competitions. I don't personally care if someone what's to use PED's but I'm not going to pretend I can compete against them without also taking PED's I would like to see it more openly talked about and people be allowed to just be honest about what they are doing, since it's clear laws and testing haven't stopped it.
Check out Shaw Lindo, I met a guy when he was skinny, fragile man, in 2 years he became a body builder, was on GQ cover and won multiple competitions. I could not believe that he could come from 160lb to 230lb all muscles
He did workout out, he already said he was joking when he said that. However, I think he was being tongue in cheek & actually saying he didn't workout like *this* He did it healthy and natural
This is why I'm so impressed by Robert Pattinson's push back on 'being in the gym everyday' when it came to filming The Batman. He was great as Batman. The abscence of multiple topless scenes did in no way detract from his character and the film. Amazing film. Amazing superhero portrayal.

@@hodoprime bro you are out of your mind if you think you can build that much lean muscle mass naturally. It is simple NOT possible. Every person has a peak on which you dont grow anymore no matter how hard you train. If you work out for like 5-7 years with a really strict diet, you might be there. The Rock gained more and more over last 20 years, thats not possible without steroids. Also every person (even the most genetically gifted once) have clear strengths and weaknesses. If you are totally natural and you train for so many years, you should see them really clearly. Those super swolen actors and fitness guys you see all over the media are nearly all juiced up, some more some less. You can see it specially on the delts, those huge super round delts are really genetically rare and most of the time a simple idicator for juice. By the way, it is also not possible to build this amount of muscle without gaining fat (or even while loosing fat). Those people gain like 10-20 pound of muscle in such a short time without ever looking a little bloated or fat, there is no genetics involved in here.....
Just getting functionally fruit is a ton of hard work in this more modern, sedentary world. And back breaking labor is just that-nackbreaking. Those laborers don't often take the time to target muscle groups to avoid injury. And the others realize how much work it actually is, and a pill or shot is just so much easier

I remember I once spent eight weeks working out like crazy and eating nothing but chicken, broccoli and rice, waiting for my Captain America transformation to happen. I put on a tiny bit of muscle but for the most part nothing notable happened. That's when I realised the "chicken and broccoli" line wasn't the whole story
@@stripedrajang3571 For the same reason Hulk Hogan said his physique was from praying and vitamins. Because they're public figures who are role models to kids. If all the marvel hero actors just came out and said "I got this physique from mainlining thousands of dollars of illegal drugs directly into my body", that wouldn't go down well with the parents who pay the admission price and buy all the merchandise.
@benghiskahn3673 , well in essence, then, kids, or people in general, should not be lied to. What's so bad about Hulk Hogan saying, "It's possible to get this physique naturally; however, you have to eat whole foods and workout for a few years."?
I'm 100% convinced they have it as part of their contract to always brush off questions about their fitness routine as "chicken and broccoli" with no specifics to protect themselves. @@auroraalpha34 yea I definitely agree, there's no cookie cutter diet for every single person. Some people need more carbs and others work great with low carbs. It's just way too obvious that chicken and broccoli gets used. I mean I get it, those celebs can't go around saying the truth. But don't make the lie seem like the fix all for everyone who falls for it. Chris hemsworth is a good example. Look how huge he was for the first Thor movie, even a little puff, like extra water weight. Correction, EVERYBODY needs to see this. We have become so gullible in society, and so wanting instant recognition and gratification we are almost willing to sell our souls or give our lives or someone else's life to achieve glory in whatever form we perceive it. I have been an avid exerciser since 10 years of age and I have developed a decent, lean and athletic looking body. It is nothing insane but it is a nice body. I have to eat a variety of foods, my energy levels still wain, I still have minor aches and little injuries from time to time but I continue to train, adjusting methods of training through the years. But I don't take any fancy supplements, not even vitamins. We all have a certain level of potential physically develop. My belief is that you work developing fitness till you drop dead. End of story. But it is obvious, these people are getting paid (that is their business, end of story.) to have extra enhancing substances to aid them. I think it has become a problem in that our youth and some adults are brainwashed into thinking that is normal. Even my life of fitness, minus enhancing substances is looked at as being extreme. But I would like for Hollywood to speak of honesty on what we have been seeing for a number of decades actually and very, very recently. I know, that will not happen. Sad...
As a certified personal trainer with 10+ years experience I can confirm people more often than not have wholely unrealistic goals with fitness and I've seen people turn to drugs as the quick fix invariably that fails as you still need to put the work in. Be happy in the skin you're in, be healthy be happy.
I weight-lift several times a week and take Muay Thai at a gym that has produced many competing amateur fighters. My diet is very strict, but I still sit at about 18% body fat. However, my stats at my physicals and PT tests for work (sheriff's office) always come back at peak. At some point, you realize that performance/health and looks don't always go hand in hand. I value the former more, the ability to spend a long, healthy life with my wife and family, and have to battle dysmorphia constantly and remind myself of what's important.
True that. The "perfect" physique is basically just a vanity thing (nothing necessarily wrong with that). You don't need to have a chiseled (insert the appropriate bodypart here) , to be in good physical shape like you said...
Great video. Now at 72 all I'm concerned with is being able to get down on the floor and get back up without help, to be able to walk a couple of miles without getting tired, to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day. During 1970 I joined the military and was a pretty average 5'10'' guy who weighed 125 lbs. Two and a half months later I was 150 and had a neck corded like a football player. Yeap. Wear a four pound steel helment all day every day. When I got home I would lay down on the floor spread eagled and with a dumb bell in each hand bring them up and touch them together and lower them to the floor. I would use 25 pound weights and do two or three sets of a 100 reps. I ended up at 41/28/34. Now at 72 I still have a firm chest and decent legs and over the years I've had a couple of women tell me that they'd never been with a man with such a well developed chest. Shame I didn't do a full body comparable workout but I grew up walking everywhere and my legs were likely as good as they could have been without squats with heavy weights. I could leg press 350 lbs with either leg just from all that walking. I don't think all the body building is that good for you long term but if you keep moving and doing enough physical work you'll likely stick around longer than most or at least be able to do more at a later age.

Back in the day a 2 plate bench press was a huge achievement and it was treated like a special club, like "now you're a strong guy". Only the powerlifters with the huge gut were pushing 3+ plates. Nowadays you just scroll through TikTok and 20 years old casuals are doing 3 plates Shoulder Press and walking around the gym with 5 plates on a bar balanced on their back.
I used to be really fat. I was on the verge of developing serious health conditions. I remember not being able to tie my shoelaces and my sleep suffered as well. My life changed when I finally set my mind to the thinking that anything is possible if you decide so. I took a meal plan to start with. I created it online, on website dietarize, which was super helpful to me at the moment. I didn't have to worry about calories, macros, nutrients and all that stuff... I just focused on walking long distances and exercising after I got on a level where I could do some simple workouts. I hope my story will inspire you to do the same. To change your body you must first change your mind!!
I'm sorta on the same boat. You can say my family's hereditary line is cursed with rampant diabetes and possibly other diseases that hit them worse past 40. Also I'm an individual that packs mass easy on big calorie intake. I have constantly fought to keep my weight in check so the only path for me besides being constantly active is doing the only active thing I like the past decade which was weight lifting. I don't do it primarily for looks (aesthetics is probably my 3rd or 5th reason). Its my only way out knowing that health wise will get rougher for me without accounting other world factors like stress and anxiety as I get older.

I’ve been working out for 11 years as of writing this comment and have put on some good muscle in that time. Lots of guys ask me how I do it, saying they want a body “like mine” and I tell them they need to lift heavy to the point of only 2-3 reps, and when they can do 4 they should increase the weight. Most respond saying how they want to do 8-12 reps and “can’t” lift more weight, but after I convince them to try they lift it easily. This guy posted before and after pictures as if those transformations are highly unlikely without PEDs, but the problem for alot of people who work out and don’t see the results they want is they don’t train the right way, push themselves enough and have the proper diet. And of course realize the results take months to years to achieve and won’t happen overnight. If people do these things they can get in better shape than they ever dreamed of.
I’m a retired vet and whenever there was downtime we would workout like animals. We ate well balanced nutritional foods. I got into the greatest shape of my life. I looked awesome but not like these stars. I weighed about 185 lbs and just shredded. No sugars or excess calories, plenty of water and proper sleep. Fast forward to being a personal trainer after retirement and at the age of 50, my physique is still excellent. I take protein shakes and creatine, that’s all. Even with creatine, I cycle every other year to give my body a break. I intend on living to a ripe old age and being healthy all the way.
maybe he does 3 workouts of 2 hours a day, morning, afternoon and night, or 2 of 3 hours, i mean, if he doesn't have anything else to worry about, he has the time, tho the body recovery rate after 30yo is way longer, so it would be impossible for him to train that much at his age.
This is applicable for fitness youtubers, instagram influencers as well. The entire gymshark page sells the idea of a body which in all honesty cannot be achieved without using PEDs
That's how you know it's just a bs codeword that Hollywood tells all its actors to say when asked how they did it. It's like the standard protocol. Watch, now that people are catching on, they're gonna change it. Gonna be something like "avocados, eggs, and kale"
@Vic Birth Yup. We have so much more knowledge about how to be healthy and how to exercise effectively. We also have a lot more options for nutrition and fitness.
@Vic Birth literature seem to indicate that free weight exercises are still the most effective tool for muscle growth, so I wouldn't say that machines contributed that much, squat rack invention probably done way more, and that happened in 30s. Considering that most of videos and articles seem to indicate that actors do crazy exercise programs and are eating horrible nutrient deficient diets(chicken rice and broccoli, yeah, right..), and considering that they are, you know, not a professional athletes, they really shouldn't look much more impressive than those 50s guys. Yet they do. All of them, consistently.
@Vic Birth That is true, and I totally agree that you definitely can do more than in 50s, with better exercise programming and nutrition, there is no question about it. But that means that they are lying about their programming and nutrition too, not just PED use. A lot of them claiming "chicken rice and broccoli" which is not proper balanced nutrition, you won't grow on that (your body needs fats to make hormones, at very least). And showing exercise programs that consist of some bullshit box jumps or whatever, instead of compound movements. And regular ass dudes take steroids too, so that is not much of indication. That pandora's box is open now and you can honestly no longer tell how much of someones progress is genetics, exercise and nutrition and how much is PEDs.. Problem is - Hollywood is not doing a great job on either side of that, hiding obvious PED use as well as promoting bad nutrition and iffy programs.
@Vic Birth yeah I'm sure the ancient Spartans looked terrible compared to people now. This "modern nutrition and knowledge" shitck is just goofy. Fitness isn't complicated and it's modern arrogance thinking that we've figured some special thing that countless civilizations throughout the years haven't already figured out before us. Hell, modern scientists still can't explain how people who didn't even have electricity could figure out insanely accurate star maps and architectural skills. They would have had different explanations but the results and overall understanding would have been the same. Aztecs probably thought the gods were responsible for gains while Norsemen figured they activated ice giant blood inside them but the only big difference between peole now and then is technology, namely peds.

Your videos should be the first thing people watch when they are thinking about beginning a fitness program. You really put things in perspective for your viewers. Great work.
I worked with 3 young men who hit the gym or exercised daily for a few years. They were perfectly versed in routines, technique and how to push it. They also had the most bland chicken, rice and veggie diets, supplements, no sugars or alcohol, on point sleeping rhythms. .. And looked _good but no-where close_ to movie actors.
Great video, I'm 60 still bench 300lb. I've always told my son, be satisfied, there will always be someone bigger, stronger and faster. Work with what the good Lord gave you.
All well and good if what the "Lord" gave you was actually decent in the first place. If your a young man whose naturally skinny and cursed with poor muscle building genetics well staying away from the juice is going to be tough when he works 5 times as hard yet gets 1/5 the results of his pals at the gym especially when the typical woman thinks wolverine is a "just average" physique.
i've always been on the smaller side, which is hard when you see strength as masculine. However, i'm fast and a good climber and that's what I focus on. Working with what the good Lord gave me.
Great to see you Simon! You two are a huge help to the guys like me, the average guy that never knew the celebrities and models had "special" help to get these bodies. Thanks again for all the info guys!
I enjoy the production quality and smooth transitions. Balanced approach for the most part and you identified a majority of the critical points and the cascading effects. Keep up the good work.
True, and given that he also was a gymnast, the callisthenics part is actual accurate. You can actually get decently big without roid. You can get to Harish Patel's body naturally, you'd just take triple the time he took. Bodybuilders use roids to get to unnatural sizes, Actors use it to get to a decent size quickly.
@@lennonpaiva5684 not true!! They take steroids because there is no way to get to that shape EVER, no matter how long you train! It’s more than a shortcut, it’s necessary. Please understand that you can take a little bit (for instance 250 mg per week) and put on let’s say 5/10 kg or much more (beyond one gram per week) and put on 30 kg, but regardless...you’re going beyond your natural limits
@@pierluigisonsini9388 I disagree. I have met too many "gym" bros who take it for the summer just to gain muscle quickly. Most of their physiques are shit and look natural. You can definitely get a natural physique while on steroids. A lot of athletes use them and have natural physiques for instance, like runners, soccer players, etc You will only make gains based on your training, period. You cannot achieve an unnatural physique without training, no matter how much gear you take Lastly, their physiques ARE NOT impressive. What is impressively is them putting 40lbs in 8 weeks. Michael B Jordan or Christian Bale's physique is perfectly achievable naturally
@@lennonpaiva5684 I agree with you that the two guys you mentioned don’t have an impressive body and can be achieved naturally, provided that you have good genetics and put all the effort into it, but that’s about it...it’s the human limit. However, when we talk about Hugh Jackman and the Rock, there’s no way we can do that. No one can, naturally, they are muscular and ripped, you must use steroids. Also nobody can put on 30 kg of muscles, even if you have a lifetime available. You can gain 12 kg of muscles plus 18 kg of fat and there you have it, 30 kg, but the results won’t be the same, aesthetically it’ll be much worse.

Precisely

Nah 2 times a day ain't that hard, its pretty normal for any above average athlete

Makes me happy that you see it that way.
Life is to short to look perfect.
Yeah and according to medicine, 15% is the ideal healthy body fat level for a male. 20% for a female.
Zac Efron also said he does not want to be in the amazing shape again he had in baywatch. He said it was completly unhealthy and he had zero freedom about anything he did.
Because staying lean is a hell of a job. I tried it myself and I was often sad as l could only consume certain foods.

Juice is real
Sure does sound like a nice challenge for the body

I did a very good transformation but because of these issues I will always feel like I didn't do enough. It's very hard to be natural and want to keep on going natural.
When working out naturally you have to know that everyone will peak, understand your body and what it responds to and how, and also remember that genetics will always play a role.
U also need to understand every body is different some people are genetically more gifted then others ,just because you can’t do it doesn’t mean some other people can’t do it too ,genetic play a huge factor when it come where u can physically peak .

Same. It drives me crazy to have to explain again and again and AGAIN that this type of physique is not achieved naturally. It's mindboggling.
So we're all on board here. It's steroids. I mean it's simple.

Use him as your inspiration for achieving the results you wish to. I am working my way back there.
I trained 1to 1.5 hours a day for 4 days a week working each muscle groups once per week. I trained hard damn hard ,I'm 5ft 10 and got to about 85 kgs with my body fat down to 5% and I looked phenomenal ,I was about 23 years old then and had gone from being a malnourished 64kg welterweight boxer to 85 kgs lean, when I see pictures now I realize that I was I great shape but at the time I remember always wanting to get heavier.
@@rneoman Thank you for you perspective Richard, and well done on your achievements.

I used to be a competitive powerlifter, I trained for 8 years straight and was barely able to get into the national level (under 21 division) once I crossed 22 and got into the "open" division it was ridiculous, I was never gonna touch those guys without "gear". The Rock has been juicing for years, but never admitted it. You don't look like him at 50 without being on the sauce.
What? You don't look like him ever, period, despite the age. It's not naturally obtainable to be 250 lean at 6 ft 4 no matter the age.
You can build muscle slowly over 30 years. I think it’s doable. You can’t build it in a few weeks/months, especially after the beginner gains.
@@hodoprime your testosterone starts dropping after 30
There is no way your looking like that in your 40s without test inject
It don’t matter how long you trained...
From my own experience
The rock actually did admit he was on steroids
This is really good and well presented. I see so many people carrying around false ideas about super physique
The worst part about getting jacked is when you realize no one really cares. Workout to be functionally fit and enjoy life.
Just getting functionally fruit is a ton of hard work in this more modern, sedentary world. And back breaking labor is just that-nackbreaking. Those laborers don't often take the time to target muscle groups to avoid injury. And the others realize how much work it actually is, and a pill or shot is just so much easier
eh, having been both obese and jacked in my life... it’s a night and day difference how people treat you. people are just friendlier to you when you’re in shape. it’s messed up.
if you ever think of working out to attract the opposite sex don't bother, money is much more effective
probably only for you, for confident people it's not the worst part. worst part is to maintain a diet which is hard
If someone wants to get jacked, should do it for himself, not for others. When you do it for others and their opinions, is when it sucks. Just like everything else.
Imagine if these guys published their real training programs in detail, all included. PED dosage, nutrition, side-effects, doctor's advice, etc., along with post-program results. That would be helpful.

@@auroraalpha34 yea I definitely agree, there's no cookie cutter diet for every single person. Some people need more carbs and others work great with low carbs. It's just way too obvious that chicken and broccoli gets used. I usually see a clear difference for when someone talks about their routines they went through and usually they mention just how much variety of foods they have to eat compared to the ones who pause for moment cus they have to remember a contract guidelines.
Amen brother
I'm sure you look amazing my dude, keep it up man :)

Moral of the story: It's not always about the looks, it's about your mental health, your strength and your life
this
I’ve been working out for 11 years as of writing this comment and have put on some good muscle in that time.
Dude, there's no stopping you.
I was like that for a while too. 3x workouts - creatine and clean diet 5/7 days. My body at 31 has given me dysmorphophia tho in the ensuing years

This is applicable for fitness youtubers, instagram influencers as well. The entire gymshark page sells the idea of a body which in all honesty cannot be achieved without using PEDs
I mean, if you talk about about non-syringed bodies then it's achievable without PED.
Chicken, rice, broccoli,... chicken rice broccoli... they laughing themselves when they said that 😀
What if thats like a huge inside joke in Hollywood and Chicken, Rice and Broccoli is just somehow codeword for roids.
@@andofb plot twist
That's how you know it's just a bs codeword that Hollywood tells all its actors to say when asked how they did it. It's like the standard protocol.
Watch, now that people are catching on, they're gonna change it. Gonna be something like "avocados, eggs, and kale"
that sounds like what Asians eat at home. I call this BS
I dont know whats wrong with it. It zas protein fat carbs and fiber. Basically every makro.
Great videos dude, I hope you want to continue with this amazing quality! A channel like this in the fitness industry was needed 🙏
Is the a sales video for PEDS!?! Cuz after watching the first 7min I’m sold! Let’s go!!!!
The 1950's comparison made my eyes open wide, drastically different.
This guy's editing harder than last time
It's so amazingly good. His voice the visuals, how is this guy not a netflix employee
Josh Brett you got on Greg Doucett and More Plates More Dates
I know! Crazy🤯😁
@Round 1 hey! Thankyou very much! James Jani is one of the main people who inspired me to make the channel, what he is doing is great, I also recommend jake Tran if you wanted similar content🙂👌

Exactly how the hell did he do that? This channel has only been around for like 4 months.
@@SpaceMissile I was 5'8", but fast and had a 43 inch jump. Some how all things work out the way the LORD intended.
These are good videos, Josh. I will 100% in the future likely make a joke video about this 😂. Top work!
Simon Miller, Greg, and Derek? You've done it Josh.
Hahaha can't wait😂 thankyou very much Simon 🙂
Look at this bald a-hole!!! Do you think that they should've showed Gerald the fitness penguin's transformation?
Great to see you Simon! You two are a huge help to the guys like me, the average guy that never knew the celebrities and models had "special" help to get these bodies. Thanks again for all the info guys!
Hey everyone look! It’s the Bald A-Hole
The best video i watched for my whole fitness research thank you for this man
Man's out here producing mini Netflix docs for free, good to see your channel blowing up
I enjoy the production quality and smooth transitions. Balanced approach for the most part and you identified a majority of the critical points and the cascading effects. Keep up the good work.
Tom Holland has the most NATURAL-looking physique imo. S/O to him, he‘s a true calisthenics athlete!
A lot of athletes use them and have natural physiques for instance, like runners, soccer players, etc
You will only make gains based on your training, period. You cannot achieve an unnatural physique without training, no matter how much gear you take
Lastly, their physiques ARE NOT impressive.
