I've noticed that audiences (mainly White) are only really comfortable laughing at White/Black comedians. They don't know what to do when the person is Asian, South Asian, Hispanic etc... It's really lame. I think it plays into the (mistaken) belief that America is a biracial country, made for and by Whites and Blacks. Nope, sorry! The rest of us are here to stay.

That was really awkward to watch. Ali clearly cared more to talk about Daniel while Ellen insisted on details about the white co-star instead. Also I felt as though Ellen couldn’t care less about what Ali had to say. Fakest laughs I’ve ever seen and heard. I’ve noticed lately that unless the guest is some big shot celebrity and/or if they are actual good friends with Ellen, she becomes disinterested and impatient with the interview and it’s extremely obvious in her body language and facial expressions.
I feel this more and more lately... Jokes on foreign accents, lukewarm welcome... Ali is hilarious.

I think I'll watch them. I don't know her too well as I live in the U.K. But I think she'd do well here as she has a kind of self-deprecating sense of humour. It seems the audience and Ellen didn't get her.

Always Be My Maybe is a great movie , the soundtrack is awesome ! The soundtrack gave me nostalgia , as an 80’s baby it really took me back...I love Ali’s humor 💕.
