@@strayedarticle2838 sounds like sarcasm but it probably is better that way. At least insurance companies have to compete against each other and are subject to business laws and audits. But I think it's fair to say the current systems are pretty bad if not an actual racket.
I feel like Bernie talks a good game and I really like what he says in these interviews, but he doesn't seem to follow through on it. For example, why does he remain part of a party that does the bidding of big pharma and other big business (eg. recent Boeing)
If Bernie was a clever politician, he' d never have said openly "I'm a Socialist." Not in the craddle of Corporate control over the government. He could call himself a "workman's advocate" and tried a third party. Both times in '16 and '20, I had vowed to vote for him, if he took well ahead. Here we are 8 years after, in the same swamp. A country don' t have to be socialist to have the Health care system of those 'advanced' he mentioned. I can't believe that still people believe the current version of Dems is a socialistic one. They are Corporate puppets. On the other hand, Republicans are the same pasta. It is the same old song
Sometimes I feel like some people prefer to be lied to than be told the truth. Part of Bernie’s struggle is that he was transparent about policy. He explained how Medicare for all would work. Opponents seized on how much it would cost and ignored how much it would save Americans. I think with the way Americans are struggling Bernie would have broad appeal, but you’re right he isn’t a clever politician.

Kids don’t be confused America is amazing. The reason we don’t have healthcare like those other countries is because they are tiny countries with not even half the population of ours
We have a right to life, how can some live if they don’t have access to life saving surgery? Or if they do get access become enslaved by debt that they will never be able to pay off? People have the right in the pursuit of happiness, but how can they peruse that if they become blind due to cataracts, but can’t afford cataract surgery? You shouldn’t be billed for surgery, just like you don’t get billed when you call the cops or firefighters. Or do you think those should be privatized as well?
@greasher926 "right to life" means someone can't come take your life. Not that someone has to come make your life better or longer, bc that infringes on that other person who has come do those things. Nothing is free, if you aren't paying for it then it is being taken from someone else (ie violating their actual rights). This is why you can't have a right to someone else's stuff
@@Marty234 it’s obviously not free, it’s covered by taxes, you’re going to pay them on one way or another, might as well put them to good use than wasting it on never ending wars. Also do you not believe in having a public police and fire fighting force? Every time you call 911 you are also “infringing” on someone’s rights. You are forcing somebody to pick up that phone and drive over to you, all paid by tax dollars. Also every time you drive on the road, that is all being subsidized by tax dollars. Perhaps it’s a semantics issue, don’t call it a “right”, fine, but it’s a public service that should be provided, at least at a very basic level.

Robbie hit the nail on the head. We can agree on the problems facing us as Americans, it’s the solutions we disagree on. And the lefts solution seems to be more government.
I watched something yesterday about the situation in the UK right now. The overall message was that the working class people there, and this is regardless of which party they’ve voted for, have been voting for over 20 years to reduce immigration. Now whether you agree with that belief or not, a huge chunk of the UK’s populace has been voting for it and it has been completely ignored. These people are working and living as law abiding citizens, and then voting within the parameters of a system that now ignores them and their needs/wants. All I could think was how what is happening there is pretty much a big warning for what could happen here. I feel like the working people of this country, regardless of whether they vote Democrat or Republican, are also being ignored. We have wanted better healthcare. We have wanted better wages that adjust to the wild inflation we’ve seen over recent decades. We want money to be used here to fix things in this nation rather than being sent frivolously overseas to aid in wars we don’t want in the first place. And yet we’re ignored. But you know who isn’t ignored? You know who gets their way every single time regardless of which party is running the show? Big corporations do. Every single time. Much like the situation in the UK, I just don’t see how it’s sustainable for a government to exist when they couldn’t care less what their people want. I feel and perhaps fear that something big is coming around the corner. I hope it can be a major game changer that comes about peacefully. But really who knows.
Purely anecdotal, but when I lived in Japan, 4.5% of my monthly salary went to the National health fund. When I had to go to hospital to have a mole removed and biopsied, I paid the equivalent of $14. 00
Take corporate insurance out of the game and make everyone pay private insurance (like car insurance). Make all the insurance companies compete and get the government out of it.

@@shan6736 no, its the same thing. Teachers are not forced to teach because _nobody has the right to their labor_ . They are only there because they want to be. Otherwise it would be servitude. What about dentists, plumbers or pilots? Do we have the _right_ to fillings, running water or flights? It's the same for doctors and teachers. Labor can never be made compulsory. That would be North Korea.
Doctors are well paid. It's a silly argument. If people want to fund something in common, it can become a right. It works the same with insurance. The only difference is it's not universal. Sanders is just wrong. He probably means a right as opposed to a privilege but a privilege is also a right, it's just not universal or equal.
Nope. 1- You do not have the right to someone elses labor. If you did, it's called servitude. 2-Healthcare outcomes cannot be guaranteed and therefore cannot be a right. You can't tell someone they have the right to xyz if the results may vary.
Healthcare can’t be a human right because it requires other people’s labor to provide it. So you can’t create a right to healthcare without violating another persons right to freedom.

It used to be a lot better, but austerity measures (and intent) from Conservative governments have undermined it. At the end of the day you won't go broke when you do receive care.
@@ogChaakamuch better to have a middle man, like the insurance industry, between you and your doctor, taking their cut.
@@strayedarticle2838 sounds like sarcasm but it probably is better that way. At least insurance companies have to compete against each other and are subject to business laws and audits. They should also be holding the service (the hospital) to account when they pay out.
To be totally honest, I haven't thought about this deeply.
Because he is a fraud. Always was…
He got his book deal and made millions
If Bernie was a clever politician, he' d never have said openly "I'm a Socialist." Not in the craddle of Corporate control over the government. He could call himself a "workman's advocate" and tried a third party. Both times
in '16 and '20, I had vowed to vote for him, if he took well ahead.
And a socialist government still has free enterprise and business. Just pay your taxes,
Sometimes I feel like some people prefer to be lied to than be told the truth.
If Bernie had some balls he would endorse RFK
Am also sick of Bernie…talking bout how bad things are HE IS NOT A FIGHTER…so am over Bernie
THE PEOPLE HAVE TO RISE UP
Bernie the guy who created a anti establishment movement large enough to win the democratic nomination isn’t a fighter yeah ok
Hypocracy is Epic. Work in Health Care see the Neglect first hand daily. The Manner in which the Government treats the Elderly of this Country is 3rd World type. Veterans as well. RFK has covered this issue, and really wants to make Immediate change. The 2 Party Agenda wont touch the issues that Americans think about, and hold Dear. RFK has,and Will. RFK in 2024. 😊
Theo is blessing to all of us. Such a sweet dude
They cheated, but they gave me another beachfront house and I sold my followers down the river. Twice
Kids don’t be confused America is amazing. The reason we don’t have healthcare like those other countries is because they are tiny countries with not even half the population of ours
American healthcare is not amazing. We spend double the amount of other wealthy countries and we get poorer outcomes. Not rocket science
to see a young person talk to an older politician and haver such a polite and gentle conversation gives u happiness and energy
congrats to both!!!!
Bernie says a lot but never stands up for what he says. He falls in line every time.
Exactly
Because he is a fraud. Always was…
EXACTLY! Have an upvote.
Because he's just a fraud and dem establishment shill.
Bernie is a socialist/communist Millionaire with multiple homes.
Former Bernie Bro here - In no way shape or form will I EVER vote for Kamala and any establishment candidate.... NEVER!
You missed Bernie's initial underwhelming response about Kamala. "Well she's what we've got..." 😂
Why is Bernie always an apologist for the DNC though?
Because he loves the big houses and the money
You can't have a "right" to someone else's stuff
All real rights are to be left alone (speech, search/seizure, self defense/bearing arms, etc)
@@greasher926Exactly. Police. Firefighters. Teachers. Doctors... should be public servants as well. Those who don't love doctoring can drop out.
I can’t stand Jessica now that she’s shilling for the Dem party. Sorry Rising , tuning out.
Somebody tell Theo it's time to revolt
Really too bad when they mentioned what Bernie had to say about Kamala and didn't mention the 1st bit.
Theo: What do you think of Kamala.
Bernie: She's who we have.
Bernie is far from fighting establishment . He’s still being too careful and pandering
He still sides with the very people who cheated him
A great video came out yesterday about what happened to Bernie. It's short and it's a real eye opener.
It's called THE BIG CHEAT.
it was short, real short.
Yep on Nicole's channel, now there is a brilliant woman with courage.
Beach house Bernie
@@90swerethebest10Her mother's house was willed to her.
Ever seen it? Nothing special.
Repubs are a threat to democracy but vote for the dems who arent using democracy at all in their primary lol
Bernie was the first candidate I ever donated to. Now, im voting for Trump. My, how the turntables turn....
That’s wild you went from a grassroots movement to support the American worker, to supporting campaign who’s sole goal is to increase corporate power and is funded by the wealthiest people in the country
@Baseball427 See, funny thing is, I can't tell which party you're criticizing. All i know is my quality of life is worse now than it was a few years ago, and the current state of the country is appalling. But to your point, imagine how disillusioned I have to be with democrats to make that swing. I'm tired of being peed on while being told it's raining. I know what to expect from both these candidates, and I despise one less. It's that simple.
@Baseball427 Trump, Biden and now Harris all have billionaire donors.
@@frankiek2691 I'm not saying Democrats are any better in most cases they are just as corrupt as the Republicans what I'm commenting on is your switch in support for a specific candidate, who isn't corrupt and has always represented the people in Bernie Sanders to another, who is very much corrupt and part of the broken system that's failed us.

Robbie hit the nail on the head. We can agree on the problems facing us as Americans, it’s the solutions we disagree on. And the lefts solution seems to be more government.
I fell for Bernie twice. No more !! He’s sheep herding for the establishment.
I love some Theo Vonn. That dude is a gift.
Bernie’s a sellout
says the normie that cant put a pfp on their own account
Infinite timelines exist where Debbie Wasserman Schultz stopped being a Karen and we exist in none of them.
Bernie says debating Harris , "She's tough" ,BS , ask Tulsi Gabbard , "piece of cake ". He bends to what what is good for him.
No one is owed an apartment in a “big city”

Purely anecdotal, but when I lived in Japan, 4.5% of my monthly salary went to the National health fund. When I had to go to hospital to have a mole removed and biopsied, I paid the equivalent of $14. 00
I went to language school for 6 months and my friend at the school had a stomach scope and it was $80 lol
@@mattice9083I pay that to just get results of tests I’ve already taken 😂
How nasty was that mole that you went to the hospital?
@@jackiechilds8047 not very bad. It itched constantly which is why I went to hospital.
Bernie Sanders 2016 "Billionaires and Millionaires" 2020 "Billionaires" says it all. Bernie's net worth $3 Million.
We could tax only multi billionaires and still afford government programs he advocates. The super wealthy are basically the problem
finally a good segment of rising, yep Americans are done
Why am i not surprised she worked on the Bernie campaign?
Take corporate insurance out of the game and make everyone pay private insurance (like car insurance). Make all the insurance companies compete and get the government out of it.
Health insurance is private?
if bernie had taken jill stein's offer to run on the green ticket in 2016 this country and planet would be on an entirely different trajectory. biggest political disappointment of my life.
That truly would have been an interesting experiment. I wish he had too. The man still punched well above his weight in both primaries in an impossible environment.
Bernie's still in the game, so he's just playing it with that sort of "endorsement"
I bought into the Bernie campaign, this 72 year old is SO OVER HIM!
Healthcare is not a right and can never be. Nobody has the right to someone else's labor.
So should we take public schools away for the same reason? Have private schools only for the rich? Caste societies?
Bernie you bent the knee and have yet to redeem yourself.
Theo's best interview.
The right to keep and bear arms is actually a human right by Bernie's logic the goverment should give out guns for free
It pisses everyone off that theo von, who is an amazing person, gets more out of a candidate that the actual news
I love that guy. When I certain Yiddish words my brain I immediately picture Bernie. Like "Tukis"
We can have “free” healthcare like Europe if the 50/% who pay no federal taxes pay 15-20% like European citizens do.
Healthcare can’t be a human right because it requires other people’s labor to provide it. So you can’t create a right to healthcare without violating another persons right to freedom.
She's tough in a debate....what??!! 😂😂😂
My grandmother lived to 100 and she was sharp as ever until 99 1/2. Age is just a number and to me, Biden age is 159
I supported him in 2016. It’s a shame what he has become. Bernie your time is over. You showed your true colors. Just stop at this point.
I lived in Alberta and I had to pay $1000 per yr for my healthcare. It isnt free. They add a tax in some provencecs to cover healthcare BUT they do not have good care. There was a six month wait to get cancer treatment in the US cuz they dont have the equipment to care for cancer patients. People die waiting for thier treatment so no thank you.
