Spire Motorsports is a team that has quietly been building themselves up into a legit team, using the large amount of cup team shutdowns in 2020-2021 to their advantage and are now running three full time cars by next season. In terms of horsepower theyre still well off, but Spire is definitely a successful team in the making

Childress: Brian Scott (41 Pts+ index) and Steve Park (53) were worse than Blaney (58).
Roush: Good old Kevin Lepage (65) was worse than Dallenbach (68).
Spire: Reed Sorenson (14) is the worst among qualified drivers (Houff was a 17 in only 13 races).
Rick Ware: B.J. McLeod (17) was statistically worse than Cody Ware (25), but Cody Ware did it in more than double the races (and got himself suspended from the sport), so he makes sense as the pick.
Kaulig: Gragson (39) was indeed worse than Justin Haley (79), though Haley was worst among 15+ race qualifiers.
Wood Bros: Bill Elliott (43), of all drivers, was worse than Schrader (48). Elliott was in his 50s... but then again, so was Schrader.
23XI: Ty Gibbs (56) was WAY worse than Bubba Wallace (101). Gibbs has a lot fewer starts, but he snuck in under the 15-race minimum.

Penske has also had a fair share of bad drivers when it comes to their Indycar team in addition to NASCAR. However the worst one has to be Andre Ribero who only raced one season with Penske (1998) & he was awful as he only finished in the Top 10 three times, his highest finish was 7th at Vancouver & finished 22nd in the points that year which is totally unacceptable at a team like Penske. Then with Haas, it seems like every driver with their F1 team with the exceptions of Kevin Magnussen & Romain Grosjean have been terrible, especially Nikita Mazepin who easily has to be the worst driver to have entered F1 in the past 30 years.
