Heya Beth. Great job! I used this method to change my oil. I didn't have a hydraulic jack but I was able to use a standard car jack. Instead of putting the standard car jack in the middle was able to lift both sides up using the frame bar under near where you placed the jackstands and put a jackstand there. And finally used the car jack to level the backend using the jackpoint at the rear. You don't see it in the video but when you get under there to look, you'll see what looks like metal ball joint, its the only solid place under there.

Nice job. I found some car ramps that I use for the Spyder. It's a little sketchy getting up there, but it's enough height for an oil change.
I was afraid to use car ramps, but jacking the bike up then sliding the car ramps under the tires, might be a good idea. ps Love your new spyder!!
@@RykerRydes It took me a few times to get it up the ramps, but if you want to use the ramps as stands that would work to. Thank you, I've put alot of work into the Spyder the past year.

You should have no problem seeing over. But try to buy from Amazon so, if you don’t love it you can return it. Did you see my windshield video?

Great teamwork!! Can't wait to get my bike when things get back to "normal". Question... i wanted to buy gloves, jacket and helmet while I wait but, some friends say to purchase the bike first. What do you say?
That’s a tough question. Do you want to match your jacket to the bike? Also, the dealership sometimes offers money ($250) towards stiff. Or a heavy discount. Finding the perfect protective gear is fun, so take your time and enjoy the process.

Good question! I just eyeballed it. You could always use a level to check.

Hi Beth I was watching top ten things that you might know about your Riker. I was wondering if you know that your brake lever can be adjusted? You can push up on the brake side peg and then pull out the brake and adjust it higher or lower.
I did know that, but I am surprised I didn’t mention it. I will in my part 2 of 10 things you “still” may not know about your Ryker! Thanks for letting me know!!

Do you think there is an advantage to using jack stands instead of ramps for raising the front?
Hi Mike! I don’t think there is an advantage to using the jack over ramps. It is what ever you feel comfortable with. I happen to have a jack, so that’s what I used. Lol

Ryker Rydes Soon hopefully. I have one almost ready. But my MS has flaired up and I’m not very well. Which is a pain in the ass cos the weather’s been glorious lol. Hi Lee! I like the look of my windshield, just fits perfectly. When I am speeding down the highway, sometimes I will duck down low. So I guess a little taller would be nice for high speed racing lol
Giovanna M thanks for your input. I’ve got a Madstad screen on mine but sometimes think it looks a bit big. It does adjust a lot and is wider than the stock sport screen.

@@leebarber7354 Hi I have one too. This is my second one for my motorcycle and one for the Rally. They are not the most attractive, but I love that you an adjust them up or down and look over to block most of the wind.
