John King began experimenting with arranging classical pieces for the ukulele in 1985 and soon realized the baroque guitar technique known as campanella was eminently adaptable to the ukulele's re-entrant tuning. Campanella, which means "little bells," is a way of playing successive notes on different strings to create a harp-like sound.

There will never be another as great as John King. He had the biggest heart.
I miss John King. He was a wonderful man. We shared a room in 2001 at the Ukulele Hall of Fame Expo in New Jersey. After the weekend we went out for big steak and a beer. What a guy!
Thanks for the upload. Great ukulele player he was...
Absolutely amazing. A whole different kind of inspiration than Jake S! Very articulate! Finger control. I want flamenco Spanish guitar but I also want Spanish articulation! To realize what this little sound box with the big sound can do.
Simplemente brillante!!
Ha convertido una obra maestra del folklore italiano en una pieza genial para un instrumento tan fantastico como es el uke!!
So beautiful!! Keep going on uploading videos like this
Maravilhosa execução nos transborda de sentimentos alegres e vibrantes
Beautiful played!! How long does it take to reach that level of proficiency?
A lifetime. :)
Brilliant. This man is a true virtuoso. Makes James Hill playing his uke with chopsticks seem kind of dumb.
Please teach me
