    Have to disagree with Jake about the underdog of all instruments. I would have to make a very solid argument for the viola

      thehalfninja1 Viola is used in most string ensembles, though, so I'd say ukulele is a pretty decent contender. I'd honestly make a strong argument for the Viol, or balalaika, or lute, or any number of underappreciated cultural instruments.
