Let me ask How accurate are these Transcriptions? Can they be used in the Creation of Subtitles? How well would Premieres Transcription work on audio from a Song?
Great questions. 1) I have found them to be about 95% accurate. Proper names or slurred speech can be more difficult. Proper punctuation is also hit and miss. For the strategies I lay out here for editing, no inaccuracy really matters because I'm just using it for reference to cut my video. 2) There is actually a separate tab in the text panel just for this. So yes, you can easily generate subtitles in the text panel. All of these are customizable both in style/design as well as correcting any inaccuracies. This is where inaccuracies come into play more. Overall, it's quite reliable. 3) I've done very little here, but it can transcribe songs. It probably depends on how clearly the speaker sings and how much their voice is separated from the instruments. Some songs it will do much better than others. Hope that helps.
Thanks for a great guide!
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for saying so.
