I love how she went to Yankee Stadium and met all the players etc - and THEY were the ones who were star struck. She has Presence. She has Aura. She has Star Power like few others attain. I pray to God she stays this grounded and humble. Right now, she IS a gift.

Magic never taunted Larry in a game or made dozens of disparaging remarks in public as Reese has done to Clark.
And both Magic and Bird were highly skilled players, whereas Reese is only a banger with negligible skills. Reese would only have 5-6 rebounds per game if the rebounds off her own missed shots weren’t counted.

CC is a miracle...no not. She is a product of good genes, two older brothers who keeps her grounded, and two wonderful parents. Together with her inner drive from start and her possibilities to try different sports have made her to who she is. But, most of all, she has done all the endless work day in and day out! Beyond that, she knows to not speak if it is not positive...

Her practice and workouts have enabled her to excel over the opposition, which is
Being outclassed. This isn’t just one season, but she has been working to achieve excellence, including speed, accuracy and strength since childhood.
Certainly her parents, teammates and coaches have all facilitated her achievements, but it requires exceptional motivation as well.

    • @clifforddfowler

Caitlin had to learn to control her emotions, and has created an attractive demeanor that the public gets to see, and they love her for it. But she can sometimes be an entitled tyrrant in her practices and during her games, to the point that her coaches had someone take videos of her outbursts, her body language, and the attitude she brought with her that made many of her teamates not want to play with her, early in her career, andvshe didnt have many friends until she got in college. Caitlin has the same competitive spirit that MJ, Kobe, and Bird had, that would reward you for hard work you put in, but that wouldn't pass you the ball if you didnt put in the work. But she would scream at you, and have a fit if you didnt perform to her expectations, or have the same desire to win as she does. Make no mistake, Caitlin Clark is no Angel, and if you ever saw the real Caitlin, she might look like siamese twins for a moment, because she is a dichotemy, a woman super-imposed over herself, with so much talent, but still human, with so much emotion for the game she loves, its almost uncontrollable....almost. But shes done a great job of bringing the overly emotional Caitlin under control, for the most part, and in the publics view, becuse she didnt like the look herself, when she saw it for the first time, let alone all the other times until she finally took control. And she1 finally understands the meaning of empathy, and how to apply it responsibly. All of this has made Caitlin a much better person, and a much better ball player as well. But dont go thinking shes soft, or underestimate her abilities on the court, as shes handled everything they've thrown at her so far, and shes held her daggers in check, so far. But shes a Mamba in her own right, another baby-faced assassin, and she just watching the clock, waiting for the right time to unleash the venom of her bite on the league, and its coming. There's a new sheriff in town, (as MJ once told Magic and Larry), and her name is Caitlin Clark!!😮

Reggie isn't wrong, but he also came into a more contentious time in the league. Nowadays rookies come in to high praise and expectations. You don't see NBA players shitting on incoming rookies. When Wembenyama was the new hype everyone gave him his flowers, even as an 18 year old kid. They were all saying how they were excited to see what he could do and how he's going to be scary? Why? The NBA doesn't need more good publicity but he taps into a French market and helps get more Euro-fans, so a rising tide rises all ships. The WNBA has been a beached whale with no tide. CC is bringing all the ocean, and these idiot are standing there trying to stop the ocean. Whinging about her fans, saying they don't like the new fans, even while they take cheap shots at CC and shit on her every chance they get. No one ever says CC is the reason for our rise in popularity, it's always "this entire rookie class" as if it isn't 99% CC and 1% at most everyone else. They don't like these new millions of fans, it was better when it was just Phyllis, Steve and Betty coming to the games. It's too loud, get off my lawn...
Also Shaq is correct. If you break the scoring record in the NCAA that's impressive, but to do that and be 3rd all-time in assists and to create more points than any other player by over a thousand points during college is wild. She's not only going to eventually score more points than any other player in the WNBA, she will "create" more points by scoring and assist than any other player in the history of the league (barring injury of course)

There was more overlap between Bird's small forward play and Magic's point guard play...particularly passing and midrange shooting. So the Bird/Magic thing was different even if Angel was getting 16 rebounds every game, it still wouldn't be the same because of lack of overlap.

But it’s like comparing Kirk Cousins to Tom Brady
Kirk, solid reliable player, great IQ, tough, but beatable with a good defensive scheme.
Tom Brady, unstoppable force of a player that is an immediate +10 offensive buff to whatever team he’s on, there is no stopping him, only potentially slowing him down.

CC is the goat!!! Angel is one in a dozen player that has not changed the WMBA game at all!!! Angel is nothing like Magic or Bird Clark is just like Pistal Pete, Magic, Bird, and Jordan.
She walk the walk without the bitchy talk! Even after taking all the punishment from brutal fouls!!!!!

This year... they'll make it to the tournament...put up a good fight...but won't win it...but next year...and many years to come... they'll set the record for back to back to back to back WNBA Championships... because... next year there will be a new coach... immediately players will be let go...and certain players will be brought in...a center defender and more forwards that can run, catch Caitlin's passes, and put it in the basket.. they'll average 100 points per game.

Forget about the Olympics. Let’s get to basketball season and she can show us what’s she made up. Hopefully she’ll live up to the hype. It puts a little more pressure on her. The next Olympics will be here before she knows it!

I think Caitlin Clark could score in the NBA because they way WNBA play they would be so many fouls on her. WNBA still playing on the 1980s sliders 🤕
