Thank you for the video about this seemingly useless technique. We love to use anything we can find. Also the times at 5:14 and 6:18 are wrong. The rupee slide optimally takes 5.5 hours and the best attempt at deku nut duping I believe was about 3.5 hours, so saving 2 hours. The reason Anorakkis has told you that it could save you that much time is because you had multiple attempts with the rupee slide in your run and this is just free timesave
Some more fun tidbits: - There's no area music. The only music that plays for 3.5 hours is the enemy music for the two seconds before the baba dies again. - New nuts stop having collision after about the 256th nut. - One time, only Coro despawned. I wonder what happened to him. - This trick is a surefire way to make anything chat says suddenly seem interesting.
@@kethaldo TP was released for the 20th anniversary of the Zelda series, next year being the 40th anniversary is a pretty big deal, I expect a full-fledged Ocarina of Time Remake to release on Switch 2.
@@LurkingWeb wouldn't mind a TP port too! I want to play this game in HD, i don't want to pull out the Wii U lol. A WW port would also make me very happy too
@@mipmop6969 Both WW and TP ports are already ready, but they keep them for emergency, I do believe this year won't have them because it will be already too stacked, I expect them for 2027, any earlier would be surprising but 2026 can warrant them releasing.

Ocarina of time speedrun: oh yeah just keep equipping this item, run backwards, and roll into a bomb twilight princess speedrun: collect an incredibly high amount of nuts, wait several days to clip into a wall, long jump with your boomerang.
also i'd like to point out, the nut duplication is VERY reminiscent of bloodbornes rune duplication glitch (you have to kill a dude, he drops a rune, you then run into a specific location that unloads the previous area and all of it's enemies and loads it back in over and over , similar to how running closer to the spring reloads the monsters spawn.)
Twilight Princess speedruns really do feel like so much work for so little; people finding ways to perform nearly TAS level tricks to save a minute or two in a three hour speedrun

I was pretty unclear in this part. The Deku Nut Duping saves time over the Rupee Slide by a lot, but does not save time in getting to the forest temple compared to a normal speedrun. The Deku Nut Duping allows us to skip more transforms in the long run by obtaining the boomerang and getting out of bounds to get the master sword early.

I think the death of OoT speedrunning is largely responsible for the rise of TP speedrunning.

You know, maybe we as a community were wrong for complaining that TP doesn’t get any cool new glitches.
It may be one of the longest Zelda speedruns, but with patience, we do seem to find some of the most insane glitches residing within this game
