About to download it, I don’t have soothe2 and I feel like this is a great option for cleaning up vocals in a natural way Plus I already pay for waves so it’s just a bonus
Thanks for the honest review, I've bought it immediately and whatever it's doing under the hood is awesome and transparent. Price point is another plus,
I replaced sooth2 with curves equator it has: no artifacts uses much much less cpu it’s easier to use and gives better results (i think) and it’s cheaper.
This one is definitely a game changer! You should get it and try it out! wavyproaudio.com/products/waves-curves-equator-dynamic-resonance-suppressor-plug-in
Definitely, Waves' product is more like a plugin similar to Oeksound's Soothe 2. While Soothe 2 works well, it seems quite overpriced, and its simplified GUI is rather ugly and boring. In contrast, Waves did an incredible job with the visual representation and functionality-it looks and sounds tremendous! I prefer Waves' product for its affordable price tag, amazing graphic representation, and because it works sonically similar to Soothe 2. Why spend more on something that looks awful and is overpriced?

This is basically a mastering plug-in, huh? But I'm not sure these sorts of plugins do anything exceptional. You're eq'ing, basically, some dynamic... And it's attenuating some "resonances", but what's wrong with those resonances? I worry that you're losing some of the quirk that makes your mix already sound cool. I also wonder whether there's benefit or harm to turning something like this on on your overall mix too early on in the process. Like, say you've got your balance set but then you need to reduce some of the low end in your bass but as you do that this plug-in automatically brings out low end in the kick drum at the same time. So, see, you can kind of be going around chasing your tail when you've got these automatic plugins on. That has happened to me and it added more time to my mixing process.
Anyone saying this replaces Soothe2 probably doesnt have Soothe 2. For one, they are very different. Equators is more broad tonal shaping, and Soothe 2 is more ultra fine resonance suppression due to its thousands of bands. Soothe 2 has onlin and offline oversampling control, band solo, and the ability to toggle left/right and mid/side balance per band. They are different. Would be better to have both, than think one would replace the other
This was as good as smooth operator with some extras…soothe with bloom used separately works 1000x better cause you wouldn’t want to cut and boost on the same eq anyways and because they came first so I already have this tech and in my opinion better tech.

Whenever Waves put their mind to creating a plugin they usually work better than the competition's stuff.

I bought this with your link but it’s not in Waves Central. The link you sent is for Waves Central and not the plug in itself
Is that the Same Like Waves Silk Vocal but just for more than Vocals?
Can anybody answer? If I already have Curves equator, do I still need FabFilter Pro EQ?
No, stock EQ

You need to try this plugin. I didn’t mention all the features here but the Waves plugin has pretty much everything you just listed. 🤫
Looks great. I have just got WA production DERES which is good.
I gotta keep messing with it or something, because I literally couldn’t hear a difference 😕
Maybe your mix is perfect and doesn’t have any resonance. 😎
@@waynewav I had a feeling you would say that 😅
BYE BYE Soothe 2, BYE BYE DSEQ 3.8+
HELLO Waves Curve Equator!
Definitely easier to use than soothe
Wait hold up. Is that Flame?
‘Apart from Christ I’m slime.’ Man, that’s a pretty toxic bit of theology right there
just replace it !!!!

I am sorry I could not follow your explanations because of the frequent harsh digital clipping clicks in your video.
This plugin is garbo. I ran this through so much stuff only to find out it doesn't work as advertised. Reso 2 is a better option
