    What do you think? Any differences with Soothe 2 that are important to you?

    I already purchased the plugin, when I saw another video when it was introduced. I simply wanted to use it for some resonance frequencies on vocals. But your video explains much more of the potential of this plugin. E.g. I will give it a tray on the main bus. Thank you very much.

    Excellent! I could hear the mud reduction in your early examples and, as you say, it did seem to increase the perceived loudness and certainly overall clarity. Like you’ve just polished the glass! :-) Also it cleaned up the vocal nicely. It’s one of those fx that notices far more when it’s bypassed. Then you really miss it. I shall definitely add it to my collection via your affiliate link. Cheers! 👍

    I do own this plugin and I like it and use it a lot. One (very) important feature I feel is missing is the ability to hear the delta of a specific node or at least a separate delta for each of the 4 regions.

    An interesting short overview of this new plugin from Waves, thank you very much. 👍
    I have one question: Are the options shown in terms of "frequency cosmetics" and similar not also possible with Neutron 5?

      Thank you. I have not tried Neutron 5 yet but maybe someone else can answer your question.

    As much as I wanted to not like this plugin because it's Waves, it actually does a decent job. I'm using it on mix tracks if I want to contain some frequencies (electric guitar is a good one). Not bad for $40 but not sure if I would go any higher. There is some stiff competition in this type of plugin and obviously Soothe is the best in class but there's a hefty price hike. There are others in between but I would demo this one for some general purpose use at $40.

      I feel the same! Plus The pricing strategy for a bunch of these plug in companies baffle me! Seems like they decide how much a plugin is, double it, then constantly have it at half price. I’m super interested , I’ll give this a go for sure. I’ve had a close eye on Soothe but couldn’t justify the 200$ spend. That money can get you a lot in the vst world. The price makes me suspicious, such a price difference for something similar or better, so strange that they’ve gone so low. 1/4 of the price … Is their strategy to win back all the reputation damage they did with the waves upgrade plans?

    • @LanewoodStudios
      @LanewoodStudios  3 месяца назад +1

      @OldMateMuz give it a try and let us know what you think!

    • @marksaxon_plays

      @@OldMateMuz They still have their same upgrade plan but if you're on the Windows platform, you should be good for a long while. Folks like me on Macs have to be cautious but this is a V15 plugin so Mac should be good for at least 3-4 years (longer if you don't update your OS). Demo it and see what you think. I will say they did a good job with the interface and it's pretty quick to dial in the adjustments. It's not as aggressive which is a good thing in my opinion. I wouldn't pay a dime over the sale price though. Soothe2 is the standard in this area and it will probably go on sale soon but not sure how deep the sale price will be.

    Do I still need Silk Vocals if I get Equator? The two plugins are similar, aren't they?

    • @LanewoodStudios
      @LanewoodStudios  2 месяца назад +1

      I don't think so. Silk is more like a total vocal processor. Curves Equator is resonance suppression.

      I personally have no experience with them but maybe checkout the clones from Warm Audio, or Lewitt or even Austrian audio has an affordable OC16 which seems interesting.

      No microphone at this price point will beat a C414, but the Haun MBC 660 L is a very good condenser microphone with cardioid capsule. It beats any large diaphragm mic below $ 500,-.

      @mozwall_2560 On March 26, 2023, in a controversial move, Waves introduced their subscription service, Waves Creative Access, while removing the Waves Update Plan as well as the sale of perpetual licenses. I don't support these dirty tactics and hate the way it was done. I have dignity and pride and will never touch them for that action. Plus there are many other plugs that are considerably better. @@LanewoodStudios Are you affiliated with them? I see that my original comment got deleted about the subscription model for Waves plugins, Waves Audio are scammers and very unethical company. My friend used to work for them and told me about all the scams. Once they screwed us over we will not be back ever. All of my friends and studio owners have already dumped Waves and everyone I meet I definitely share about their garbage policies and VSTs.
      I do like your channel and watch it often but it's not cool that you deleted my post stating the truth. NOT COOL!!!! I am very disappointed!!!
      Also, All Waves VSTs look like they are from the 80s and these days there are so many way better VSTs that respect their user base and treat their customers with appreciation.
      Audio Waves looses tons of customers every day, no one want to use that garbage.
