    I maintain a twist-out for weeks by using this "scrunchie" method. I usually can do the "scrunchie" method for three days in a row before having to re-twist! (Perfect for my lazy days!) Also, it helps to elongate the hair!
    Hope it Helps!

    I know this is an older video but I just wanted to thank you!! After months of struggling with how to maintain my twist outs without having to re twist my hair every night, I finally got it! I will be 12 months natural this Saturday, March 7th and im super excited that I am finally getting this natural thing down. I watch all your videos all the time, but I guess the other day it clicked! I'm currently on 3rd day hair and I'm loving it! Thank you so much! You are truly my hair inspiration!

    This ponytail method has literally changed my nighttime routine so drastically. Never could keep my ends from matting up without retwisting all my hair. I have been doing this for a few weeks and I think I am losing less hair now. Never would have thought to twist the ponytail. Thank you!!

I tried your homemade hot oil treatment and aloe vera juice and the twist-out (which I have never done before)! But this morning I wake up and my hair has never felt so soft and manageable. Thank you so much for the videos and sharing your recipes. I have a new found strength to go all the way with my natural look.

    It has been a year since I tried this method. When I tried this method, I became very frustrated, and my hair did not turn out right. Recently I decided to try this method again and my hair turned out so much better! It's not perfect, but in the future I will become better at it! I am definitely doing this method again. I get more definition, and it's way better than doing two strand twists.

One year after my big chop, and I love my hair...Preshrink and all.(smile) I have fine, and for now thin hair but my little girl hair is thick and strong like Naptural85 and she is enjoying just being herself with it. Because this hair journey is something that I share with my daughter it helps bring us even closer. Thank you Naptural85.

    Your videos, this one in particular, are some of the first videos I watched that actually motivated me to stop straightening my already relaxer damaged hair and to really work towards a healthier care routine for my hair. That was about three years ago. Now I know how to protect my hair when straightening and know not to overdue it. Now I have become confident enough with my natural texture and have gone as far as to start my own channel, I just wanted to drop in and say thank you.

    Hi! I'm 15 and I decided to go natural, I've been natural for 3 months now and I'm not very good at doing my hair to be honest but I really want to be natural and stay that way! Any advice for a teenage beginner?

    • @Carpathianpixie
      @Carpathianpixie 10 лет назад +7

      Congrats! Dont worry, I've been natural for over 3 years now and im still not good at doing my hair, lol. I stick to wash and gos, they're easy and and way faster but when I was transitioning braid-outs were my best friend. I used to do about 10-12 cornrows on my head at night and then when i woke up in the morning my hair would be good to go. Now, granted it took about an hour to braid my hair up but all i had to do was tie it up at night and it could last me a few days until i had to do it again. Just make sure to properly moisturize it the first time and it'll stay soft and moist.
      P.S. sorry for the long response

    • @yellowshelbs0318
      @yellowshelbs0318 10 лет назад +2

      ive been natural my 22 years of life and started doing my own hair in high school. the best advice i have is find products(shampoo and conditioner) that work for your hair and for styles trial and error works best. as for moisture always apply your oils last because any other moisture like water will evaporate by itself but oil on top the oil seals in the water. coconut and almond oil are my favorites. very moisturizing without getting to greasy

    • @TheCocoonline
      @TheCocoonline 10 лет назад +2

      check out honestly erica's channel for washing tips, keep your hair stretched, use a leave in conditioner to maintain moisture, and learn how to do two strand twists. avoid using a comb to reduce breakage--finger detangle instead. good luck!

    This tutorial is great! I love that you tell us why you like flat twisting better. I wish I had seen your video before I tried. I also love that you explain how to do the flat twist in detail. I can not do my own hair well and this definitely helps. Thanks!

    This gives me hope! My hair is coily like yours and my twistouts are always epic fails ...it's just frizz and coils hanging out...almost no different than hair I started with! Your hair is even more coily than mine so I'm so happy to see how well this turned out on your hair! Can't wait to try it!

    I just saw this video for the first time yesterday. I have 3c/4c hair which isn't nearly as full and lovely as yours. But the technique is awesome and my hair looks so full! I'll be doing this technique for my twist outs from now on! Thanks so very much for the video!

    Thank you, this method is a tremendous help for me, since I have so much pain in my hands. This condenses the time I have to work with my hair. I also like your method when taking out your hair limiting the fuzz & the look is fresh and fantastic looking. Thank you so much for sharing your skill(s) and knowledge. I appreciate it!

    Every since I watched this video and that was like some months ago I now twist my hair like this for my twist outs and it comes out really pretty, I don't have her technique down like that but over a period of time I'll get it.

    Wow, great video! I've been natural for a few years and was looking for some quicker ways to do my twists when I ran across your video. You went into detail to explain how to do your entire head and what to do to maintain the style--I love that. Thanks and keep the videos coming.

    Thank you soooooo much for posting this video! My twist came out better than they ever have doing it the usual way. And your direction was great, I've watched other videos showing how to do flat twist, but I still couldn't get the hang of it. You're wonderful!!!

    Thank you thank you thank you!! I've been natural for over a year, and I have been at my wits end trying to find a signature style for me that didn't take hours or a lot of money to get done.
    I love this technique! Really easy to do once you get a feel for it, and it lasts for days! My hair's still not long enough to pull back into a scrunchie, so I cut the legs and crotch out of a pair of stockings and used that for a twist on the pineappling method. Again, many thanks!!

    DANG IT! I AM SO GLAD YOU POSTED THIS! I am going to try this tonight! Love the idea of adding sections of the hair as you twist so that you won't have to separate. GOT IT! GOT IT! THANK YOU!

    Hi there, thanking you, I tried this method last night on my 4 something type hair, I got the best twist out results that I have ever had!! I added some Eco styler gel on top of my Shea butter for added hold, I have ALWAYS found it so difficult to get a really nice defined twist out!!
