That’s sad because you basically believe that every influencer got paid for reviewing this brush and lied. And you probably thought that they were using editing their videos and was using a different brush and when they got their hair detangled they acted like they were using the Unbrush. Not all of them lie. Have a little more faith in people.
Same! I don’t believe that other influencers lied about the brush. I’m not thinking of them at all. I just trust Whitney. The fact that she is over the moon about the brush means a lot.

Flimsy bristles are a GOOD thing for type 4 hair. That’s why brushes like the unbrush and tangle teezer work so well. We don’t need stiff and thick bristles in our hair, we need flexible ones that won’t put to much force on our kinks and curls to minimize breakage while brushing
I was HIGHLY underwhelmed when I took mine out the box too. I just knew my $20 was wasted BUT nope. It’s legit! I use the Unbrush with my tangle teaser..it’s magical. I shed a thug tear while watching this (for real) b/c natural hair can be challenging af..and I say that with love. It has been a journey trying to figure it out over the years. Then when you think you have it down to a science, your hair changes! lol Been rocking with you for years Whitney 🥂 ❤
Yeah Amazon tripping with the prices. You said 20 bucks and all I see is 50 or more.
It’s due to the nylon flexible bristles. Just do some research and see which hair brushes materials works best for hair and why.
The same with a wide tooth comb, one it should not have seems, 2 it should be made of good fabrics.
Conair Dr knot products works amazingly because of the material it’s made off

girl it doesnt work well for me. medium length 4a-4c hair its a little too flexible.
I love it. Cut my detangling time down in half and it doesn’t pull my hair when I brush through it like the other brushes I’ve used.

I’m glad you tried it with hair saturated with conditioner and water-that’s how I get it to perform so well on my tangle-prone hair. I love my unbrush! It was not love at first try though but we’re locked in now 🔒 ❤!
I bought this brush because we have a house of all different hair types and I hated having to use different tools for each person. This brush truly works on everyone hair. Additionally for people with shorter hair it is very doable to detangle on dry hair, for longer hair highly recommend wetting your hair first. This is a good product 🥰

Sallys had a version of this brush a few years ago, it was orange and pink, it was amazing at detangling but fell apart at the seams after a few months. But it was $5. So I kept repurchase. After the 4th brush fell apart I gave up. Now that I think of it, I should have jst superglue it back! I think I still have one in the cabinet 😂
Oh, the Plugged In Lightweight Cushion-less Vented Paddle Brush. I did the same, and ultimately started to superglue it. That brush was my hair's everything. I think they are all dupes for the Curl Keeper Flexy Hair Brush.
I was coming to chime in and say the same thing! Yes this brush looks identical to the Sally's orange and pink one. I loved that brush! Unfortunately it never had any grip and with slippery conditioner hands in the shower, it never survived those drops to the shower floor 😫. I got tired of replacing it. But MAN that brush was bomb.
When I first used it, I definitely had to do the pause and look 😂 because I could not believe that I was actually detangling my hair with a brush. I usually just finger detangle and use a wide-tooth comb and call it a day. I was convinced that brushes would just rip my hair out. Nope, not this one. 👍🏾

I bought it a few months ago. Everything she said is correct. I have never been able to detangle my hair in under 10 minutes. NEVER. I have the other brush too and I prefer the Unbrush.

Girl !!!! I feel you in this video ... i felt the same way when i bought it , that it felt super flimsy and to my surprise it literally cut detangling time in half . For the first time today I used it on my oldest daughters hair and it didn't take a life time to finish it . Best product I've bought in a very long time !!!!!!!
The hype is definitely real! I was able to detangle my hair dry. That’s unheard for me. The unbrush has been a game changer for me!

Why does NO one remember this brush at Sally's years ago for $4.99🤔...Was not called the unbrush tho...I went on EliElizabeth here on RUclips and 5yrs ago she did a haul on Sally's and 2:58 right after she shows the tangle teezer you can see the brush that is exactly like the unbrush it's pink & orange...
The brush is by the brand Plugged In. I've been using this brush since 2016-2017 and it's only brush l use when I don't exclusively finger detangle.

Conair had a brush like this before too at cvs in neon colors. I loved it until it broke and could never find it again
I don't know what it was, but I didn’t get the same results with the Tangle Teaser that I did with the Unbrush. I don't know if the bristles are slightly longer, more pliant, or mixed with magic, science, and prayer, or WHAT. I do know that the handle and the weight make this the most comfortable brush I have ever used on my 4z hair (and I have a repetitive motion injury). So, maybe the way I can hold it, and the fact that it is wider and shorter than my other paddle-style detanglers, makes it more efficient and more controlled. It is making me pick up bad habits, like not detailing and twisting my hair before washing, then not detangling after and hopping into bed with damp, loose hair with just a bonnet. I did it to test the brush, and I just realized that I have been doing this since NOVEMBER. I will restart my tangle-prevention methods, but I should be bald by now, and the brush should have broken in half by December, but NOPE.

Yes! The Unbrush really shines on soaked hair. I’ve NEVER been able to detangle sections as large as I can with this brush. I also thought it felt really flimsy but it’s held up with no issues.
I loved it so much I bought a couple more just in case I misplace it. 😅

This same type of brush has BEEN at Sally’s since the beginning of time. It’s pink and orange. Yes, the brush is flimsy because the middle eventually gives out and it pulls a lot on the hair.
I’ve had mine for 3 years. My natural stylist recommended it and is the only detangler that her salon uses
I feel the same way…every time I use that brush. I cannot get over how easy it is to detangle my hair and how it is not a challenge anymore getting through my tangles. I am in LOVE!!

I was convinced when it went through my coily hair in a matter of minutes, something that use to take 35 mins was reduced to 15 minutes. I am also super tender headed so I really loved this brush when I didn’t make my scalp sore from pulling my hair and bring tears to my eyes.

Ok so I find that although the UNbrush works for the most part (75% of the time), if you have tighter coils/4b/4c hair, it’ll def miss the smaller knots! Especially if you continue to use it over time. I ended up switching back to my Denman D38, so I gave the UNbrush to my daughter who has 3a/3b hair and she loves it! So if you plan on keeping it, DEFINITELY finger detangle first! The brush is not fool proof.
Ok i guess am sticking to my EZ detangler brush then 😅

I love natural curly and coily hair girlies reviewing products but so often I can’t find 4c reviews on them which is my hair type and I’m always apprehensive of buying products just because they work well for 3b-4a hair since my 4c might annihilate the item or it end up ripping a lot of my hair out 😅

I have bra strap coarse & thick 4c hair w/ high density that I’m trying to grow to tailbone length, so I def didn’t want any setbacks by using this brush for a long period of time. But if you’re looking for a super quick wash day (which for me is anything under 2 hrs), this would def be the brush to use. I would just make sure the wash day after that is done w/ a more thorough brush.
I don’t know. I think it works really well. My mom bought it and my aunt and they have coarser thick hair texture and it’s amazing. Both dry and wet.

I did the same thing a week ago!!! Compared the unbrush to the Felicia Leatherwood and then double checked the unbrush detangling effectiveness with the Leatherwood brush. Yes woman!! Was crazy!
I bought this brush about a month ago because of another natural hair RUclipsr. My whole family had different hair types, but I'm type 4. The whole family loves it. I bought different color ones so they can leave mine alone 😂 I love this brush.

I bought this brush when I kept seeing people rave about it. I couldn't believe how well it worked. I tried it on my dry hair, wet hair, tangled wet hair, and it felt like magic. I bought another one for travel.
I’ve had mine for a while now. I always start detangling using the brush vertically first and you will get right through your strands. It’s the only thing I use now. I always detangle in the shower on wet hair. Mine is black and teal. I absolutely love it!!!

I bought a brush similar to this in Italy and I love it. It's light and not too hard. I used it on my pressed hair and to help detangle with conditioner. It worked very well. It also helped massaged my scalp well
Detangling large sections is a game changer and time saver. Oh boy! It’s still safer doing it in smaller sections ladies, but this is tempting…. Thanks for the video. I have the Felisha, and I’ll try this brush too.

The hype is real and I was so happy to see you review this. People thought it was all hype but seeing the ad with the child who was autistic using it made this severely tender headed woman hit the pay now button with no regrets. Ladies, I’m not one who likes to comb my hair. I was a week past wash day and boy was my hair matted! I dreaded doing my hair…. I grabbed this brush with no hope. This wasn’t my hair after washing, I needed to detangle dry hair and from bottom to top it glided through my matted hair with ease and not too tough on my scalp. I didn’t feel it! I’m pleased

That brush is AMAZING, game changer. For ppl with carpal tunnel, ppl with tender headed. I like that the unbrush is good because it bends and moves to pull shedding hair. You do still need to know how to use the brush and not just go in all crazy on your hair. But still use the detangle from bottom to top in sections until you figure out what’s best for you. I can use the brush pretty fast myself and it cuts detangling time extremely. Even my hair is dirty and I have a lot product and it getting matted. I brush that middle that gets knotted and boom ponytail is back.
I love when Whitney is so impressed! Now I gotta go and get the unbrush!

I've been sick for months so my hair has been neglected for months. While I was in the hospital from 12/26-1/21 I ordered the unbrush to detangle my matted knots. I used a spray bottle of water and detangle and the Unbrush. It wasn't easy but it was easier than it should have been.
After watching this I'm excited to give it another go on wash day (yes, months in the making, I'm still recovering)! Thanks for a great review Whitney!

Well once again Whitney was right. I got this brush thinking huh, she said it's good. Well it's great. I love it. I used my melanin leave in and oil and wow. I still love my Felicia Leatherwood. This is a nice addition.

I find that putting the unbrush in a vertical direction first brushing through and then putting it horizontal (like a normal brush) works best

I fell the same way. The quality of the brush feels like a toy brush made for children that you would find at the dollar store but its detalngling ability is unmatched for me. I HATE detalnging my hair; I always put it off as long as possible (which usually makes things worse) and now I dont mind at all.

yes! It’s best for me to use on soaking wet hair too. That brush and the wet brush works best imo. The bristles look intimidating, but they shockingly work wonderfully. The leatherwood is just too stiff for me overall. BTW, thank you for your years of contribution. ❤

It usually takes 6 HOURS to detangle my daughter's hair! She has a massive amount of density. I was telling a family member about my detangle struggles, and she was like, "Girl! the unbrush!" I'm like, really?!? I ordered it. BABY! I WANT TO MARRY THAT BRUSH!! What used to take 6 hours now takes 40-45 minutes! Won't he do it!!
