Thankkk you cuz that “pineapple” used to have me waking up looking stupid the next morning lol. I would instead retwist the same little parts I can’t wait to try bigger parts for day 2 and on!

I love this. Never thought to retwist because I’m lazy, but if I do large sections maybe it won’t be so bad! My twist outs never last more than a few days, but that’s mostly because I play with my hair too much! 🙏🏾

If I didn't re-twist mine wouldn't last overnight lol! Once you start doing it it becomes second nature and you can do it very quickly. I'm normally watching tv or something when I do mine.

I'm so glad I found your channel. My hair has been natural over a year and I've yet to wear it out in a natural style. I'm not going to lie, I have a slight anxiety attack thinking about retwisting my own hair nightly because I've been going to a licensed professional since I was 12, so I have no relationship with my hair. But I'm going to try this week since I'm off.🙏🏿🤞🏿

Thank you for this video and the step by step instructions on how you went about maintaining your twist out. My daughter has 4C hair and luckily loves her curls but maintaining her twist out was becoming so cumbersome that I just wind up putting box braids in her hair. Her hair is currently in twists for the day and this video has given me the confidence to continue to allow her to love her hair while maintaining it.
    Thank you

This is so nice to see. I have 4c hair as well and personally, my definition will not last if I just pineapple or sleep with a bonnet. I was feeling like something was wrong because mine wouldn’t last overbite and I thought the extra manipulation of retwisting at night was “bad”. But you made yours last 2 weeks. I’ll try that. I’ve only ever lasted 1

I will keep this in mind! I do tiny little twist on wash day for my twist out and wear them until I’m ready to take them out. The pieces are so small they look better as they frizz out so I can wear it for weeks without retwisting at all. I use pure oil to fluff the curls in the morning! Thanks for your video. Us naturalists need all the techniques we can try!

When I say THANK YOU! 👏 This is the best method thus far to preserve a twist out. I was doing that pineapple thing and my twist were still flat and frizzy the next day; I was having to re-twist my hair every other day ! 😭. I’m hoping this method gives me at least 2 weeks before having to re-twist, but will see. 🤞🏾

True, the retwisting stretches your hair while maintaining most of the twists, that’s why it looks better with every day. I’m naturally too, I used to try to retwist the same small sizes, that’s painstaking and I would get discouraged, nobody has that kind of time. This here will make it easier to go a few days with your twists and much less labor.
