This was such a fun video! I think once you have a lot of stuff and you know what you like the sub boxes are not as useful.

I have cancelled my scrawlr box subscription. I loved the anticipation of getting the box every month but contents, more often the not, didn't inspire me. The expense was the final decider because whilst I liked some of the supplies (and after seeing an unboxing sometimes wished I had continued with the subscription) it wasn't worth the cost every month to get things which I didn't really like. Thanks Julie I do love your channel and the art that you do.

Very fun series to watch! I appreciate what you said at the end about it being helpful to know what you do NOT like, in addition to what you like. I'm an on/off subscriber to ArtSnacks for all the same reasons as you -- love trying new things and also no, not all of them are for me. It's also generally geared toward drawing which is not my primary arty focus. Thanks for sharing!!

I've never subscribed to an art box. I've thought about it but I have way more supplies than I need or can use. I do think it could be fun, however, and may change my mind but with no expectations. In the meantime, I've enjoyed seeing yours and what you do with them.

I like the idea of getting a box of new supplies every month, but when I see the unboxings, it’s a little disappointing. The upside is, by watching the unboxings, (not just yours) I know what supplies I want to try! Thanks for giving your honest opinion on the products you received, very helpful information!!❤️

I started getting a die-cutting craft kit that you can buy just one of, and have continued it for over a year. I love getting new supplies and the coordination of the colors is really helpful. It comes with papers, dies, varieties of paints, markers, ribbon, tools, ect. Trying some of the unfamiliar supplies has taken my art in a whole new direction and the challenge when the palette is out of my wheelhouse helps me grow as an artist. I never expected to like it so much, I've never done a subscription before, but if you find one you like that isn't a fortune it can really be worth it.

Sending a used paper pad is a bad look for Scrawlr. Pretty shocked they shipped that!
I tried Paletteful Packs and SmartArt each for 4 months. The first couple of months were fun, but the novelty wore off. I started to want more value for my money. Trying to cancel my SmartArt subscription was a nightmare, but Paletteful Packs made it easy.
I’m glad I gave subscription boxes a try. It encouraged me to be a little more adventurous. Rather than spend money on curated boxes, I feel my money would be better used towards trying supplies that appeal to me but normally wouldn’t buy.

This was a great video! The paint pens in the last box say you have to shake them well first, so I don’t know if you did that off camera, but if you didn’t, maybe they behave differently after :)
