Let me say Mr. Shabby Guy how relaxing it is to watch you work your miracles. You are so talented and have come a long way. Congratulations on your success. Truly professional workmanship.
This is absolutely stunning you are a true artist and a great teacher thank you so much for all your trips and sharing your wisdom and knowledge with us have a great evening God bless
Wow 😱😱😱. The transformation on this piece is out of this world. It sure is beautiful, thanks for explaining your uses of tools and paints and why you do things, it's very helpful to understand what each of the products do and what you've learned from working with them. That old hardware is so cool! Beautiful as usual! Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
That vanity detail now pops! Very nice! I really love your technique. You do a little more prep and put in a little more elbow grease than many others doing the "shabby chic" stuff (myself included, lol) and it shows in the quality of your finished pieces! I appreciate the detailed steps as you go along. I've learned a lot from you! Keep up the excellent work! 👊
Most of the shabby chiced stuff I’ve seen, really is just very shabby. There’s nothing chic about applying cheap latex paint using an old concrete painting brush on a once proud, beautiful piece of furniture! Want to change furniture? At least make sure to do a proper and respectful job using proper tools, like the dude in this channel!!!
You're show is inspiring to me. I used to work with furniture. Very rewarding. Very refreshing to see someone who is not so heavy handed. Keep up the good work!
I just found your channel and now I'm binge watching all of your videos. You do beautiful work! This piece is gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing. 😊
I watch your videos all the time but so far this is my favorite tutorial...clear instructions and tips , thank you so much for sharing your talent, I’ll give Dixie bells products a try.
I’m so surprised and impressed how well the trick worked where you wet it first before doing the Cotton highlights. Definitely gonna try that 👌🏻 Thank you for sharing your techniques
Your project turned out very nicely. I wanted to mention a little trick that I and other woodworkers have discovered. I thought it was my little secret until I started seeing other RUclipsrs use it. I'm mentioning it because you kept talking about the heat, which can work against you. The little secret, when working with brown wax is baby wipes. Yep, if you've never used them you should try. They have lanolin in them, which keeps a baby's skin soft, but moisturizes wood, also, and buys you time when you don't want your wax drying too quickly. I promise this is not a joke. They are also handy for quick clean-ups and cleaning your hands. I wouldn't be without them. You have a good day and I'll keep checking out your videos. 🙂👍
I had no doubts this would turn out beautifully and as always you exceeded my expectations❤️❤️❤️. I do hope you will continue to do some projects with your original style prior to Dixie Bell. I love Dixie Bell but I loved your authentic style too😉
I just found this chanel. So far this is my favorite piece. The pale blue and white with the wax to define the detail work gave a great result. The one thing that might have added a little more elegance is a faux marble top rather than the wood stained finish. Still my favorite so far.!
Beautiful color. I've never seen this done like this before. Awesome job sir👍 I'd like to try the chalk paint on an old dresser I plan to refinish. I hope it will turn out nice like yours. 😁
I agree so much with some of the others, such beautiful work, and you explain everything where we can understand, thank u for sharing your projects with us
The uglier the project when you start, the more beautiful it is when you finish. You are very talented. This one is exceptionally beautiful.
One tip to using a dark wax is to use a clear wax first. It'll help control the dark wax and give you more time to work with it.
Great tip! Thanks.

It’s amazing you can stain over paint wipe it off and whalaaaaa! Beautiful
I am glad to see thst one can apply a water based poly over the wax. Its a great job. The old dresser looks really presentable now ... thanks.

Mine died a little too. :)
Excellent work as always. Pre stain there was a really cool 'bunny' effect, but with the stain it really pops into a very classy piece. Great job!
Thanks for watching buddy!
I kept seeing the bunny too lol
