The uglier the project when you start, the more beautiful it is when you finish. You are very talented. This one is exceptionally beautiful.

One tip to using a dark wax is to use a clear wax first. It'll help control the dark wax and give you more time to work with it.

Wow 😱😱😱. The transformation on this piece is out of this world. It sure is beautiful, thanks for explaining your uses of tools and paints and why you do things, it's very helpful to understand what each of the products do and what you've learned from working with them. That old hardware is so cool! Beautiful as usual! Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

That vanity detail now pops! Very nice! I really love your technique. You do a little more prep and put in a little more elbow grease than many others doing the "shabby chic" stuff (myself included, lol) and it shows in the quality of your finished pieces! I appreciate the detailed steps as you go along. I've learned a lot from you! Keep up the excellent work! 👊

    • @lottatroublemaker6130

Most of the shabby chiced stuff I’ve seen, really is just very shabby. There’s nothing chic about applying cheap latex paint using an old concrete painting brush on a once proud, beautiful piece of furniture! Want to change furniture? At least make sure to do a proper and respectful job using proper tools, like the dude in this channel!!!

Your project turned out very nicely. I wanted to mention a little trick that I and other woodworkers have discovered. I thought it was my little secret until I started seeing other RUclipsrs use it. I'm mentioning it because you kept talking about the heat, which can work against you. The little secret, when working with brown wax is baby wipes. Yep, if you've never used them you should try. They have lanolin in them, which keeps a baby's skin soft, but moisturizes wood, also, and buys you time when you don't want your wax drying too quickly. I promise this is not a joke. They are also handy for quick clean-ups and cleaning your hands. I wouldn't be without them.
You have a good day and I'll keep checking out your videos.
    🙂👍

I just found this chanel. So far this is my favorite piece. The pale blue and white with the wax to define the detail work gave a great result. The one thing that might have added a little more elegance is a faux marble top rather than the wood stained finish. Still my favorite so far.!
