You may be onto something here. Once they don't move the prices may drop. Give it a year or more (as customers by other brands). Let's face it. In this economy it's all about the price. Buy cheaper & buy a damn good warranty & run the piss out of it
I bought my 2023 Tacoma Sport "manual" Electric Lime MSRP in Nov 2022 for $36,550 That SAME 2024 Tacoma truck right now on Toyota web site is $41,800 MSRP NOW for those that CANNOT add that is a $5,250 difference.................................HOLY COW Batman back to the bat cave!
I like the 2023 TRD Sport. There is a black one at the dealership right down the road. It's just that old outdated looking interior that keeps me from getting it. Maybe I'll go tomorrow or maybe I'll just wait on a 24 SR5.
As someone with Two 30+ year old still running Toyotas, I will never again buy another Toyota until they return to building vehicles the average consumer can afford. I'm not paying $2500 for a turbo that decreases the longevity of aluminum engines.
Thanks for the transparency. It is as expected. When you make the premium and new technology common, prices are going to go up. My first new car and truck was a 1991 S-10 pickup truck. It was $9,995, but it did not have airbags fancy multimedia display, did not have automatic windows, and was a single cab. I would like for them to put a double din radio in the SR double cab with 4X4, hybrid engine, and 6 foot bed option striped of non essentials to lower the truck price. I am going to customize it myself and just want a good price on a base model that is capable. Willing to pay the extra $2,500 on a hybrid engine on the base model for more towing, better gas, and longevity.
Glad I bought my 2023 trdSport in August 23 for way less. 10,000.00 less without those 929.00 running boards. That's crazy. Something told me to get a new truck before this happened.. Good luck selling them. Wait for price drops as the lots fill up. I may end up upgrading down the road for a full size truck for them prices
I'm on my 4th Tacoma. I'll never buy another one! Price and that turd of a turbo motor! Never mind that hybrid? Want a hybrid buy a prius.
What’s wrong with hybrid? You get more torque.
Did you stick with carburetors instead of fuel injection too?
Boo hoo
I’m a loyal Toyota customer, but I hope this pricing comes back to bite them.
Also, southeast dealers should put more pressure on your distributor to stop with the useless garbage add-ons.

Good luck everyone finding that truck on a lot with no dealer mark up either

I’m glad I got my 2021 Tacoma
It's an entirely new vehicle it's not rocket science it would be more cash! Size, efficiency,, ride, etc all new...
When is 2024 available to the public?
They are available now
I want the TRD Sport in manual.
That's a big pill to swallow for a Tacoma that's not even a top tier trim. Will be much harder to justify if an ADM (DIO etc.) is attached...
Base MSRP Is $39,400 where did the extra amount come from? 4:48

Should only be around 1000 extra for a few microchips and circuit boards. Never more than a fricken top end computer.
