The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel ruclips.net/user/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.

Hey Ryan just wanted to let you know I’ve been fishing for 25+ years and on RUclips for well over 15+ years not that it matters but you are the first fishing channel I’ve subscribed and loved waiting for your uploads even though i’be seen some of Landshark, BlacktipH, Stanz, for some reason you have the most natural and best fishing channel. Much love from Palm Beach.

Have to check you page" grew up in the 70"s fishing blue heron bridge, pump house inlet, juno jupiter, in the 70"s riviera bch was a great lil" town had everything going on" I actually lived on the water next to port of palm bch which bought out the land and expanded the port now a cruise ship is parked there, sad that the town went to hell" everything is gone" movie theaters drugstores A&W gas stations commercial fish companys repair shops excetera exceteranow it's all run down looks semi abandon most of the buildings are gone, no redevelopment riding dirt bikes out in military trail and beeline highway it's crazy for the most part it's just a bunch of boat storage , Layton's park was awesome head boats & restaurant on the water , peanut island the rope swings we had with all the Australian pines that are now gone from the island sad sad but true the crime rate in his way out of control omg

Moved to ST Petersburg , few decades ago when Rivera bch went to crap around the time of the crack epidemic, but check some videos of juno bch pier big snook, jupiter inlet big snook, blue heron bridge, if you can keep the cudas away, or any dock that has a headboat":charters , as kids we'd get fish carcass , free bait and get smoked by 30,60 lb amberjack, 15lb jack crevalle 30lb cudas, even an occasional tarpon, dockside" if you can wrangle them out of the pilings , lake park haven't heard that name for awhile , I remember getting my Honda z 50 from there, & my yz 80 from the Suzuki shop in WPB , surfing the reef on reef road and the pump house, used to do road trips every couple few years but haven't been back for quite some time if you have a boat and fish the intercoastal hitting all the dock lights depending on day or night you can catch a array of species and snorkeling around blue heron bridge you really get a chance to see how to fish act underwater and how they stack up on incoming and outgoing tides I've actually fished underwater using a cheap rod and reel with shrimp with the clarity the water it's better than sight casting watching the fish grab your bait

That's cool to see you doing some kayak fishing. That pedal drive system is the reason I prefer the flipper drives like hobie. You can run them in much skinnier water due to the flippers folding up against the bottom of the kayak when you push one foot forward. If you are ever around the Cape coral ft myers area hit me up I'll put you in one of my hobies and I'll take you for some good inshore slam fishing. Enjoyed the content brother keep it coming.
