- Archimandrite Timotheos Ntumba, a friend of the diocese in Burundi, was ordained bishop on the Second Saturday of Lent by Patriarch Alexandria, His Beatitude Theodor II, together with a synod of bishops, priests, and deacons, at the Church of St. Nicholas of the Greek Community in Kinshasa.
Bishop Timotei of Goma was born in Kananga, Congo, on November 18, 1972. His parents are Orthodox priest Teofan Ntumba Nkuna and presbytera Marie Tshala Oshimata (see the first picture).
He was baptized into the Orthodox faith at the age of 13 after being catechized by the late missionary priest Archimandrite Hariton Pnevmatikakis.
He studied theology in Athens and holds a master's degree in dogmatics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he continues his doctoral studies.
He taught for 6 years at the "Fos Ethnon" Boys' High School in Kananga and later at the Theological School "St. Athanasius the Athonite" of the Orthodox University in Kinshasa, Congo.
He has translated missionary books, university textbooks, many written and spoken sermons from Greek into French and Tsilumba (the local Congolese language).

in the New Testament was written Christ told apostles to baptise christians in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. many such references in the New Testament. in Genesis in the Old Testament was written "let's create human in Our image and likeness", angels did not create the world so the word "Our" was considered to refer to the Holy Trinity. În Biserica lui Iisus Hristos nu se face spectacol nu se bate din palme că nu suntem la spectacol sau pe stadion 😢
Este important să înțelegem că practicile religioase pot varia în funcție de cultură și tradiție. Ceea ce poate părea spectacol pentru unii poate fi o expresie autentică a credinței pentru alții. Respingerea sau acceptarea anumitor practici trebuie să fie pusă în balanță cu respectul pentru diversitatea culturală și religioasă.
Biserica suntem noi si in functie de ,cat suntem de aproape de Dumnezeu asa ne si manifestam cu cat esti mai departe de Dumnezeu ai anumite retineri in manifestare dar cu cat esti mai aproape esti bucuros si te manifesti liber in limitele scripturale
Și dacă episcopii ar "da cu pumnul în masă" cum ar mai face misiune în Africa? Asta e cultura lor, până la urmă ei se bucură de Dumnezeu, așa se manifestă, e greu să schimbi o cultură. Că și la noi sunt multe chestii inventate de babe care au amestecat păgânismul cu orthodoxia, cu busuiocul sub pernă și multe alte prostii.

Are you Oriental Orthodox? If not, I think you’re confused. That was Greek Patriarch Theodore’s II of Alexandria and all Egypt that made him a Bishop. He is in union with all the other Eastern Orthodox Patriarchs/Bishops. I watched a beautiful liturgy he served with Patriarch Kirill( who is my Patriarch).
