OUTSTANDING VIDEO and description of each rule. I have a question about holding the extra length of lead in a loop. How do you feel about holding the loop in the center of the loop, like a figure 8 and holding the bundle with fists held vertically instead of underhand with fists facing upward? My thoughts for holding the folded loop way is we know as horse riders that we dont hold ropes in loops with our horses because if a 1,000 pound anything, pulls in that lead, it would pinch our hand off or be hurt and then get stuck in the loop. Also, Drivers dont drive their horses in wagons or carts with the reins in our hands facing upward because a horse can yank the rope right out of your hand and you dont have finger control. What do you say?

What would you suggest a person do when the judge will not wait for you to set up? I've run into this at shows, where I'm trying to take a few more seconds to get a good set up, and the the judge just takes off on her/his circle around the horse without waiting!

I would just go with it and tell your horse to whoa/stop. You will get more points, I' m assuming, by not missing your crossover marker than missing it and having your horse in a good set up. Also, practice setting up super quick and it will help.

What do you do with deep dirt - omg - my mare will square perfect in practice on smooth sand, the second she gets in the dirt, she fails, I fail; tips for this show pen pain?
