Ohio 4-H board member and national clinician Terry Myers discusses how to groom a horse for a show. Watch as topics such as clipping and whitening a horse’s legs, fitting a show halter, chain use and position, hoof preparation, banding a horse's mane, and more are broken down into easy-to-understand explanations perfect for riders and handlers of all ages.
Note: Use caution when applying baby oil to a horse’s face if you will be showing outdoors in the summer, as this can cause sunburn.
Cornstarch or baby powder are great choices when using a powder to whiten your horses legs.

I really appreciate his comment on rewarding a kid for doing their horse’s mane themselves.

Amazing horseman with a ton of experience 😍
Love it!
Such a lovely mare. Very feminine. Most people don’t like the appy eyes either, but I think they’re so full of expression.

Don't take the whiskers off the eye area! They protect their eyes.
And on the nose. In my country it leads to disqualification if you shave off the whiskers on the face
