I don't know why everybody is saying it's boring and too generic. They are the only band I actually have every single album to. This is what I love to rock out to. It is not boring or generic. It's fucking badass.
The production on this song is amazing. You can hear every individual instrument so clearly. Love that bass tone!

That would be DD Verni, he's effin awesome, I saw them open for Slayer on the rain in blood tour, Kerry still had hair and an arm full 9 " nails, befor reznor ever recorded a note, lol, I had no idea of what a mosh pit was like ,so I stayed at the railing in front of Kerry King ,,well , I'm 5'6",136 lbs, so needless to say , not even 10 sec. into angel of death , and I was pummelled to the floor, it's the only time I can say I was truly scared for my life
dude yes it is perfect. ever since wfo its been amazing. DD is the man - him and steve harris have the best bass sound in metal IMO.

Yeah but the problem is that the solos of the last 2 albums sounded like... normal shredding on scales, this solo actually showed some kind of "style" or "attitude" ya know what I mean?
Oh I hear what you mean now. Ya this solo fits extremely well. I'm not really into the detailed aspects of guitar soloing so to me senseless shredding sounds good haha
XD used to be the same for me before I realizing that if I wanted to be a lead guitarrist, I had to give my solos a special touch of my personality, so it wouldn't matter if they are kind of repetitive at times, people will know who is behind the instrument.
I know what you mean. Spontaneous attitude goes a long way over technical stuff in thrash.
I love the vocalist in Overkill and the band plays superbly killer.

Moonsorrow this is one of my favorite songs on the album actually. Overkill is not the best thrash band but defnitely the most consistent.

My band, Human A.D., opened for Overkill in '07. Was awesome. God I love Blitz and the boys. Stickin' to it for so long and not really changing. One of the best metal bands ever! And one of the best vocalist ever! Hands down. Had a great convo with Bobby also. Too awesome. Damn nice guy.
Been listening to them since Feel the Fire album. Loved how they made so many albums and still making more. One of my fav all time bands.
The guitar duo of Derek Tailor and Dave Minsk has got to be one of the best in thrash.

ive seen quite a few thrash bands live, just saw overkill for the third time last week, and i must say they always put on the BEST show!

I can't put my finger on it at the moment, but starting at :38 , 1:02 and so on. That riff has seen a lot mileage from overkill over the years. When I get some time I'll go through the catalog. One place off hand is Evil Never dies. Who Tends the fire is another.
I came up with those two in five minutes. I know there's a few more.
kewrock Thanks, I'll check too. I agree with you that the Kill uses what they like when they want it. Blitz said so himself in one of his interviews. I also located couple of their songs that can be easily played together as they have the same key, tempo and fiff. I have them somewhere on my channel but I'll look it up and put them in likes later. Meneocus Kill I just heard the new Metallica tonight. The title song is awesome, a couple others are really good. But once again, there's way too much filler and slow songs that kill the momentum of the album.
kewrock I'm gonna say that I have listened to new Metallica for several hours since Monday and although I wanted to hate them because they didn't put out anything new for so long and Lars is annoying I can't. I think that Hardwired is excellent album with wide range of styles from super trash to Load and Reload era ... Atlas, Rise is my favorite so far ... love that riff in the middle

They are only one of the last few thrash bands who are true there roots, and in this day and age of metal, they still shine through...and fucken heavy as .......Overkill rule

In the late 80’s early 90’s, as a teenager, I loved Metallica, Testament, Slayer, etc....but my “under the influence”, “years of decay”, “horrorscope” and “wrecking crew” cd’s got the most burn time! Overkill forever! 🤘 Bobby has the best metal voice (tied with Dio).

I met Bobby Blitz in 1992 right before Overkill's set in a local club. Fucking coolest dude ever. Just about broke my back stage diving at the show, but damn I'll never forget that night. \m/ -.- \m/

I met Blitz ,D.D.and Gustafson at City Limits in Penn Hills
after their show on the Years of Decay tour .Probably at least 30 years ago .I always come back to these guys,my fave of all time .They were all cool and respectful of the fans . They literally hung out with us.2 years ago I found a pic of me and Bobby the Blitz giving the middle finger in honor of we don't care what you say f you ! From that evening we hung out! Awesome

Was lucky enough to see them live during the "Horrorscope" tour and had a beer with Blitz after the show. It was surreal. Great to see them kicking ass after all this time.
